Chapter 12 - NYPD Captain

The sound of sirens and people filled the scene as everyone found the abandoned alley where the streets belong to mostly gang and crooks currently demolished showing a huge fight that didn't belong to normal people. A car arrives in the place and the door opens to reveal a striking Asian-American young woman, sporting a sleek figure and graceful mannerisms.

She sports short black hair wearing a bright red blouse with buttons, and the sleeves rolled up. The rest of her outfit is completely black including long gloves, leather pants, and boots with a small heel. She also wears a necklace that slightly resembles a cross.

"Captain Watanabe." The police officer walked over to the young woman. She was Yuriko Watanabe, Captain of the NYPD and currently fixated in the collateral damages. They were clearly mesmerized and captivated by the Asian beauty, especially how graceful she presented herself.

"Report." Yuri cut to the case walking over to the site noticing the large indent into the walls and ground along with slashes that belong to a human hand. It was clearly from a fight from either a mutant or superpowered individual. The police were going to try to hit on her but were known to be cold and distant, taking her job seriously.

"Well, from what we've gathered there weren't any witnesses that saw the fight but heard explosions and screams. We suspected that it might be some mutant gang fighting." The police reported while Yuri frowned, noticing the lack of evidence to know who the person was.

'S.H.I.E.L.D might need to get involved in this.' She thought to herself recalling a close friend of hers that might help find the answer to what happened. Yuri simply acted as a normal captain but was more of an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D that handled the front line. She spent looking around and trying to find anything but everyone left with nothing beside what they already obtained.

"Alright, I'll go ahead and scan the neighborhood since I still have a number of assignments needed to finish." Yuri left the scene moving into her car and drove away before taking out a device into his ear.

"Natasha it's me, Yuri." She said, speaking to the ear pieces.

"Hello, Yuri? Did something happen?" The other side of the line asked. It was Natasha Romanoff also known as The Black Widow. She has recently finished beating up a group of masked assailants that had killed themselves after Natasha easily beat them. Natasha was disappointed that they died before getting any information from them.

Natasha was beautiful and sexy in her outfit that was made from unique material that seemed latex yet flexible. She had a gauntlet and utility belt that she uses to take the assassin down.

"Yeah, it seems to be super powered-related and the clues are too thin for us to handle. What about you, how's the life of an Avenger?" Yuri said she knows that it's something that might need more support.

If it was a simple murder case with thugs then she would be able to handle it but seeing things are and her intuition telling her to call Natasha made the decision to call her.

"It's been mundane, I'm currently on a mission and lucky for you I'm in the area." Natasha said.

"...alright, let's meet up at 8 Pm." Yuri said as they bid farewell while she continued to survey the area. She wondered what would be the cause of it and if the one responsible was going to be a criminal or an ally.

Cindy and Peter finished their discussion about the future where the two got along and got dressed heading back home. He insisted on walking her home and Cindy happily accepted giving them another time to chat until she saw her house in the distance.

"I think I can handle it from here. My home is close by. Thank you again for today and I'm looking forward to our training." Cindy enjoys their chat and how both share their interest, acting rather nerdy at times.

"Right, have this as a way to protect yourself for the time being. It will not only keep you safe but those around you like people who you cherish." Peter took out a necklace that had a gem shining brilliantly like the vast ocean of the galaxy.

He already wore one at the moment after discovering he could open any portal to any reality he desired. This makes him basically omnipotent all thanks to this ability. Cindy was surprised and blushing at the gift, mesmerized by its beauty that continued to glimmer.

"Are you sure?" Cindy was reluctant to accept something that valuable and hadn't done anything to deserve it.

"Of course, it would be bad if you suddenly get in trouble again when I'm not around." Peter honestly didn't want anyone important to him to get hurt and Cindy feeling butterflies in her stomach from this showing lovely smile.

"If that's the case then thank you." Cindy was happy that he was willing to do this.

"Let me put it on you." Peter said, walking behind her then wrap it around her neck that automatically adjusts and won't be in the way when she moves. Cindy held the touch of the gemstone and felt safe upon putting it on the look at Peter who was smiling couldn't help but wish for a kiss and couldn't help himself taking one.

"You look even more beautiful." It was rather strange to speak so close to someone that only just met a few hours ago yet the two shared a bond beyond the norms. Cindy delightfully smiles, blushing from his compliment.

"Well, I'll see you on Monday." Peter said, watching Cindy and walked towards her home waving back at him.

"See you around, Peter~!" Cindy couldn't believe she said his first name but naturally rolled off her tongue. Peter smiled watching head back home while he left once she was out of sight swinging back where he decided to capture some more criminals while he was at it. He found some thugs and thieves easily defeating them then returning some stolen goods.

It didn't take him long when he already had years of experience because of the memories and essence that he absorbed from the spider totem that Morlun had. He returned them when he already had what he needed. Peter finished up and headed back home looking at the time where it was around dinner time.

"Oh, Peter, where have you been?" Aunt May saw him entering the door noticing the change where he seemed more mature and brimming with charisma.

*Hi, aunt may, I just needed to clear my head and stuff. By the way, what's for dinner?" Peter said while his aunt nodded as the two headed to the dinner table and had supper as they chatted as they let the news broadcasted where it was about the debut of spiderman.

'This is good, I should head to meet up with Ezekiel Sims knowing he is likely to be searching for me and I could get support from him.' Peter thought to himself while eating and thinking about the next step he needed to do. He was going to jump start a company and getting someone to sponsor him would be good.

He knew that there would be a lot of spider women as well as the small possibility of another spider man to exist if his clone was ever created.

'Also I need to contact S.H.I.E.L.D and get information about my parents and start doing something about the hydra agent hiding.' He thought to himself could easily get rid of them but preferred helping them in ways that won't abuse his power.

'Right, are my parents still alive and if not who killed them?' Peter knew that his parents should be CIA agents that acted as double agents to hydra.

{ Unfortunately, your parents are not alive anymore in this dimension. They were killed during their escape when the villain known as the High Evolutionary found out about their attempt to stop the development of super soldier serum for Hydra. } Cortana said while Peter became angry at this knowing her parents were killed but quickly calmed down knowing he could revive them he wanted.

'I'll simply revive them once I deal with High Evolutionary. How about Jessica Drew? Wanda? Pietro? As well as their sister, Polaris? Where are they.?' Peter laid into his bed while Cortana continued to report.

{ Jessica Drew is currently training at a Hydra facility to become the best assassin while Wanda, Piero and Polaris are currently working with Magneto to fight against humanity or at least protest. } Cortana said allowing Peter to put some outline and understood that X Men are farther in their events than Avengers and other heroes.

'Alright, I think I'll try to meet with S.H.I.E.L.D first then deal with High Evolutionary before taking care of the Mutant. If I'm lucky Sublime would be dead.' Peter could take care of it all but decided not to control everything and let things take its course. The next day, Peter worked out chatting Cindy a good morning.

Peter: Good Morning Sunshine~ did you sleep well?

Cindy: Good morning, Peter. Yeah and I was expecting that I would be on high alert knowing that I'm not the same anymore and I have powers now. It still feels like some sort of dream.

Peter: Glad to hear that and trust me, it's real. You'll eventually get used to it.

Cindy: I have so, by the way, what's your plan today?

Peter: Doing some hero work, here and there. I'm going to meet someone and that could help us combat our enemies.

Cindy: Really? Who?

Peter: Ezekiel Sims, the man that was supposed to train you. He's a businessman and can help sponsor my company.

Cindy: oh wow you're really serious huh? Then I should do the same and study hard to get to Harvard and join your company.

Peter: Good luck, if yah need some help don't hesitate to ask. Anyways, I gotta go, it's nice talking to you.

Cindy: Same here, my mom is calling me.

He smiled then checked other messages to see that he received a reply from Gwen and Ned. Peter just remembered that Ned Leeds was supposed to be Hobgoblin and would try to avoid it. He could make him into a hero and an ally of his.

Ned: Peter, how are you? I just saw you the other day and you look awful.

Peter: Yeah, just a little under the weather but I'm alright now. I think I just hit puberty.

Ned: lol, dude we're 18 how can something hit twice?

Peter: You never know, in a world of superheroes and Mutant it wouldn't be strange it happens.

Neds: Fair point, Anyway, hope to see you in school soon.

Peter: Same here.

Their conversation soon ended and went to check on Gwen's message to him. He smiled seeing how much she seemed to be worried for him.

Gwen: Hey, you finally answered. I was worried when you had to go home during our trip.

Peter: Hehehe, sorry to make you worry there but I'm all fine. Like said to Ned, I just hit a second puberty.

Gwen: Lol, what the heck do you mean second puberty!?

Peter: You'd be surprised once we meet. Maybe get attracted by my newly improved charm.

Gwen at the other side blush notices how Peter is acting more bold in their conversation and would joke around but never try to flirt with her.

Gwen: We'll see. By the way, dad is calling me. Ttyl

Peter: Took your time to reply there, hehehe already imaging seeing my face

Gwen: dude now you're just acting narcissistic.

Peter: Hahaha Lighten up, I'm also excited to see your pretty face.

She blushed on the other side and started to like him even more especially how confident he is messaging her. Perhaps he did really hit a second puberty?

Gwen: Alright, I really need to go, ttyl.

Peter: See you soon.

He turned off his phone then turned to Cortana who appeared in hologram.

"Contact Ezekiel Sims for me." Peter said.

{ Already done it. } Cortana connected herself to the landline of Ezekiel Sims as he was in his office looking at the news about spider-themed superheroes and started to look for them when his office phone rang from an unknown number.

"Hello, who is this?" Ezekiel asked curious who would contact him and his intuition told him to answer it.

"I am spiderman and I'm aware of Morlun. I would like to meet you at 10 Am in your office but make sure no one is around. We don't want Morlun to know about our meeting." Peter obviously killed one of the infinite versions of Morlun and upon mentioning his name made Ezekiel understood.

"How can I trust you?" Ezekiel is unsure how to know if it was a trap or not.

"My real name is Peter Parker. That's enough to be used against me." Peter obviously won't be affected by it that much and was simply trying to get his trust. Ezekiel took a moment and tried to see if it was a trap or not but felt that he should trust him.

"Alright, I'll be waiting for you, Spider man." Ezekiel was already planning on protecting every spider totem if possible and didn't see any problem trusting Peter.

Peter on the other hand smirks and acquires an Ally (pawn for Venom) and soon heads downstairs where he had breakfast with his Aunt and Uncle then excuses himself telling them he was going to work out from then on and learn how to defend himself. This makes them less suspicious of what he was doing and wasn't lying about fighting.

'Alright time to suit up.'

Venom surrounded him with his symbiote suit and teleported in the sky where he began swinging around moving towards the city where he would fight some small thugs and criminals that was rather easy.
