One Bite to Another (English Version)

"I don't do business with monsters!" Mino sarcastically exclaimed, glaring fiercely at the lady with a thin cloth covering her face. "So was I with a pathetic human," Vreihya grumbled angrily. They both despised one other's kind because, in their own views, they were both monsters. Vreihya is the strongest vampire, fated by prophecy to bear a child who will substitute the Goddess of the Moon, yet she cannot live freely without the human who is her only remedy for her illness, and when the human perish, she dies. Their foes will object to having a half-human blooded vampire as their new Goddess, thus they will go to any length to slay the mortal and dominate the most powerful vampire in the vampire world.

ENEMIES

Third Person's P.O.V

As our two heroines commence their journey and battles, their foes are eager to get their hands on them. Jealousy, rage, and honor drive them to commit vile acts. They are like hungry beasts seeking for prey and will bite their necks at the right time.

The king was sitting on his golden throne, his chin resting on his right palm. He can't disguise his enthusiasm as the moment of seeking for the collapse of the Zecillion empire approaches.

"The princess did something dumb!" exclaimed King Arthur of Calixtas angrily. "I declared to you that they're hiding something nasty!" exclaimed Queen Elena forcefully. Queen Marayca kept silent in her seat but couldn't help but grin widely.

This is a pivotal event for them. This is the opportunity that they have all been waiting for. They still couldn't believe what they had discovered. King Ozyrus is standing still next to King Zakarias. He was well aware of the king's intents.

"It is absurd that a human race will replace our Goddess!" Queen Elena exclaimed once more. Marayca's brow furrows when she realizes all she can hear is noise. She expects action, not just words and curses. They must seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

When she looked at King Zakarias, she saw only scorching desire and excitement in his eyes. She can't help but smirk at the thought of them being on the same side. "That mortal must be murdered as quickly as possible," Queen Marayca stated emphatically as she drank gently from her magnificent goblet of blood.

Except for King Ozyrus, who simply sipped from his goblet, everyone nodded. "I heard the princess and the mortal have left their kingdom," King Arthur stated, as the royals who were listening gazed at him. "Their concealment won't last long, however," Queen Elena replied quickly.

"I've inquired from my links in other kingdoms, but no one knows where the princess is," Marayca assured. "What step do we take?" she asked, staring at King Zakarias, who abruptly rose from his seat.

He immediately raised his hand, and it caught fire. With the raging fire in his palm, his fire appears to transition into a human shape, and the shapes yell loudly and fearfully. It echoed across the room, and the observers burst out laughing. They already know what the king intends to define by his actions.

Because of what he observed, King Ozyrus lowered his head. He couldn't hide the wrath in his chest. He wonders whether this is what the woman he cares about and loves is going through right now. King Zakarias possesses the power of a raging fire. Everything he touches bursts into flames.

His searing fire is as fierce as his persona. That same night, the princess's kingdom was utterly destroyed. Many died as a result of various kingdoms' ruthless attacks on them. Instead of facing the war, Alonzo and Queen Zaliah chose to flee and save as many individuals as they could.

Many more would have perished if they had fought because they were unprepared. Queen Zaliah utilized her power to transport and hide her people. Alonzo led the first line of defense, resulting in the deaths of the enemy's allies, but other kingdoms purposefully poured their forces to assure the kingdom's demise.

As dwellings in the village burnt, the gloomy night was replaced by the awful light of massive fires. In the pursuit of other greedy kingdoms, many individuals were slaughtered, injured, or burned alive. Blood was splattered over the flowers and even the grass in the field.

Several bodies were leaning against huge, withered or decaying trees. Even the strongest kingdom with the most powerful leaders will succumb to terrible foes who collaborated for the same evil intention. The kingdom of Zecillion was defeated. The tranquil and beautiful garden-like kingdom was destroyed by evil powers.

The King's devilish laughter could be heard as he exited the kingdom's enormous gate. He didn't mind the raging fire that was destroying the palace he had entered earlier, burning every nook.

He appeared to be a demon calmly walking away from the scorching inferno. As they watched the palace crumble, his fellow rulers of neighboring kingdoms cheered. Ozyrus can't help but tighten his jaw when he sees that horrifying scene.

A massive burning castle burned by the devil. He's been in King Zakarias' fire for a long time, yet his mouth appears to be gagged and his body is bound to him. His entire perseverance is dedicated to his beloved.

--------------------------------------------

"It's fortunate that you've hidden something like this," queen Marayca said, staring at a gigantic creature's carcass. Its dry and burned body is visible. The fangs and sharp claws were pristine despite the fact that it was pitch black.

"Collection," remarked King Zakarias coldly, walking slowly around the table where the charred remnants of the creature lay. The queen only grinned since she understood the King's desire to collect some of this burnt corpses for a collection or even as a decoration.

"It's been far too long since I've seen a living Awol," the queen murmured, lightly touching its big and sharp fangs. The Awol's body is comparable to that of a gigantic sigbin, the most feared creature in the human world.

Sharp bones protruded from its back, and its eyes were completely black. "Don't wait any longer, Marayca," the King murmured impatiently, pulling out a chair to sit leisurely and see what the queen will do.

The Queen didn't hesitate any longer and moved closer to the monster's mouth. For a brief period, she prayed, and with her gesture, a circular portal emerged in front of her. It has a black center with red edges. As she slipped her left hand inside the portal, the Queen's eyes lit up.

She appeared to be taking something from it, and a few moments later she took a bottle with an unusual design from the portal. When she was able to completely retrieve it, the small portal vanished, as did the burning in her eyes.

Her abilities were simple, yet they had the potential to be fatal. A power that is ideal for a queen who prefers to kill quietly. As the queen opened the bottle, the king just peered at her intently. The bottle quickly emitted black smoke, and the blood-colored liquid inside boiled.

Due to the strong odor of the liquid, the king covered his nose. The Queen adjusted the monster's jaws slightly so that the liquid she was about to pour into its mouth would not spill.

The liquid quickly passed down the monster's throat. The veins protruding from its body began to light up gradually, and its sharp claws started to move. "He died in flames! He will be revived with flames!" exclaimed the Queen, and with a single snap of the king's finger, the monster's body caught fire.

The queen stepped away from the enormous fire and heard what appeared to be heavy breathing from the monster. As the creature slowly stood up, they couldn't help but grin with joy.

The sound that comes out of it is dreadful. The flames of the beast's body gradually faded away as it finally came to life and stood up. It roared with intensity and moved its body as if it had just woken up.

The previous burned and thin body had also vanished. Replaced with wrinkled and scaly dark skin with prominent big veins. The blood running through its veins is visible. The monster's hunger is unquenchable.

This is a creature designed to devour humans and feast on their fresh blood and flesh. Its dark eyes instantly turned smokey, and he began sniffing around for something. It howled immediately while facing north.

----------------------------------------------

When he saw the sanctuary's entrance, the king quickly tightened his jaw. Even Queen Marayca was irritated since she knew they were late in pursuing the princess and the mortal.

Once it saw the sanctuary, the beast shuddered in terror. They are unable to enter since Awols are not allowed in the sanctuary and they are terrified that they will go insane inside. When the king enters that playful place, his plan will be shattered.

"Entrante!" a tree that the King had thrown a fireball at burst into flames. "We haven't caught up with them!" exclaimed the queen, looking fiercely at the soldiers accompanying her. Their number had nearly filled the entire lawn.

They had been on the trail for several days in search for the princess and the mortal. They traversed the desert and the frozen forest. It's a good thing they didn't travel through the princess's forest because the smelling skills of the Awol had deviated because Mino had already left.

"It'll be a while before they get out of that cursed place," the king spat loudly as he quickly released fire from his palm in an attempt to burn the forces encircling the sanctuary, but it had no effect.

"We won't gain anything here, the princess is very clever," the queen muttered bitterly as she comforted the beast. "If I were you, I'd just annihilate their kingdom once and for all since I know there are survivors," the queen quickly offered, continuing to caress the horrible skin of the creature.

The king instantly nodded in agreement to the queen's suggestion and directed the soldiers to begin their return journey. "If we're lucky, they'll die inside the sanctuary," the king predicted grimly.

"Let's just keep an eye out for Alonzo and Zaliah," he said, scorching each butterfly that landed in his palm. He couldn't help but scoff at the thought of the Zecillion kingdom being unchecked. The opportunity to make amends and achieve the success he believes he deserves is gradually approaching him.
