Chapter 178: Truly Strangers I

...........

Words can not even begin to describe the ridiculousness of such a Treasure for when Yovan says their all, he means it... All the Treasures of the Alliance of the D, and the advanced kingdoms that came from the moons.

"Well, spread out, and take whatever you like," Yovan instructed as he walked into the giant Ship himself, following after him was Kalifa who went on to hold his hand.

The Strangers were after all pirates, so they scattered almost instantly, delving into the depths of the Ship, and exploring it.

And as Yovan said, they found all kinds of stuff, numerous stuff. It was a rarity for a chamber not to have Treasures of immense value.

There were gold, diamond, weapons, and ancient pieces of art. Even Bege felt like he was losing his mind for the value of these pieces of art was immeasurable.

They were after all remnants of an ancient mythical history, a history almost a thousand years old, so they were naturally precious.

And as Bege continued to explore the Ship, he realized something, the Treasures within were numerous, leftovers of several advanced civilizations... He realized that they might just be as rich as the World Government now, perhaps even richer.

Kalifa, on the other hand, realized something different as she walked about with Yovan, "The One Piece... It's a will to build a peaceful coexisting kingdom, and the resources needed to do so are all here?"

"Maybe," Yovan was uncertain, unsure if someone like Luffy who should've been destined for the One Piece would be up to such a task... Then again someone like him might just throw the responsibility to someone else, his father for example.

Or perhaps he can accidentally create a Kingdom just like Joy Boy? Yovan was really unsure, but if there was something he was sure of, it was that, "From his behavior in the story, the One Piece in his mind should be Sake."

"Sake?" Kalifa contemplated his words carefully, knowing that he wouldn't say something like that for nothing, "Is that why there is at least one bottle of Sake in every room?"

"Yeah," Yovan nodded, "I think the One Piece in his mind should be the Sake and what it represents... Peace. Imagine the grandest celebration to ever occur, encompassing the entire world, all races, all in the same place sharing Sake in what could be considered a Joyful party."

"That does indeed sounds just like him," A light of understanding emerged in Kalifa's eyes, remembering that there were some bottles of Sake even by the Poneglyph's side.

"Will you make it come true? His dream? His will?" Kalifa wondered.

"No," Yovan shook his head, "I have no interest in such a grand party. If possible, I'd like just a small party, nothing too fancy."

"Well," Kalifa let out a cheerful smile as she said, "A party with you? I'm always ready, so don't forget to invite me after you succeed!"

She spoke as if she knew... She does know, she knows that this might just be one of the last times they talk depending on how things go.

"I won't," Yovan smiled as he stopped and glanced at her, eyeing her strangely much to her puzzlement, "You really know how to please me."

He couldn't help but shake his head. Kalifa studied him along with Viola from afar, gaining a better understanding of him than anyone else, so she didn't stop him, she just put her confidence in him.

Before Kalifa could question him, she found her mouth sealed in a slow gentle kiss, quickly growing dizzy, as if drunk by his gentleness.

No, she truly felt dizzy, and hazy, quickly losing her focus. She felt her mind overwhelmed with strange information, and she remained in that state a while longer, even when the kiss ended.

Even while she was being carried by Yovan, she remained absent-minded, but she heard his gentle voice, "You have my blessing, so survive and surprise me. Just know that I still live as long as my blessing is still in effect."

He gently put her on a bed, allowing her to adapt to his blessing, the one that suits her best, achieving a miracle, some incomprehensible to the people of this World.

He had just granted her his blessing, one which possesses a power of his, specifically, just a part of that part, what she can handle for it's so far above her comprehension, Clairvoyance.

It was something akin to granting someone a Devil Fruit, except that this power originated from him.

Just like the World Serpent can grant powers whether intentionally or not, so can the World Crow.

Yovan soon appeared in what he deemed to be the most interesting place on the Ship, the Throne hall.

The Hall was vast but empty, only the elegant throne taking time to accompany it in fighting against loneliness... That and a strange fruit placed right on the Throne.

"Is this his precaution?" Yovan calmly said, eyeing what was certainly a Devil Fruit, one that was left there for hundreds of years, a brown apple-like Devil Fruit with green sprouts.

"You want a World of Joy... It can exist, temporary," Yovan shook his head, very much understanding human heart and their ambitions, such a thing just isn't possible, but it's partially possible.

"It's just that such a Joy can not last a while with such things in the World. Whether it be the World Serpent, Devil Fruits... These are things people would fear and desire, just like Uranus."

The World of One Piece is no heaven, but it's certainly an entertaining journey, just not for the weak, and the majority of people are weak.

This World is dark, very dark, the result of some of the weak acquiring powers beyond human comprehension, thus setting their ambition aflame, burning bright.

Then again, isn't that every World? Even without incomprehensible powers, the strong still prey on the weak, example being his previous World, but this one, it's way darker.

Some might even say that this planet is not suitable for living, not with such things as Sea Kings, the Calm Belts, and the Red Line which make transportation extremely difficult.

"You wanted to do it long ago, huh? Destroying the Red Line, but you failed... Well, I'll do it in your stead," Yovan then stretched his hand toward the Devil fruit, 'For the Strangers.'

He will do it for his people, to create a more peaceful world for them and their descendants. That's the most he could do to repay them for making his life even more exciting.

"However, I don't need you," Yovan murmured as he touched the Devil fruit, releasing golden flames that concentrated into a little sun, enveloping the Devil fruit.

He could've taken the Devil Fruit which must be special if it was left here, but he couldn't, not if he wanted things to go perfectly, and he wouldn't allow it to fall in the hands of someone else.

This Devil fruit was after all the one responsible for the existence of the Red Line, so a second Red Line can not be a possibility... He evaporated from existence, making sure it wouldn't be born again.

And as Yovan said before, he really doesn't need the One Piece. It's irrelevant to him but its preciousness is immeasurable to the Pantheon.

So he allowed the Strangers priority in choosing what they want... The rest will be left to the Pantheon for they will be needed most when they try to bring order to the World.

"Just leave," Yovan said as he appeared in the middle of a bubble, or more like a zone undersea where no water can enter, and before him stands someone he expected, "Your purpose here is hopeless."

"Are you so confident you can stop me in my domain?" Before him stands none other than Im with a saber in her hand.
