Boss I'm currently on a leave

This pervert assistant of mine. Did he flirt with anyone in skirt? And here I thought of extending his leave.

He cleared his throat to make his presence noticable and they got startled.

She quickened her pace and turn to leave from there. Mark shouted reminding her.

Mark: Don't forget our appointment, lady.

When she finally left, he looked at him innocently. Is he going to use those puppy eyes on me? I know he is like a family to me, but seriously?

Mark: Lucas, how come you are here? So you finally realised the importance of having a handsome assistant by your side, huh?

He asked while raising his eyebrows. Not only he is a pervert but also a narcissist. Lucas thought.

Lucas: I see, you still have a lot of energy left to make appointments with ladies, right?

Mark: Boss I'm currently on a leave. Remember?

Lucas: And I'm the one who approves it, remember.

He looked horrified with his eyes widened. Lucas was just teasing him but now looking at his reaction he wanted to continue this game.

Mark: Are you going to cancel my leave? How can you do this? I got this bullet because of you.

Lucas: How can I cancel the leave, when my dear friend got injured while saving me?

Lucas burst into laughter when Mark was convincing him so earnestly.

Mark: Lucas....you are playing with me. You are so bad.

He hit him with a pillow which he swiftly ducked. If someone in the company saw them now, they would probably be shocked for a entire day. They both are purely professional in the company, but seeing them now no one can tell if they are the same person.

Lucas: Well jokes apart, I seriously want you to resume your work. I've talked with the doctor before, he said it was not a major surgery. You are the only one I can trust for the project.

Mark: But I can't move my arm.

He said dramatically groaning and covering his left shoulder. This drama queen. How come he became my assistant?

Lucas: For your kind information, you got shot near your right shoulder. You are much familiar with the projects, that's why I want you to continue your work.

Mark: I know the real reason. It's only been a day, since I was absent and you already came. You started to miss me and can't live without me, right?

Lucas: I'm not one of your ladies you can flirt with. Your work will be sent to your email soon.

Mark: Fine then. Why do you came anyway?

Lucas: I came to meet Bella's daughter. She also undergone a surgery today.

Mark: How is she?

Lucas: Her condition is stable now....Oh by the way, once you receive my schedule, clear my slot for 1 to 3 p.m. for tomorrow. I will meet Rachel tomorrow when she is awake.

He said and bid his goodbye. After he left, Mark pinched himself to see if this reality or not.

Mark: Ah...it hurts. Did boss actually want to meet the little girl?What a lucky child. Or is it because of her mother?
