CHAPTER 28 It's Time to Show Off.

"We're leaving now, Sensei. There's no time to waste. Are you staying or coming with us? Either of you is free to follow us," I said, preparing to head to the next building, where President Kyoh was located. It seemed she had changed her position and was now in the infirmary.

In the end, Sensei decided to join us and promised to return with help. I had no intention whatsoever of going back for them; it wasn't worth it.

Nishimura's friends also convinced him to stay. I wished him good luck; if I see him turned into a zombie in the future, I'll give him a clean death.

On the way, I continued to easily eliminate zombies using my sword.

I gave a metal bat to Ranko, the sexy tan gal we found on the classroom.

To Nanako and Sensei Yui, I gave a wooden bat from the world tree. I gave Akane a wooden spear with a sharp tip, unbeknownst to her that it was from the world tree.

I pulled all these items from a cleaning supplies closet, well, I took them from my storage and made it look like I took them from the closet, which wasn't very convincing, but they didn't argue.

"Where are we heading, Daniel?" Akane asked.

"To the infirmary; that's where the president is."

"Hey, then we need to split up. I have to look for my friend in the freshman building."

"That's dangerous. How about this? Take this special phone that always connects calls. Tell your friend to stay in her classroom and not to leave. If she's already left, tell her to hide. After I find my friend, I'll help you find yours," I told Ranko as I tossed her a phone so she could stay in touch.

"Okay, thanks... Daniel," Ranko said happily and more relaxed.

We continued moving, and as we walked across a bridge connecting the classrooms, we saw three people fighting a zombie. One of them had tried to grab the zombie with bare arms.

"Daniel, we have to help them!" Sensei Yui said.

To impress, I moved quickly and instantly reached the guy and the zombie. I stopped the zombie's teeth with my sword and with a precise motion, cut its head off mid-air, then kicked the head towards another zombie, destroying both heads.

"Phew, I rocked this!"!"

I heard excited applause from Nanako and Ranko, as if I had performed a magic trick. Perhaps I got a bit too carried away.

But the moment of celebration was interrupted when I saw that Nanako and Ranko left their backs unprotected, and the zombies got closer.

With a swift movement, I appeared in front of Ranko, and she stumbled in fear. A zombie was approaching from behind, so I aimed my sword towards Ranko and eliminated it.

"Are you okay, Ranko?" I asked, grabbing her waist to prevent her from falling. Our faces were very close, and the moment felt intense.

Ranko blushed, and we stared at each other for a few seconds until the sound of a camera was heard again.

"Daniel-kun, I'm gathering more evidence to tell Ako how you behave when you're not around," Nanako said, breaking the atmosphere.

In an exaggerated flirting move, I decided to teach Nanako a lesson. I took her by the waist and whispered in her ear, making her blush even more.

"Don't make me punish you, my dear Nanako-chan," I said playfully, but it was clear it wasn't just a game.

To my surprise, both of my ears were grabbed by Akane and Sensei. Both scolded me for my behavior. Then, the guys I saved approached.

"Thanks for your help. My name is Hisashi. And you?" the brown-haired guy asked, holding the hand of the orange-haired girl, while the dark-haired young man accompanied them.

"It's nothing; it was easy. I'm Daniel, and now we have to move, so goodbye. By the way, don't ever fight a zombie that way again. If it bites you, you'll turn into one of them," I warned.

"Let's go," I said, and the other girls quickly followed me. Now I had to reach the infirmary and find the president.

"Wait, can we come with you?" the orange-haired girl asked this time.

"As long as you don't get in the way, and if you come, stop screaming. You attract zombies," I mentioned without looking back and continued on my way, eliminating the zombies that had been attracted by the girl's scream.

The three of them looked embarrassed and followed us. The guy named Hisashi held the girl's hand while the other guy stared. I sighed, feeling like we were trapped in a drama.

As I entered the new building, we heard a scream from the stairs. We ran there and found four girls surrounded by zombies.

Three of them were being protected by a sexy purple-haired girl with a wooden sword.

"Stay here, girls. You'll be responsible for protecting them while I'm gone," I said sweetly to the girls and in a deeper tone to the guys.

The stairs were three meters away from the bridge where we were. Without wasting time, I jumped to land in the midst of the zombies, right on top of one of them.

As soon as I touched the ground, the zombies noticed and focused on me. With a single circular swing of my sword, the zombies' heads fell to the ground.

This impressed both the girls I was trying to help and my group. The battle was far from over; I wanted to have a bit of fun with them.
