Promise Fulfilled

Tora, Izuku and Uraraka just finished their training match against Bakugo and Iida. The three of them won the match, but unfortunately Izuku's arms were badly injured. His right arm was broken from using One For All and his left arm was badly burnt from taking the full brunt of Bakugo's attack. Tora asked All Might if she could accompany Izuku to the infirmary. He approved because he knew just how important Izuku was to her and vice versa. So, she followed the robots carrying Izuku on a stretcher. Uraraka, Iida and Bakugo joined everyone else in the monitoring room to watch the rest of the class's match ups.

~In the Infirmary~

Tora waited in the office area as Recovery Girl tended to Izuku's injuries.

"He's quite a reckless one isn't he." Recovery Girl said to Tora. She sighed and smiled.

"Yeah, he is. But he's got the heart of a true hero. And when he's determined to reach a goal, he'll do whatever it takes to achieve it. Even if it means sacrificing himself. And that's one of the reasons I love him." Tora said to the elderly school nurse.

"Hmm... I see. But regardless, that selfless recklessness of his could become his downfall. I'd really hate for that to happen... Anyways, he's taking a nap right now. I don't think he's going to wake up for a while. I really appreciate your concern for him but you should head out now. Your next class is going to start soon." Recovery Girl said as she logged onto the computer in her office.

"Right. Thank you so much for taking care of Izuku." Tora said as she waved goodbye to the nurse and was about to leave when All Might arrived in his skinny form. He must have run out of time for his muscle form. As Tora left, Recovery Girl started to scold All Might regarding Izuku.

~Time Skip~

It was late afternoon and the last class of the day had just ended. Tora was talking to a few of her classmates while waiting for Izuku to come back from the infirmary.

"You were awesome out there against Bakugo. I can't believe you didn't even get a scratch on you from the fight." Kirishima complimented Tora.

"Yeah! You were totally amazing!" Ashido Mina said, enthusiastically agreeing with Kirishima. Tora blushed from all the flattery.

"Thanks Kirishima, Ashido." Tora thanked the pink girl and spiky red-haired guy with sharp teeth.

"There's one question I have for you though. When you were a male lion, did you actually swap genders?" Mineta asked Tora.

"No, I can only take on the appearance of male animals of sexually dimorphic species. I can't change genders. Even if I transform into a hermaphrodite animal species, I'll still remain only female." Tora explained as her classmates looked at her with puzzled expressions at all the scientific terminology. She caught on quickly and went on to explain what those terms meant.

"Oh, sexual dimorphism is where there are significant differences between males and females. And hermaphrodites have both male and female reproductive organs." Tora clarified to her classmates. Suddenly the classroom door opened and Izuku walked in. Then the group went over to Izuku and complimented him on his performance during the training exercise and introduced themselves to him like they did to Tora when she came back to the classroom. Just as everyone finished introducing themselves to Izuku, Uraraka and Kaminari entered the classroom carrying textbooks. Izuku asked Uraraka where Bakugo was and she told him he just left. Izuku then ran out of the classroom and caught up to Bakugo who was just about to head out the school gates. He told him that he wasn't pretending to be weak by hiding a quirk. He explained his quirk was given to him by someone recently and that he couldn't control the power yet. Bakugo yelled back saying how he was humiliated during the training exercise and that Izuku wouldn't get another win against him again. Then All Might rushed onto the scene to Bakugo to try and give him some words of wisdom but Bakugo didn't want to hear them. Meanwhile Tora, Uraraka, Tsuyu and Ashido were watching the scene through the window a couple stories above. All of them but Tora wondered what that was all about. Tora on the other hand had a vague idea on what they were talking about.

~Time Skip~

Tora met up with Izuku to head home together. Of course Uraraka and Iida joined them on walking to the station. On the train ride home, Izuku was unusually quiet. Aside from his muttering habit, he wasn't really the talkative type, but this was quiet even for him. When they got off the train, Tora decided to start up a conversation as they started their walk home.

"So what were you talking about with Katsu earlier?" Tora asked her green-haired boyfriend. Izuku tensed for a brief moment then relaxed. He had a feeling she was gonna ask about that sooner or later. But he knew he could trust Tora with his life.

"Oh um, Kacchan thought I was hiding my quirk from him all these years, only pretending to be weak so I could laugh at him behind his back." Izuku said as Tora started to laugh.

"Pfft! Katsu thought what?! Oh wow." Tora said as Izuku chuckled then sighed.

"I told him that I wasn't tricking him and that I got my quirk recently from someone. I didn't tell him who gave it to me though." Izuku finished and Tora gathered herself together.

"I had a feeling that's what you were talking about back there. Well at least you didn't tell him who you got it from. If you did, I'm sure Katsu would get even more jealous and would be quite furious too." Tora said as Izuku gave her a confused look.

"More jealous?" Izuku asked as Tora sighed.

"During the training exercise, Katsu didn't directly attack me. He just used his quirk to evade my attacks and to destroy part of the building to trap me behind the rubble that fell. He knew if he didn't, he'd have to use his quirk against me eventually. He didn't want to hurt me. It think it's because Katsu still hasn't let go of his feelings for me. So yeah, he's probably already jealous of you because I'm your girlfriend. If he found out that you managed to get the attention of the hero he looks up to the most plus got his quirk, he'd be sooo jealous and mad." "Alright, fine." Tora said as she gently pulled him closer and briefly kissed him on the lips. And with that, they continued their walk home. Along the way, Tora and Izuku talked about what happened during their hero training exercise. Tora gave Izuku more details on her fight with Bakugo. And Izuku explained what happened during his confrontation with him.

"I knew those notes would come in handy someday, but wow... you really exceeded my expectations Izuku. Way to go!" Tora complimented Izuku after hearing what happened on his end.

"Thanks Tora. But I still had to use my quirk and broke my arm. I also took the full brunt of Kacchan's attack by blocking it with my left arm. I know Mr. Aizawa told me I'd be useless, but it was the only way I could think of to win." Izuku said.

"Well regardless of that, you're a hero in my book." Tora said as she kissed Izuku on the cheek, making him blush. Silence followed for a moment as Izuku's face got hotter. It was just a simple kiss on the cheek, but Izuku couldn't help but get more and more flustered.

"Hey Tora? Where should we... you know..." Izuku trailed off, not able to bring himself to say it directly.

Tora just nodded in agreement as they entered Izuku's apartment. On the table was a note written in his mother's handwriting. It read:

"Izuku, we didn't use protection!" Tora said as Izuku's facial expression soon matched hers.

"Uh um, there's probably a way of preventing pregnancy after unprotected sex." Izuku said as he frantically logged onto the computer on the desk in his room. He opened the browser and quickly typed in the search bar and clicked the go button. In a split second, tons of results appeared under his question. Tora looked at the search results with him. They both sighed with relief once they found out about the emergency contraceptive pill.

"Thank God! Let's go get it now." Tora said as Izuku nodded in agreement. They left his apartment and walked to the nearest convenience store to buy an emergency contraceptive pill. The store had them in stock, but they were a bit more expensive than they were expecting. Fortunately, Izuku had enough money to buy one. They purchased the pill and walked back to Izuku's apartment and Tora took it as soon as they got inside.

"Hopefully this works." Tora said after taking the small pill with a glass of water.

"The sources we checked all said that emergency contraceptive pills are a safe and effective way to prevent an unwanted pregnancy after unprotected sex." Izuku pointed out.

"You know... I wouldn't mind carrying your child. Just not now though. But I guess that's still an unwanted pregnancy." Tora said, a chuckle following her words.

"Tora..." Izuku said, happy to hear that.

"How are your injuries?" Tora asked him.

"They don't feel any worse." Izuku answered her.

"Well that's good at least." Tora said. Just then, Izuku's mother entered the apartment with her arms full of grocery bags.

"Izuku, I'm home! Oh hello Tora-chan! It's good to see you. How've you been?" She said, greeting her son and his girlfriend while putting the grocery bags on the kitchen counter.

"I've been good, thank you. How about you Inko-san?" Tora said back.

"Oh I've been doing fine. Hey Izuku? Do you mind grabbing the rest of the groceries? I need to start making dinner right away. I'm a bit late on it after all." Izuku's mother said as Izuku nodded his head and left to go get the remaining groceries like his mother asked. As Izuku's mom began putting the groceries she brought in away, she noticed the open emergency contraceptive package on the counter. Izuku walked in with an armful of groceries just as his mother picked up the torn open pill box. He and Tora froze as an awkward silence filled the kitchen.

"Mom, I can explain!" Izuku said in a panic.

"There isn't really much to explain here, is there Izuku?" His mom said as she held up the box and Izuku sighed. They had been busted... again.

"No. The truth is Tora and I are dating. And... we kinda got carried away." Izuku said lowering his head.

"I kind of had the feeling you two were dating now. But I didn't think you'd have gone this far already." Izuku's mother said. Tora and Izuku weren't really surprised that she knew they were dating. After all, Tora's parents figured it out on their own. Not to mention her parents were really good friends with Izuku's mom so they might have told her about it. His mother just sighed.

"Well as long as you don't regret your choices. Just be careful, okay?" His mother said as she resumed putting the rest of the groceries away.

"Yes Mom." Izuku said as he sighed with relief.

"Yes Inko-san." Tora said along with Izuku. The two of them went to Izuku's room to go study until dinner was ready. His mother always allowed Tora to join them for dinner when she was over. Once they were in his room, they got out their homework and started working on it together. While they were studying, Tora brought something up.

"You know, I was surprised with your mom's reaction to finding us out. She wasn't quite as cool with it as my parents were, but she was still pretty accepting of it." Tora said as Izuku nodded his head.

"Yeah me too. I thought she was going to scold me." Izuku said, agreeing with Tora. The two of them went back to studying until Izuku's mother called them for dinner. The three of them ate together and had pleasant conversations. Tora and Izuku helped his mother with the dishes then went back to Izuku's room to finish up their homework. Once they were done with all their assignments, they talked for a while then decided to watch a movie on Izuku's computer from his bed. They ended up falling asleep together right at the movie credits. Izuku's mother opened the door to have Tora talk to her mother on the phone who had called because she wasn't answering her phone. When she saw the two of them peacefully sleeping together, she shut off the light and closed the door quietly.

"Actually, Tora-chan is fast asleep right now. They both looked so peaceful sleeping next to each other, I couldn't bring myself to wake them... Hmm? Oh, it's perfectly fine if she spends the night here! Don't worry about it... Okay, take care Akira. Good night." Izuku's mother said to Tora's mother then hung up. After that, she went to her room to get ready to go to bed as well.
