I continued my inner struggle, weighing the pros and cons of accepting the offer. On the one hand, the promise of obtaining power, riches and control over my destiny was tempting. Who wouldn't want to have absolute control over their life and the fate of others? However, the fairy's disdainful tone made me doubt her true intentions.
As I pondered, the fairy kept looking at me, eagerly awaiting my decision. But before I could answer, I felt a strange presence in the room. A disturbing and powerful aura took over the atmosphere, and a shiver ran down my spine. The world's will was approaching, and I knew it.
"Hurry up, human, we don't have much time! Accept my offer, and we'll escape from the world's will", urged the fairy in an urgent tone.
"Wait", I said in a low voice, trying to buy time while looking for a way out. "I need to know more about this alliance before making such an important decision. Why do you seem to need me especially? What is your true purpose?"
The fairy frowned, and her arrogant smile disappeared for a moment. "My origin is very ancient. I was born from the accumulation of residual fate energy from countless worlds. For thousands of years, I wandered in search of opportunities to strengthen myself and evolve. Finally, I found a world where the world's will was distracted enough, which allowed me to steal most of the fate energy and use it to find my perfect user".
"Me?" I asked, intrigued by the motive behind this search.
The fairy tilted her head gracefully. "Humans have a special connection with fate and a unique ability to shape it. You, mortal beings, have the ability to make decisions and change the course of your lives. And you my new partner, have a special aura deep inside you".
I was puzzled by her explanation. If what she says is true… The world's will was a mysterious and powerful force in the novels I've read, rumored to control the fate of all living beings in its world. How could I, a mere human, challenge such power?
As I continued to weigh my options, the presence grew stronger, and the room shook slightly. The world's will was getting closer quickly, and I didn't have much time to decide.
"Alright, I accept your offer", I said finally, knowing that this choice would change my life forever. "But I have one condition: I don't want stupid system missions that are mandatory and failure is death, I don't want to be a stupid system slave".
The fairy looked at me with surprise, showing a face where she expected me to be more idiotic, before trying to negotiate more, the feeling of oppression increased more and with equal haste as me, she gave up and accepted "Deal done, Master".
