Day Off

Tora and Izuku had just said goodbye to each other for the night. The next day school was closed so both Tora and Izuku had the day off. It was about 9:30 in the morning when Tora got a text from Izuku. Normally she would be up, but this time she decided to sleep in since there was no school today.

Izuku: Hey, you up?

Tora: Yeah, I am now.

Izuku: Oh sorry, did I wake you?

Tora: Yeah. But don't worry about it, okay? It's fine if it's you. You can wake me up any time you want. ;)

Izuku: Oh, okay haha.

Tora: So what did you want anyways?

Izuku: I wanted to know if you want to go out on a run with me.

Tora: Sure! Just let me get ready first.

Izuku: Okay, see you in a bit!

Tora got out of bed and took a quick shower since she didn't take one last night. Then she went to her dresser and got out her favorite blue sports bra top and black sweat pants. She figured that would be appropriate since they were going out on a run together. She put on deodorant then went to the bathroom to fix her hair into a ponytail. After that, she made herself a quick breakfast and went directly to Izuku's apartment next door after eating. Right as she was about to knock on the door, Izuku opened it. He was wearing a red tank top and gray shorts. He blushed when he saw Tora's outfit.

"Wow, you look great." Izuku said as he eyed her up and down.

"It's just my typical work out clothes. I don't see what's so special about them." Tora said shyly with a big blush on her face.

"It's you that makes them special. You make everything special." Izuku said, reaching up and lovingly caressing Tora's cheek.

"That's so cheesy Izuku!" Tora said with a laugh. Izuku chuckled too at how cheesy that line was.

"Shall we get going?" Izuku asked as Tora nodded her head and the two of them left their apartment building and started their run together. They ran through the neighborhood to Dagoba Municipal Beach Park where Izuku trained for ten months so he could receive All Might's quirk. There, they ran some more for a couple hours. At the end of their run, they stared at the shoreline as they rested.

"Being here sure brings back memories doesn't it? Remember how scrawny you used to be before your training? You could barely carry me." Tora said to Izuku who was leaning over the railing, looking at the sunrise.

"Yeah... I've come a long way. Now I'm finally strong enough to do this with ease." Izuku said as he grabbed Tora bridal style and twirled around, making her laugh.

"You literally swept me off my feet!" Tora said as she lovingly pressed her forehead against Izuku's, giving him a kiss on the cheek. Izuku put Tora down and they both stared at the sunrise together.

"It's beautiful don't you think?" Tora asked Izuku who nodded his head in agreement.

"Yes, it is. But it's not as beautiful as you." Izuku said as turned Tora's face towards his and gave her a small kiss on the lips.

"What's up with all the cheesy pickup lines today?" Tora said with a small laugh.

"I don't know. I just feel like complimenting you in a cheesy way I guess." Izuku said as Tora laughed some more.

"Anyways, that aside, what are you planning to do today? We've got the entire day off of school." Izuku asked Tora who paused to think for a moment. Then an idea came to mind.

"I know! How about we go on a date. Unless you have other things to do today." Tora suggested as Izuku blushed. Despite the fact that they had been dating for a little while now, they hadn't really been on any actual dates. Just study sessions after school.

"No I don't have anything planned for today. That's why I was asking. But that sounds great! What should we do for our date?" Izuku said as Tora thought for a moment again, trying to come up with something fun to do.

"What about going to the amusement park? Does that sound fun to you?" Tora asked Izuku who immediately agreed.

"Sure, that sounds perfect! There's one nearby. Let's go now." Izuku said as Tora giggled at his excitement for the date.

"Wow Izuku. You're really excited for this date, huh? You're even willing to skip going home to take a shower and change." Tora said with a chuckle as Izuku blushed.

"Well it's technically our first date so of course I'd be excited for it. We can go home to take a shower and change if you want." Izuku said as Tora shook her head.

"Nah, we can go right now. I already took a shower this morning. And besides, I'm already all cooled off." Tora said as she took off the band holding her hair in a ponytail, letting it fall down gracefully as she shook her head. Izuku blushed as he stared at her, the scene seeming to play in slow motion.

'Wow Tora's beautiful with her hair down. I mean she's cute with her hair up in a ponytail, but man when she let her hair down like that...' Izuku thought to himself. It was like he was in a trance. He didn't even notice Tora trying to get his attention right away.

"Hey Izuku? Hello? Izuku?" Tora said as she snapped her fingers in front of his face, breaking him from his daze.

"Huh? Oh, yeah Tora?" Izuku said shaking his head and blinking a few times.

"Shall we get going?" Tora said as she held out her hand to him.

"Y-yeah. Let's go." Izuku said as he took Tora's hand and the two of them walked to the local amusement park together. On the way there, Tora held onto Izuku's arm and leaned against him which made him blush. She was so close, he could smell her shampoo from her shower earlier this morning. Izuku's nose was practically drawn to her head as he sniffed her hair which Tora noticed.

"I don't stink at all do I? After all, we just finished a run together." Tora said as Izuku shook his head.

"Not at all. You still smell like you're fresh out of the shower." Izuku said as Tora sighed in relief.

"What about me? Do I smell funny at all?" Izuku asked Tora as she shook her head no.

"Nah, you smell good. I wouldn't be leaning into you like this if you smelled bad. I love your scent." Tora said as Izuku sighed in relief as well.

"Oh good. I took a shower this morning too since I didn't do it last night. Seems like I didn't break enough of a sweat to reverse its affect." Izuku said as he sheepishly scratched the back of his head with his free arm. Silence followed for a moment. There was something about what Tora just said that Izuku wanted to ask her about, but wasn't quite sure what she'd think of him if he asked. But eventually he sucked it up and asked anyways.

"Hey Tora?" Izuku said to get his girlfriend's attention.

"Yeah?" Tora said, looking up at her boyfriend.

"When you said you love my scent, were you talking about the smell of the soap and shampoo I use?" Izuku asked Tora who shifted her gaze ahead.

"Well yeah kinda, that and your natural scent. I don't really know how to explain it, but people also have their own scents in addition to what soaps, shampoos, perfumes or cologne they may use." Tora explained as best she could. Fortunately Izuku understood what she meant. Come to think of it, he always liked how Tora smelled. It made him feel calmer. It was a bit difficult to relax after what happened at the U.S.J. yesterday, so this was a good thing that Tora was this close to him. Plus, Izuku had a lot on his mind when it came to how far he had to go to take All Might's place as the World's Symbol of Peace in the amount of time he had left. So it was good that they'd be spending the day together as a couple having fun. Today's date was a good way to take his mind off it. But that's not the only reason for this date. Izuku genuinely wanted to spend some quality time with Tora. They arrived at the amusement park shortly after. Izuku paid the entrance fee for the two of them and they entered through the gates. There were various carnival rides, three different sized roller coasters, a merry-go-round, a Ferris wheel, and many carnival games and food stands.

"This place looks like fun!" Tora said as Izuku nodded in agreement.

"What should we do first?" Izuku asked Tora who immediately pointed at the biggest roller coaster in the park.

"How about we ride that roller coaster over there?" Tora said excitedly.

"Uh y-yeah sure." Izuku said as he nodded, trying to hide his nervousness. He didn't exactly like roller coasters, but he didn't want to say no just because he was afraid of them. He wanted Tora to have fun while they were here.

"You know, we don't have to if you don't want to." Tora said, noticing how nervous he was.

"No, no. We can go. It would be selfish of me to say no just because I don't like roller coasters. I'd rather be terrified than be a killjoy. I want you to have fun too." Izuku said as Tora looked back at him with concern, but then smiled.

"Aww that's so sweet of you Izuku. Tell you what? How about we go on the smaller roller coaster first, then work your way up to the big one. How does that sound? Or would you rather just ride the one big roller coaster? I'm fine with just one roller coaster, but I really want to ride the big one." Tora suggested as Izuku thought for a moment before coming to a decision.

"I think I'll just ride the one large roller coaster with you." Izuku said, thinking that would be better since he only had to ride one roller coaster verses all three.

"Okay let's go then!" Tora said as she grabbed Izuku's hand and lead him to the line for the largest roller coaster in the park. When it was their turn to get on, Izuku sat in the middle between Tora and another guy. Once all the cars were loaded, the roller coaster slowly made its way up the first crest.

"Oh man, this is gonna be fun." Tora said excitedly as the roller coaster cars neared the top of the crest. Just then, the cars raced down the crest before going up another one. The entire time, Tora had her hands up in the air, yelling and enjoying the thrilling ride. Izuku had one hand on the safety bar and the other on Tora's leg, gripping tightly with his eyes closed. Just the feel of the ride alone was enough to scare him. Tora on the other hand was enjoying every second of it. Halfway through the ride, Izuku opened one eye and peeked at Tora. The way that her hair was flowing behind her from the speed of the roller coaster was captivating. Although he was still terrified, seeing Tora having so much fun distracted him a little and made him happy. Because of that alone, the ride wasn't as bad as Izuku thought it was gonna be. Being with Tora really did make everything better.

"That was so fun!" Tora said as she and Izuku got off the ride together.

"Now that we've done something I wanted to do, what would you like to do?" Tora asked Izuku who looked around for a more gentle ride.

"I think I've had my thrill for today. Could we go on the merry-go-round?" Izuku asked as Tora smiled and happily obliged.

"Of course! Let's go!" She said as she took Izuku's hand and walked over to the merry-go-round with him. All the other riders were little kids and their parents. Tora and Izuku were the only teenagers on the ride, but they didn't care. They got on a large horse that could seat both of them. Izuku got on first, then Tora behind him. He blushed when she held onto his waist. She leaned her head against his back and smiled contently. After they got off the ride, a guy with a camera stopped them and asked if they wanted their picture taken to which they both agreed. Izuku placed his arm around Tora's shoulder, holding her close as he made the peace sign with his other hand. Both of them smiled for the photo. The guy snapped the photo and told them their picture would be available at the photo booth across from them and gave them the order number. They made their way to the photo booth and each got a copy of the photo. After that, they got something to eat for lunch, then played many carnival games and went on a few more rides to Izuku's liking. They were having so much fun, they lost track of time.

"Attention! The amusement park will be closing in ten minutes." An announcement sounded from the speakers throughout the amusement park.

"Wait, before we go, there's one more ride I'd like to go on that we haven't gone on yet. I want to go on the Ferris wheel." Tora said as Izuku smiled and took her hand, making her blush.

"Well let's go then before it's too late." Izuku said as he lead Tora to the Ferris wheel line. A middle aged man wearing an employee uniform guided the people off the Ferris wheel car then gestured for the two of them to get in. After Tora and Izuku boarded the car, the ride attendant closed and secured the door and the Ferris wheel started to rotate. As the car slowly ascended, Tora looked out over the beautiful scenery that glowed in the sunset.

"Wow, look at the view! It's gorgeous!" Tora said staring outside the Ferris wheel car. Izuku couldn't help but stare at Tora as she looked at the scenery from up high. The soft orange glow of the sunset perfectly shone onto her face, making her two different color eyes sparkle.

"Yeah it is. Just like you." Izuku said as he leaned in and kissed Tora tenderly. Tora wrapped her arms around behind his neck as the kiss became more heated and passionate. Their bodies rocked back and forth as they both leaned into the kiss. The car had just reached the top when suddenly, the Ferris wheel jerked to a stop which startled Tora and Izuku and interrupted their make out session. A voice sounded from the speaker in the ceiling of the car.

"Attention all passengers. We seem to be having technical difficulties with the operation of the Ferris wheel. We have called over mechanics and electricians to fix it. Please remain calm as the problem poses no danger. Bear with us as we try to sort out this issue. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause." The voice announced through the speaker. Tora and Izuku looked back at each other.

"Looks like we're gonna be stuck here for a while. What should we do?" Tora said, looking at Izuku as lust hazed over his emerald eyes. He was still hot and bothered from the make out session.

"I wanna continue where we left off." Izuku said as he pressed his lips against Tora's and kissed her passionately again. She didn't complain as they both melted into the kiss.
