Chapter 194 My Grandmother
It took me few minutes to get done with dressing up. I checked myself out and I looked perfect, I walked out of the room heading to the lounge to see the early visitors.
I got to the lounge only to behold Nora and another lady. I wondered who she is,well with time I would find out.
I walked into the lounge unannounced,Nora was so caught up with the lady to notice my presence in the room. The lady was the first to notice me,when she looked up and saw me,she smiled and made to stand up but I gestured for her to remain sitting, that moment Nora looked up and the sadness I saw on her face last time I saw her was not there,she is opposite of what she is looking day before yesterday. What could have happened,is that she has find her mate?.
"Hey goddaughter,how are you"
Nora greeted and smiled,
"Good morning godmother,you looking dashing;what's the secret?"
I asked and she chuckled,
"Nothing dear"
She replied and I felt her shift uncomfortably on her seat,I stared her. I had not even bother sitting down,I went to the Queen's seat and sat down. In every corner of the mansion there are Seats reserved for Chris and I.
"Gina dear this is Sharon"
I looked at the lady and I felt like I had known her before but where?
"Hi Sharon,I am Gina. Nice to meet you"
I said and stick out my hands for a hand shake but she never took it,she only stared at me. I pulled my hand and stared at my palm to see if there is something on it that made her not to shake my hand. There was look of guiltiness written all over her face.
"I am sorry my lady,I can't take your hands for hand shake,I am not worthy of it."
She said. I looked from Nora to her,when did I became this mighty that people find it unworthy to shake hands with me.
"I am sorry Gina but there is something you need to know"
Nora said and I relaxed back in my seat. Nothing should surprise me at this point.
"Okay"
I said, urging her to go ahead.
"Sharon her is my sister and your grand mother"
Nora said. I did not even know when I stood up from my seat. What the heck,my grandmother?. What in the world,how come?.
"Come down baby girl"
Nora said and walked to me. The lady was just sitting uncomfortably on her seat. For the first time, I looked at her closely and I saw that I am the younger version of her. I really did not take in much of her appearance when I appeared in the lounge.
She has the same bluish eyes of mine,her skin of the same as mine and her silver-like hair like mine. I was a lot different from what I was looking about two weeks ago,it's more like I am dropping my appearance and I taking in another one.
"I am calm, Nora but how come?"
I asked,I really want to know.
"I am sorry for not telling you about her. I felt it was not important because she might not get to come back. Sharon here is my elder sis and your father Kurin,she is his mother."
Nora said and made to sit me down but I stopped her with my hand.
"Then if that's the case where have she been or did she just got resurrected?"
I asked not recognizing my own tune of voice,I was beginning to get pissed off. Last time was Xylie,his case was understandable and now is her,my grandma. I wondered who is next. I know I should not get angry until I hear her story to know where she has been all these while.
"Gina dear I am sorry,I did not mean to be absent in your life, circumstances made me do it"
She said and made to come closer but I moved backward. I saw the look of hurt in her eyes and my heart pricked.
Nora was silently begging me to calm down,I huffed at her. She was supposed to tell me this even if there is no chance of the lady coming back to her. Was she planning to keep the story to herself had it been she did not find the Lady.
I shook my head and made to walk of the lounge but Nora held me.
"I am sorry darling for keeping her all to myself,maybe If you get to hear the reason why I never mentioned it, you might not be too mad at us please"
Nora said and I calmed down a little
"Alright let's hear it."
