Vreihya's P.O.V
"Entrante! Circa! I don't have time for this!" I yelled, sprinting to the door she had opened before, but it had vanished when I got there.
"You have every time in this world," I heard her say, even though she wasn't present. "So, whether you like it or not, here are our rules," she continued as I stood alone in the darkness, the light centered on me serving as my beacon.
Since there was nothing I could do, I simply clenched my fists. She is the sanctuary's ruler, and whether I like it or not, she is powerful than me. This is her domain, and it is her solemn duty. This is in exchange for us staying here to keep Mino safe.
I'm concerned about how he's doing right now. He might not be able to manage the mental game. I stared in front of me because there appeared to be a figure emerging from the smoke.
In the heart of the sanctuary's mountains, I could clearly see a large tower. It's a little ancient and overgrown with weeds, but it appears to be in good condition. "This is the Tower of Chaos," the deity said right away. I'm not sure why, but what she said immediately made me nervous.
I looked around since my surroundings were gradually becoming brighter, and I saw a large room with a brick wall. The lamps in the room began to ignite one by one. I returned my gaze to the smoke, releasing the vision.
"You're on the bottom level of this tower, and all you have to do to get to the top," she stated. My eyes widened as I noticed Mino and Kypper both unconscious. As they were hauled into the air, both of their hands were shackled. Circa, you truly enjoy the game!
"I will punish them for every mistake you do," the deity's voice said emphatically. "Entrante!" I exclaimed in response to her assertion. "Let's see how strong the princess of nature truly is," she ridiculed me, and I immediately imagined her mischievous smirk.
"I won't deny it, Vreihya, I adore your mate; after learning everything about him, I can't help but be impressed; he is a gem that has to be polished," she assured me solemnly. I couldn't help but smile since she voiced her feelings without hesitation.
"Find someone for yourself," I grumbled. "The title "mate stealer" is not fitting for a sanctuary deity," I told her forcefully, and immediately heard the echo of her mischievous laughing.
"I don't care about that wretched title; if you only knew what I know, you'd want to make him yours," she added, laughing, and I frowned. I'm not sure what she's saying. Mino is absolutely remarkable, and even the deity seemed to be interested in him.
"Explain!" I demanded emphatically, but all I got in return was laughter. She knew something that would totally change him! That's why the deity that I wanted to strangle and throw off a cliff was acting like that.
"Na ah princess," she murmured, her laugh merely raising my brow. I was ready to speak when I sensed what appeared to be shaking around me and immediately alerted myself. This game appears to be ready to begin.
The ground immediately opened, and a slim and tall monster emerged from it. It has lengthy fingers and a round head, but it has no face. His skinny body was wrapped in a black bandage, while the exposed areas were red.
In his left hand, he held what appeared to be a circular clock facing me. He extended his left hand and index finger. At the same time that the clock hands sound, he moves his index finger left and right.
"What is this?" I said, agitated, as the monster continued to move his finger and the sound of the clock resonated in the room. "Good luck!" the deity said with a mischievous laugh.
Entrante! I'm absolutely fed up with her. I began to fix my eyes on the beast, but it's difficult to make a move when you don't know anything about its ability or power. "You don't have time," he replied slowly with his raspy voice, like if he was speaking from beneath the ground.
I didn't waste any time and dashed towards him as quickly as I could. I was going to attack when my eyes dilated and I abruptly halted because he vanished from my sight.
I instantly looked around since the clock seemed to be sounding louder. Entrante! I can't feel his presence! I instantly lost my stance and fell to the ground while looking for him since I felt a hard attack on my back.
I saw the monster again when I looked at him, but it quickly vanished. I instantly rose up and refocused my senses, but I couldn't feel him. The loud noise from the clock just added to my torment.
"You don't have time," I heard his voice on my right again, so I turned to face him, but I was taken aback when I felt his attack on my left and was knocked aside. My back swiftly collided with the wall, causing me to hiss.
Entrante! He possesses the power to conceal his presence and vanish like a bubble. Because of the noise from his clock, he made it much more difficult for his opponent to concentrate. It appears that I'm becoming deaf as the clock's noise became louder and louder as it's sound became increasingly fast.
I instantly straightened myself and moved away from the wall so I could feel him again. I attempted to close my eyes, but the only thing that came to mind was the loud and fast ticking of the clock. I require intense concentration.
"You don't have time," he snarled again, and I felt a powerful punch on my left cheek. I didn't even go down because I had strengthened my standing, but the force of his hit was felt throughout my entire body.
I didn't even open my eyes since I was continuously trying to feel him. I attempted to block out the sounds from his clock. I became disturbed when I began to consider wielding the power I had renounced for so long. I bit my lower lip because I knew the dangers of such power and vowed never to use it again.
"You don't have time!" he says, his voice coming from my right. I was going to attack there when I opened my eyes and delivered a punch to the left. Something quickly collided with my fist.
He appeared instantly, and I witnessed my fist strike his left cheek before he flew away. I saw his body partially buried in the wall and how he was attempting to flee.
But I was immediately frightened when two incisions appeared on his forehead and his eyes popped out. They are all black with a crimson dot in the center. I couldn't help but be repulsed by his appearance, especially because he had a cut and a lot of blood was coming out of it.
Fangs and his long and filthy tongue protruded through the cut. Entrante! I enraged the beast. When it was no longer buried to the wall, he peered at me with his unrivaled eyes.
"You don't have time!" he exclaimed again, and his presence suddenly vanished. The clock noise became louder and faster. The noise is no longer only from a clock. It multiplied and rang all at once. Because of the deafening noise, I quickly covered both of my ears.
Entrante! Even if I am gravely harmed in this fight, I will not utilize that power just to win. When I use it again, the situation becomes more worse. I can't help but be concerned because it's becoming increasingly difficult to locate his presence.
I was ready to turn around to face my back because that's where I felt him, but I was startled by a violent attack in my stomach. "You don't have time," he murmured as he reappeared, his fist still on my stomach, and I was blown away.
I hit the wall much harder this time, and I could hear the cracking of my bones. Entrante! So much anguish! I took a deep breath as I heard the creature's hoarse laughing.
My knees began to shake with fear, but I had to brace myself. I suppose I have nothing against this beast. I can't see him or feel him. I was also unable to think clearly due to the loud noise of his clock.
I merely looked up, as if I didn't know what to do. I gently wiped the blood that had come out of my mouth as a result of his earlier attack.
When I lowered my hand from wiping my blood, it trembled. I'm losing hope and stamina in defeating the beast. I try not to reveal my dread and try to halt the trembling of my knees.
"Are you afraid?" asked the monster, and I looked in his direction but didn't see him. Entrante! How can I defeat him? I quickly heard his mocking chuckle, as well as the deafening clang of his clock.
I didn't know what else to do, so I pushed myself to close my eyes again and attempt to feel him, but the sound of the clock was insane. I immediately violently opened my eyes since my lips were trembling.
Entrante! I'm terrified! I was going to stand up, when I looked down at my hand and noticed that something had landed on it. I saw a blue butterfly with a golden body right away. It has red dispersed stripes on its blue wing.
I attempted to scare it away, but it simply returned to my hand that I used to wipe my blood. I immediately grinned because of my realization. The butterfly follows and lands wherever I move my hand.
I abruptly stood up, the awful creature revealed himself with a silly smile on its hideous lips. "You don't have time," he laughed rapidly.
He immediately vanished again, and his clock began to tick wildly. I closed my eyes again, and when I felt what appeared to be an attack in front of me, I bit my wrist and violently opened my eyes. My blood instantly gushed from my bite, and I turned around.
I felt his slap on my cheek right away, but I tried to grab his body and rubbed my bleeding wrist on it. I blasted off again, but I quickly came to a halt to avoid soaring into the distance.
I quickly licked my wound, and because I was the only one who inflicted it, it healed quickly. The creature appeared instantly, and I noticed my blood on his chest. I quickly grinned, and he vanished.
I didn't waste any more time and went straight to him. I attacked quickly and felt my fist strike his body. He went fast behind me but still not exposing me his full body. I kicked him quickly and without error since I knew I hit his jaw.
He shrieked loudly, but I quickly seized him and struck his torso with my knee. He receded slightly, but perhaps because he was no longer in his right mind because I knew where he was, I could sense his presence gradually.
Because he is losing concentration, the noise on his clock gradually diminishes. Even though I haven't seen him yet, I know where he is, which is why I bridged our distance quickly and clawed him viciously.
As a result of this, he shrieked in anguish and rapidly appeared. I could see the deep black color that appeared to be blood oozing from his neck. He stumbled backwards and dropped his watch, which caused it to shatter.
As the beast gradually leans against the wall to halt the bleeding from the deep slash on his neck, the thunderous sound of the clock has ceased. "Ho- How?" he stammered, his voice hoarse and feeble.
I immediately smirked at him as I noticed his eyes shutting. Three butterflies landed at the same time when I raised my index finger. "These butterflies are drawn to blood, so I tainted you with it, and they landed on your body," I explained to the beast.
That's how I know where he is. Because of my smeared blood, butterflies flock to his body.
It slowly closed its eyes, and the fire enveloped its entire body. I also sensed my body's weakening as a result of the attacks. "This is going to be a long journey."
