Chapter 29: Tennessee Wild Man

Ripley's POV

Ripley wasn't expecting to stumble across a case on accident.

Monday morning, her phone was blowing up with text, but not from the usual crowd.

Nope.

These were from Sarah, from Katie, and from Beth. There was even a stray text from Cory that Ripley chose to ignore.

'Did u talk to Katie?' Sarah's text read.

'You have GOT to talk to Katie!' was Beth's text.

'u will never believe what happened 2 me!!!!!!' from Katie.

Ripley hated the way Katie used numbers in place of some words in her texts. They had iPhones now, they weren't using T9 texting anymore. They hadn't since, like, middle school.

It wasn't relevant, though. Ripley hurried to text them all back.

It wasn't like they knew what she did for work. Ripley kept that tightly under wraps. Her friends definitely knew she had an interest in the strange and unusual, in the cryptid type of thing, though.
