Facing Evil

It was early morning when Izuku's alarm went off. Izuku immediately turned it off before it could wake Tora up. He stared at Tora's sleeping form and smiled. He sat up and reached over, gently brushing a strand of hair out of Tora's face and kissed her forehead. She stirred and smiled contently in her sleep.

"Tora is so adorable when she sleeps." Izuku said quietly as not to wake Tora up. But his effort was in vain. Her eyes fluttered open to see Izuku leaning over her.

"Good morning Izuku." Tora said as Izuku leaned down and met her lips with his. As they kissed, she reached up and ran her fingers through his fluffy dark verdant locks. Izuku pulled away before he was swept away in the mood. Tora whimpered softly when his soft lips parted from hers.

"Come on, we should get going." Izuku said as Tora nodded in agreement. They headed directly to the kitchen where Izuku's mother was cooking breakfast for them. They ate their food and thanked Izuku's mom for making it then temporarily parted ways. Since Tora ended up falling asleep at Izuku's place by accident, she had to go home to finish getting ready for school. After Tora left, Izuku finished getting ready for school and Tora did the same at home. They both exited their apartments at the same time and began walking to the train station together. They conversed with each other on the way to U.A. High until they got off at their stop where they were joined by Iida and Uraraka. The four of them then walked to their first morning core class, talking and laughing together.

~Time Skip~

Homeroom was in session and Mr. Aizawa gave the students the task of choosing their class president. The class became lively with a bunch of their classmates each saying they wanted to be class president. Iida then got the class's attention and suggested they choose their class president by voting. To Izuku's surprise, he was chosen as the class president.

~Another Time Skip~

Tora, Izuku, Iida and Uraraka were eating lunch together when suddenly there was an announcement saying there was a security breach. Everyone started to panic and flood out of the cafeteria and crowd into the halls. Iida then noticed the media outside and assumed that's what triggered the alarm and that there was no reason to panic. With the help of Uraraka's quirk, he reached the top of the exit and got everyone's attention and explained the situation which quickly calmed everyone down.

~Yet Another Time Skip~

They were back in the classroom and Izuku made an announcement that he was going to step down as class president and nominated Iida for the position. The class was very accepting of the change. After that was settled, Class 1-A got suited up in their hero costumes then boarded a bus to a site away from the main campus called the U.S.J. for their basic hero training course. When they arrived, they were met by the Space Hero: Thirteen, a rescue specialist. She explained what they were going to be doing until a dark portal opened and a bunch of sinister looking people entered the U.S.J. through the portal. Mr. Aizawa told the students that these people were not part of the training exercise and were real villains. He told Thirteen to protect the students as he went ahead into combat. Thirteen and Class 1-A attempt to evacuate, but the villain with the warp quirk stopped them and introduced himself and his friends as the League of Villains and told them their goal was to kill All Might. He seemed to express disappointment that All Might wasn't there. Bakugo and Kirishima attempted to attack the villain but failed to deal any damage to him. The villain then used his quirk and surrounded most the students and warped them to different zones in the U.S.J. facility. Tora got teleported to an area between the fire zone and the shipwreck zone. She was alone and was quickly surrounded by several villains. Tora immediately transformed into a full body Siberian tiger, the largest tiger species. She began taking down villains left and right until there was only one villain left.

"So you can turn into a tiger too, huh? Let's see who is stronger then." A villain said as he turned into a Bengal tiger, the second largest tiger species. He lunged at Tora who dodged his first attack. She kept evading his attacks, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

"What's the matter? Scared? What happened to your fierce display from earlier?" The villain asked mockingly. Tora ignored his taunting and dodged another swipe of his paw.

"You know, I really admire you. You have the quirk I wanted when I was a kid. It's a really cool quirk." Tora said as the villain was taken by surprise by her compliment and paused for a moment, seeming honored that he was praised.

"You really do?" The villain asked Tora.

"Yeah." Tora said cheerfully as the villain blushed. But then a suspicious look appeared on his face in place of the blush.

"Wait a second, you're just trying to flatter me so I'll lower my guard." The villain said as he stood in a defensive stance.

"No, I'm serious. I really did want your quirk when I was little, honest." Tora began to say as the villain started to get that honored look on his face again.

"But the quirk I did end up getting I think I like better." Tora said as she transformed into a full body white rhino and charged at the tiger villain. He turned around to run away. But as he was in mid-turn, she bashed into him hard and sent him flying into the side of the fire zone building. This knocked the wind out of him and gave him a concussion.He was dazed and gasping for air. When he regained his breath, he realized his ribs were broken, his head was bleeding and his back legs appeared to be limp. The impact probably broke his spine partially paralyzing him. Tora turned into a full body black mamba and cautiously approached the injured villain.

"That quirk... that's the quirk I wanted as a kid, but I can only turn into a plain old tiger! My father had a tiger man quirk and my mother could transform into anything living thing she wanted as it wasn't fictional. I was hoping to get my mother's quirk so I could turn into animals. But I got the transformation portion from my mother with the stupid tiger limitation from my good-for-nothing father who left us for a leopard woman!" The villain said, revealing his part of his origin as Tora froze for a second. Her mother told her about her older sister (Tora's aunt) that had supposedly died during an earthquake when they were young. Her body had never been found and she was presumed to be deceased. Tora's mother said that her aunt inherited a powerful transformation quirk that allowed her to transform into any real living thing. Tora came back to her senses and got up really close to the villain in her full body black mamba form.

"Don't try anything funny now. If you so much as move, I will bite and you will die quickly from the venom. Now, tell me your mother's name." Tora said to the villain.

"Suzuki Akari. Wh-why do you want to know? Please don't kill me!" The villain pleaded. Tora couldn't believe it. Suzuki was her mother's maiden name and Akari was the name of her sister that had presumably died in the earthquake when they were little.

"You... you're my cousin. Suzuki Akari was the name of my mother's older sister who was said to have died during an earthquake because she was never found. My mother's name is Hinode Akira, but her full maiden name was Suzuki Akira." Tora revealed as the villain's eyes widened in disbelief. Then tears began to flow from his eyes like a river.

"My father was the only source of income in our family. When he left us, we became homeless and had to steal in order to survive. I was just a little kid when he abandoned his family. My mother despised heroes because they didn't understand us. They only cared about catching and locking us thieves up, never bothering to ask why we were stealing! She got caught when I was a teenager. She told me to run and leave her behind as she was overwhelmed by heroes and police. She ended up committing suicide in prison. Despite all that happened, I never truly hated heroes. In fact, I secretly wanted to be one. But she made me promise her a long time ago that I would never become a hero. So I kept living a life of crime. It's the only life I know." The villain told Tora his story as the tears continued to flow from his eyes. Tora sighed and turned back into her human form then looked the tiger villain in the eyes.

"You know, even after all that's happened, it's not too late to start a new life." Tora said with a soothing tone. The tiger villain's tears stopped flowing as he looked up at his younger cousin.

"What is your name?" Tora asked him.

"Suzuki Haruto." He replied to her.

"Okay Haruto, what's gonna happen is that you are to remain here until authorities arrive. If you are serious about starting a new life as a law abiding citizen, you will have to face the consequences first. Surrendering quietly is the first step to turning over a new leaf. Do you understand?" Tora told the villain who nodded his head.

"And... I'll even be willing to visit you while you're serving your time." Tora said as the villain as he got teary eyed again, but this time out of gratitude.

"Okay... I will. Thank you... uh..."

"Tora, Hinode Tora." Tora said with a smile as the tiger villain smiled back.

"I have to go find my friends now. I'll see you later Haruto." Tora said as she took off in search for her classmates. Then she spotted Izuku, Tsu, and Mineta in the distance walking in the shallow waters of the shipwreck zone. Izuku's left thumb and middle finger were broken and Mineta's head was bleeding so she figured they had run into villains but dealt with them successfully. Tora jumped into the water and turned into a fish then quickly swam up to them and joined them, turning back into her human form.

"Hey Izuku! Tsu! Mineta. Are you guys alright?" Tora asked her boyfriend and two classmates.

"Yeah we're fine. What about you, Tora? You're not hurt are you?" Izuku said with a hint of worry.

"No, not at all. I was warped between the fire zone and shipwreck zone alone, but I managed. Something unexpected happened though. I'll explain later." Tora said. Then the four of them heard Mr. Aizawa yell out in pain as his elbow was being destroyed by the guy with hands all over him. He managed to get free of his grasp, but his injured elbow was clearly affecting his fighting ability. Then the large muscular brain bird-like creature that the hand man, named Shigaraki Tomura, referred to as Nomu grabbed Mr. Aizawa's head and started bashing him into the ground while grabbing his arm and snapping his bones like they were twigs. Izuku, Tora, Tsu and Mineta watched in horror, frozen with fear as their teacher was getting beat up by the Nomu. Suddenly, the warping villain appeared next to Shigaraki, saying that one of the students escaped and they should retreat. The Shigaraki was visibly frustrated but reluctantly agreed with him. Mineta was relieved and hugged Tsu, grabbing onto her chest. She pushed him underwater, mentioning to Izuku and Tora that she had a bad feeling looming over her.

"It seems weird that they'd retreat at this point even if help is on the way." Izuku said, analyzing the situation with a worried look on his face. And Tora knew exactly what he was thinking.

"Oh, before we leave, let's make sure the Symbol of Peace is broken. Let's wreck his pride! Let's make this hurt!" Shigaraki said as he suddenly turned around and lunged towards Tsu with his hand outstretched. But as he reached her, his quirk was canceled by Mr. Aizawa who was using the last of his strength to save her.

"You really are so cool... Eraser Head." Shigaraki said as the Nomu smashed Mr. Aizawa's face into the ground again. Izuku instinctively jumped into action.

"You! Let her go! Now!" Izuku yelled as he activated One For All, about to throw a punch at Shigaraki. Fortunately, when he landed the punch, his arm didn't break. But the Nomu had somehow moved in front of Izuku and his punch didn't seem to do any damage to it.

"You're pretty powerful. That smash of yours, are you one of All Might's disciples? Doesn't matter, I'm done with you now." Shigaraki said as the Nomu grabbed Izuku about to crush him. Tsu reached for Izuku with her tongue and Shigaraki reached for Tsu and Mineta. Tora turned into a Siberian tiger again, about to lunge at Shigaraki. Right as things were looking dire, the doors of the U.S.J. busted open with All Might walking through. And he was not smiling this time.

"Have no fear students. Because I am here!" All Might said with a fierce facial expression.

"Ah, looks like our game is getting a continue." Shigaraki said as All Might approached and took out the remaining villains, swooped up Mr. Aizawa, Izuku, Tora, Tsu and Mineta and whisked them all to safety. He told the students to head back to the entrance and take Mr. Aizawa with them. Izuku warned All Might about the bird brain villain Nomu, but he just told Izuku that he had this fight in the bag. Both Tora and Izuku reluctantly left with Mr. Aizawa slumped over Izuku's shoulders while Mineta carried his legs. Tora and Izuku were the only ones that knew the truth of the situation, so they were worried about All Might who was locked in combat with the Nomu. When the smoke cleared, All Might was revealed to be in big trouble. The Nomu had gotten his weak spot and was dragging All Might down through the warp gate. And the warp villain Kurogiri was about to close the portal around him.

"Asui, Tora... will you carry Mr. Aizawa for me?" Izuku asked the two girls.

"Ribbit sure. But what are you gonna do?" Tsu said as Izuku handed Mr. Aizawa to her. Tora turned into a horse. Izuku then started to take off to where All Might was being held captive in quite the predicament.

"Are you crazy?!" Mineta said as he helped Tsu get Mr. Aizawa onto Tora's back. Izuku rushed over to All Might to help him. Just as Izuku was about to reach All Might, Kurogiri intercepted him, about to warp him away. Suddenly, Bakugo grabbed Kurogiri's neck armor, yelling at Izuku to get out of his way. Then Todoroki appeared and froze the Nomu in place, allowing for All Might to break free of its grasp. Then Kirishima joined the fray, attempting to strike Shigaraki who dodged his attack. Things seemed to be going in their favor until the Nomu emerged from the warp gate in the ground and regrew his limbs that had broken off from being frozen for too long. It was then that everyone realized the trouble they were really in. Suddenly the Nomu lunged at Bakugo who was holding Kurogiri captive. In a flash, All Might moved Bakugo out of the way and took the full brunt of the Nomu's punch. Then Shigaraki went on a rant about the way certain acts of violence are decided as heroic and some villainous pissed him off.

"You think you're the Symbol of Peace? Ha! You're just another government sponsored instrument of violence! And violence always breeds more violence. I'll make sure the world understands that once you're dead." Shigaraki ended his rant, aiming it at All Might.

"You're nothing but a lunatic. Criminals like you always try to make your actions sound noble. But admit it, you're only doing this because you like it. Isn't that right?" All Might said with an angry look on his face. Shigaraki's facial expression changed, realizing All Might had him figured out. Izuku and his classmates were determined to help All Might in fighting the villains, but he told them to stand back and watch him take them down himself. Then he engaged in combat with the Nomu, created a strong wind that pushed everyone back. He started turning the tables against the Nomu, beating it to hell with targeted punches each more than 100% of his power.

"Now for a lesson. You may have heard these words before, but I'll teach you what they really mean. Go beyond, PLUS ULTRAAA!" All Might yelled as he punched the Nomu right out of the U.S.J., leaving a giant hole in the ceiling.

"You've been bested villains. Surrender, we all want to get this over with quickly." All Might said to Shigaraki and Kurogiri. Then he dared them to attack, bluffing to hide that he was out of time. But the villains weren't retreating and decided to attack anyways. Izuku leaped into action using One For All trying to protect All Might, breaking his legs in the process. But then Shigaraki reached through Kurogiri's war gate to get to Izuku. Just as he was about to disintegrate Izuku, U.A. teachers arrived on the scene and took control of the situation. Unfortunately, the main villains escaped, but the ordeal was finally over.

~Time Skip~

It was dark out and Tora, Uraraka and Iida stayed behind waiting for Izuku to be released from the Nurse's Office. He ran over and joined his girlfriend and two friends and the four of them walked to the train station together. They spent the walk to the station telling each other what happened on their end of the event. Tora didn't tell the group that one of the villains was her cousin. She just told them the gist of her fight with the villains. Once they arrived, Uraraka, Iida, Tora and Izuku said their goodbyes and got on their trains to go home. During the train ride home, Tora and Izuku were pretty quiet. Izuku remembered what Tora said earlier about something unexpected that happened to her during her encounter with the villains, but her side of the story didn't seem out of the ordinary. He was curious as to what that unexpected event was. The train reached their stop and the two of them got off and began to walk home together.

"So what was the unexpected thing that happened today that you mentioned earlier?" Izuku asked Tora as she paused for a moment.

"One of those villains... was my cousin." Tora said quietly as Izuku's eyes widened.

"No way... really?" Izuku said as Tora went on to explain everything. She told him about her aunt that was thought to be killed by an earthquake long ago had actually survived and was the villain's mother. She told Izuku the villain's life story that he told her.

"Wow... so what happened to him?" Izuku asked Tora.

"I told him it wasn't too late to turn his life around and that surrendering was the first step in doing so. I said I'd visit him in prison sometime too. I think he's decided to have a change of heart. To be honest, I'm glad I encountered him and was able to get through to him." Tora said as Izuku nodded in agreement.

"You really are amazing Tora." Izuku sighed as Tora gave him a confused look.

"You defeated all those villains on your own without getting hurt. You even managed to transform one into a law abiding citizen." Izuku went on to explain to Tora who smiled in return.

"Yeah I guess those are quite some feats for a hero-in-training." Tora said as she blushed slightly out of flattery. Izuku found it adorable whenever Tora blushed. As they reached their apartments, Izuku stopped and brushed a strand out of Tora's face and tucked it behind her ear.

"I'm just so glad you're okay after all that happened today. I don't know what I'd do without you." Izuku said as Tora smiled and reached up, cupping his face in her hands.

"Me too Izuku. I love you so much." Tora said as she pulled Izuku into a hug. He returned the embrace, cherishing the moment.

"I love you too, Tora." Izuku said as they both pulled away from the embrace and gave each other a peck on the lips. They both smiled at each other then said goodbye and went into their own apartments for the night.
