"Adams, I think she's dead" Alpha Sanders mentioned, staring at the little girl lying unconscious on the floor of the room.
On hearing those words from his Alpha's lips, Adams dashed over to the little girl's side without wasting time. He hovered down and brought his ears closer to her chest.
He was checking out her heartbeat, and smiled when he heard it beating normal. She was still alive and not dead. She must have blacked out, out of fear.
Alpha Sanders shot Adams an awkward look as he was smiling and not saying a word while checking out the little girl's heartbeat.
"Why are you smiling?" Alpha Sanders questioned Adams, who was still smiling.
Adams stared at his alpha when he shot him that question and continued smiling before speaking.
"She's alive Alpha" he announced, and Alpha Sanders returned his gaze back over to the little girl. Alpha Sanders hovered closer to the little girl and checked out her heartbeat too.
It was beating normally.
"Then why is she lying dead?" Alpha Sanders pointed to the little girl, and studied her face closely, checking out for when she would wake up.
"She just blacked out Alpha, but she would be awake soon" Adams made known to his bewildered Alpha who was still staring at the little girl.
"She's faking it" Alpha Sanders stated, his gaze still fixed on the little girl's body firmly. He was sure she was faking it to escape death. The little girl was smart indeed but he was no fool to fall for her puerile tricks.
"I don't think so, Alpha" Adams shot his Alpha a look that says, 'are you serious right now?'. Why would a little girl fake blacking-out? when she really blacked out of fear.
But with the way his Alpha was staring at him, he surely was going to have a hard time explaining that to him.
Alpha Sanders sighed, and shifted his gaze over to his spear beside him and picked it up. Adams watched him, studying his movements closely and wondering what he was up to.
"I don't care if she's faking it or not but it's better I kill her now than when she's awake since she's still a kid" Alpha Sanders said, grabbing his spear as Adams continued to watch him confusedly.
"What are you doing?" Adams asked Alpha Sanders who was rubbing the tip of his spear against the floor to sharpen it and make it more pointy. His Alpha must be insane for wanting to kill the little creature in front of him.
"Why ask me that stupid question!" Alpha Sanders bellowed, "Can't you see I'm going to kill her?".
Adams blinked his eyes twice and rubbed them. His Alpha has finally gone insane, was he really going to murder a little girl?. This was the first time for him to see his Alpha say such a thing and now he really knows why Alpha Sanders was feared greatly.
He was really a beast.
Adams couldn't stay and watch idly if his Alpha was going to murder the little girl, but he at the same time couldn't risk his own life by stopping his Alpha from murdering the little girl.
He must act wisely and say something reasonably to prevent getting his own head cut off too.
Alpha Sanders lifted the spear up, targeting the little girl's chest and positioned it well to not miss her heart. He licked his lips in satisfaction, as he was finally going to end the last remaining lineage of the Myers.
Alpha Sanders was about to pierce her tiny little heart into pieces with the tip of his spear, when some hands grabbed his, stopping the tip of the spear hanging midway in the air from piercing the little girl's heart.
"How dare you stop me Adams?" Alpha Sanders roared, and flung him aside. He got up and walked up to Adams and grabbed him by the throat.
"Alpha,..please…you…can't…kill…her" Adams pleaded amidst the tightened grip on his neck, choking him. He was about to be killed just because of trying to save the life of a little girl he had nothing in common with.
"She's just a child, you can't-"
"She's a child of our enemy, Adams!" Alpha Sanders cut him short and released his tightened grip around Adam's neck. Adams rubbed his neck again as soon as Alpha Sanders let go of him.
That would be the second time of him escaping death twice, again today.
"You would have been dead long ago Adams, if you weren't my little brother" Alpha Sanders said to him, moving over to the little girl as Adams followed suit.
"You can't kill her Alpha, look she might be of the same age with Tyler" Adams pointed towards the little girl, while Alpha Sanders looked away from her.
Tyler was Alpha Sanders's only child.
"What are you suggesting we do with her, then?" Alpha Sanders asked for Adams's opinion since he was against him killing the little girl.
"Let us take her with us" Adams suggested, and Alpha Sanders shot him a vicious glare. "You can't kill her and we can't leave her here with nobody" Adams added, scratching the back of his head.
"She has Myers's blood running in her veins Adams, I can't bring her into our pack"
"I know but remember you were friends with Myers before all this started happening" Adams said as his hand reached for the top of Alpha Sanders's shoulder, rubbing it softly.
"Myers's father was the reason we lost father and mother, Adams" Alpha Sanders said, his tone was low and sad as his brows furrowed too.
He sighed deeply and sent his wolf back in, and returned to his normal being.
Adams shook his head slowly and said, "I know Sanders, but we can't kill his daughter because of her grandfather's mistake, she's innocent"
Alpha Sanders stared at the little girl and moved his gaze back to Adams and sighed.
"You can bring her, but I have nothing to do with her" Alpha Sanders told Adams and left the room straightaway without looking back.
Adams ran over to where the little girl was lying and carried her up in his arms, "you are safe, little one", he left the room.

In a large magnificent house, the large crystal golden chandelier strapped at the top of the ceiling of the living room displayed little sparks of light in the wide living room which was almost the size of a ballroom.
"Daddy!" A little cute boy with strawberry blonde hair styled in a side part fade haircut screamed, running towards the man kneeling on one knee and spreading his arms out for an embrace, not minding the blood stains all over his father's body.
"Ty, my boy" The man embraced the little boy tightly, ruffling his hair smoothly as he got up to his feet and spinned around.
"Where have you been, daddy?" The little boy asked, blinking his beautiful green eyes and searching his father's eyes for answers.
He was tucked into bed by his father earlier before his father went hunting, and when he woke up. He couldn't find his father anywhere around his room or the house.
"I went hunting, son," The man responded, kissing his little boy's cheeks and bringing him down from his arms.
"Alpha, she's awake" Adams announced from behind Alpha Sanders who was so engrossed in the little father and son conversation they were having.
Alpha Sanders turned around, staring at the little girl cuddled around Adam's hands as he was putting her down to her feets.
He sighed and went away, as his son followed suit but stopped when Adams called him.
"Hey Ty, come over here"
The little boy walked up to Adams instantly and the little girl beside him. He stopped in front of them and gave the little girl a deadpan look.
"What's your name, little one?" Adams asked the little girl beside him, who was glaring at Ty as he was doing the same to her too.
She shook her head slowly before saying "My name is Wren" her tiny voice echoed almost inaudibly, but Adams heard every word she said clearly.
"I got you a new friend, Ty" Adams bent down to meet up with their little heights.
Ty's little lips raised up scornfully, his eyes examining the little girl beside his uncle.
Who was she and what was she doing in his house?. And why was uncle Adams introducing her to him as a new friend?.
He had enough friends and none of them were girls, he never went along with girls so he doesn't make female friends.
"I don't like her uncle Adams,'' Tyler said and ran off to meet up with his father. Wren watched him silently as he ran off and intertwined her little fingers with Adams.
She felt safe around him only, since he was the only one nice to her.
Listening to Ty's words, little Wren didn't need anyone to tell her, she wasn't welcome there.
