One For Her [Midoriya Izuku X OC]

Hinode Tora had been Midoriya Izuku's next door neighbor and best friend since early childhood. Both shared a passion for all things heroic. They were like two peas in a pod and did almost everything together, including getting bullied by Bakugo Katsuki and the other neighborhood kids that already had their quirks. Tora was a late bloomer, her quirk manifesting during her third year of middle school triggered by Katsuki picking on Izuku again which made her snap, activating her quirk: Animalistic Shift. Izuku, on the other hand, didn't develop a quirk on his own. He acquired his quirk One For All from All Might just in time for the entrance exam for U.A. High, Tora's and Izuku's dream high school. The two of them get long extremely well and have shared so many memories together, it's no surprise they've developed feelings for each other. Where will life take them next as they both work towards their shared goal of becoming pro heroes?

Hero Costume Reveal

The morning sun's rays peeked through Tora's bedroom window, waking Tora up. Izuku was still asleep, softly snoring next to her. She smiled at his adorable sleeping face. As she stared at Izuku's sleeping form he began to stir, opening one eye to see Tora smiling at him.

"Morning sleepy head." Tora said to Izuku, kissing him on the forehead. He yawned and stretched, then sat up in her bed.

"Good morning Tora. Did you sleep well." Izuku greeted her as well.

"Yes of course I did. I always sleep well next to you." She said, lightly and playfully pushing Izuku's shoulder with one hand.

"Haha, I'm glad." Izuku chuckled as Tora got out of bed and walked over to her wardrobe and got out her U.A. uniform. Then she went to her dresser to get a clean pair of panties.

"We should get ready for school now" Tora said as Izuku nodded his head in agreement and rummaged through his overnight bag, pulling out his U.A. uniform and a pair of clean boxers. The two of them faced away from each other to give one another privacy as they got dressed. Izuku blushed knowing that Tora was getting dressed behind him. He was very tempted to look, but didn't because he wanted to respect Tora's privacy. After they got dressed, they went to the kitchen where Tora's mother was making breakfast for them. They ate, then went next door to Izuku's apartment to drop off his overnight bag and grab his backpack for school before heading off to the station to catch the train to U.A. High. During the train ride, they talked about what the school day had in store for them.

"I wonder what we're going to do today aside from our core courses. I hope it involves wearing our hero costumes. I can't wait to see how mine turned out!" Tora said excitedly. Izuku was very curious as to what Tora's hero costume would be like. With how complicated her quirk was, it would be pretty hard to create a costume that would accommodate all her abilities.

"I'm excited for today's hero training too." Izuku said with just as much enthusiasm as Tora with a glint of anticipation in his eyes.

"Oh yeah, didn't my mom ask you if you needed any help developing your hero costume?" Tora asked Izuku. Her mother worked in the design department of a hero costume company exclusively hired by U.A. High. In fact, she was the corporate manager of the design department of the company.

"Yeah she did, but I declined her offer. You see, my mom made a hero costume for me. She did it to show that she supports me and my dream to become a pro hero. And... to make up for what she said to me that one time when I was four." Izuku said, remembering the moment from his childhood. Tora knew exactly what he was talking about. The night following the day Izuku found out he wasn't going to develop a quirk, he asked his mother if she thought he could still become a hero like All Might. She hugged him while crying and apologized, saying she wished things were different for him. Izuku went to Tora the next morning and told her all about it. She comforted him and gave him the encouraging words that he would never forget:

'Even when everyone else doesn't believe in you, even when you don't believe in yourself, I will always believe in you.'

A moment of silence ensued. Tora smiled cheerfully at Izuku.

"Aww that was really sweet of Inko-san. So, you're gonna wear her homemade costume then. That's cool. I can't wait to see it!" Tora said as she clapped Izuku on the back.

"Speaking of costumes, what's your hero costume look like?" Izuku asked Tora. Another moment of silence followed.

"It's a secret!" She beamed as Izuku sighed with disappointment.

"Well, I guess I could tell you two features of it. It's skin tight and can become transparent." Tora said, winking at Izuku who looked away and blushed profusely upon hearing the words skin tight and transparent. He glanced back at Tora who gave him a smirk.

'She totally did that on purpose.' Izuku thought to himself. They were both quiet for the rest of the train ride. When they got to school, they attended their morning core classes. Then they went to the cafeteria for lunch. Tora and Izuku were joined by Uraraka and Iida.

"Hey Hinode, Deku! Mind if we sit with you guys?" Uraraka asked with Iida by her side.

"Sure! Go ahead." Hinode said as Uraraka and Iida sat across from her and Izuku with their lunches.

"So Hinode, I understand that you and Midoriya are next door neighbors, right?" Iida said, continuing from where they left off in the conversation from yesterday.

"Yeah. My parents and I moved in next door to Izuku and his mother shortly after I turned three. Izuku was still two years old at the time. My birthday is in March and Izuku's is in July." Tora said after finishing a bite of white rice.

"Wow you've known each other for so long! That's really cute! I'm jealous. I wish I was still in touch with my childhood friends like you two are." Uraraka said cheerfully.

"Yeah, we basically know everything about each other. We can practically predict what the other is thinking or what they're going to do or say. Right, Izuku?" Tora said excitedly.

"Yeah. Tora and I are just about telepathic." Izuku said, nodding his head as he took another bite of his food.

"Seems like you two would make a cute couple." Iida said as he brought his chopsticks up to his mouth.

"Well actually... Tora and I are dating." Izuku said as Tora noticed Uraraka's facial expression change. She saw a hint of sadness and disappointment. But Uraraka quickly smiled to hide her dismay.

"Oh really? That's adorable!" Uraraka said in a cheerful tone. Izuku didn't seem to notice Uraraka's change in facial expression upon finding out that he was taken. Tora on the other hand did notice. She felt bad for Uraraka. If she were in her shoes, she'd be disappointed too, maybe even devastatingly heartbroken. Just then, the bell rang to end lunch hour. The four of them cleared their lunch trays and headed to class together. After they were seated, All Might burst into the room wearing his silver age hero costume which brought a wave of nostalgia over the students. All Might explained that today's lesson was gonna be combat training and told everyone to suit up in their hero costumes and meet him at Training Ground Beta. Tora beamed with excitement. The class grabbed their costumes and split up. Izuku and the boys went to the boy's locker room to change. Tora and the other girls went to the girl's locker room. She was approached by Uraraka as she just finished changing.

"Wow, you look great! I love your costume!" Uraraka approached Tora in her hero costume, complimenting her. Tora's costume consisted of a skin tight body suit and white boots. Her suit had yellow and magenta animal pattern print and white markings that underlined her breasts and accentuated her hips.

"Thanks. I like yours too." Tora complimented her back. She was wearing a black and light pink skin tight body suit and a visor.

"I was wondering what kind of costume would work for you since your quirk is so complicated." Uraraka said as she stared at Tora in her hero costume.

"It's made of a special material that can conform to every hair on my body and can become transparent. It can also shrink or grow depending on what form I take. Needless to say it's super skin tight. I'm not exactly used to this. I used to be self conscious of my body and am still getting accustomed to wearing tighter clothing. I used to wear more baggy and loose fitting clothes, usually one size too big. So this will take some getting used to." Tora explained to Uraraka.

"Yeah I totally feel ya." Uraraka said, agreeing with Tora. The two of them and the other girls joined the rest of the class and entered Training Ground Beta all dressed up in their costumes. Uraraka and Tora found Izuku and approached him.

"Hey Deku! I like your costume! Not too flashy, you know." She said to him.

"Nice costume Izuku. It's cute!" Tora said as Izuku got a flustered, covering half his face to hide his blush but to no avail. Tora could still tell he was blushing hardcore.

'Oh wow...' Izuku thought to himself as he stared at Tora. He approached Tora, still blushing.

"Tora... your costume..." Izuku trailed off.

"Nothing like what I usually wear, huh? Yeah, I know. It's not exactly my style." Tora said as she blushed.

"No, it looks amazing on you! I think it suits you really well. No pun intended." Izuku complimented Tora as her blush became more apparent.

"Really, you think so?" Tora asked Izuku, getting more and more flustered. Izuku gently took her hands in his and looked her in the eyes.

"Yeah I do. I mean, I'm not saying you don't look good in other clothing styles or anything. You always look great whatever you wear. But I really like this tighter clothing style. I don't mean that I like it better than your normal style. Because I love you for you, not the style of clothing you wear. I'll love you no matter what you decide to wear, and well... you know." Izuku went on one of his mumbling rants. Tora started to laugh.

"Of course I know you don't mean to offend me, silly." Tora chuckled as she lightly squeezed Izuku's hands. Uraraka was watching the whole interaction, staring at the two of them.

'OMG! They're so cute together! It's like they're perfect for each other. But why do I feel sad? It's not like I have feelings for Deku or anything. I mean, I haven't known him for very long unlike Hinode.' Uraraka thought to herself while staring at Tora and Izuku. All Might began to speak, getting everyone's attention. He explained that everybody would be put into teams and two teams would go at a time, one team playing the villains and the other team playing the heroes. The heroes had to either recover the nuclear missile or capture the villains in order to win. The villains would win if they protected the weapon until time ran out or if they captured the heroes. The teams would be chosen by drawing lots. There was an odd number of students in the class, so one team would have three students instead of two. There were 21 students in class 1-A. There were supposed to be 22 students but the student that tied for first place with Tora in the recommendations entrance exam declined his acceptance into U.A. High and decided to go to Shiketsu High instead. The teams were announced and Tora, Izuku and Uraraka were Team A.

"Wow what are the chances? We're a team!" Uraraka said excitedly, beaming at Izuku and Tora. Now that all the teams were formed, it was now time to see which teams would go against each other as the heroes and villains. Tora, Izuku, and Uraraka were chosen to be the heroes against Bakugo and Iida, the villains. Izuku looked nervous since they were going to face Bakugo. Uraraka seemed to notice his nervousness and he explained that it's because they were up against Bakugo... and Iida. She remembered that Izuku told her Bakugo used to make fun of him. Izuku gave her a little more background information on his thoughts of Bakugo. Uraraka seemed more pumped, calling it a fated battle between rivals. Izuku started to feel guilty that he was wrapping her up in his battle but she didn't seem to mind.

"Are you kidding? We're a team! Let's win this thing!" Uraraka said excitedly, throwing her fist in the air. Tora just smiled at the two of them. She was glad Izuku had a friend like Uraraka around.

"Yeah, we're all in this together Izuku. Besides, I've got some things to settle with Katsu as well." Tora said with a determined smile on her face. She put down the building floor plan All Might gave each of them a copy of. It was time.
