Lunchtime and lies (Finalized)

James and Scarlett walked into the dining room. Cadence was already sat at the table, followed by Matias, William, the two guards from before, and some other royal staff Scarlett recognized but didn't know their names. James pulled out a chair for Scarlett and she carefully sat down; James sat across the table opposite her.

"It's so good to see you two again. It's been a while." Cadence exclaimed.

James smiled at nodded at Cadence while Scarlett kept her head down, avoiding eye contact. 

"Scarlett, what's wrong? You seem awfully quiet." Cadence asked.

"Nothing, just admiring the pre-set food." Scarlett lied.

In reality, Scarlett was avoiding making eye contact but didn't want to say anything. 

"Come on; you don't expect me to believe that. Scarlett admiring castle food? Please. Are you sure you're okay?" Cadence asked, a little more concerned,

"I'm fine, honestly. I was just thinking," Scarlett sighed.
