Rough Beginnings
Ethan's POV

*Chirping Noises*
*The sluggish 18-19 year old body of Ethan slowly but surely started to awaken from its short slumber*
"D.....amn my head hurts, a lot. *Touches forehead* Oh blood, isn't that just peachy!" 'Nothing I can do about that at the moment though. That and where did I end up getting thrown in the fairy tail world? Oh and my Omnitrix I almost forgot about that!'
*Looks down at wrist and see's the prototype, with a bright blue light.* "Ok so I can't see my aliens or use it just yet. That just gives me time to search this place for a suitable location for my base or temporary home!"
*The surrounding area was a little open glade, with a two feet wide stream of water that went on for a little ways before going into what looked like a small pond from where he currently is.*
*Growl.....Growl...Growl*
"Not even an thirty minutes into my new life and I am already starving. Ok quit wasting time Ethan and look for a spot to set up base then focus on feeding yourself!" *Ethan walked about ten minutes following the river downstream until he arrived at the small pond, which also seemed to have another stream going out.*
"This looks like a comfortable place to set up base for a while. Now to set up a fire pit, which requires a few sticks and a lot of big rocks." 'At least there are a few rocks of varying sizes I can currently see, however I am unsure if it is enough. Well I can just go get more if it isn't.' *Ethan proceeded to scurry about until he collected enough rocks, and then go on a journey for sticks.*
*Almost an hour of Ethan being a little goblin later*
"Finally I.........am done! No more rock and stick gathering, but now comes the toughest two parts making fire and getting food." 'For the fire I could use some dead grass and use the Hand Drill method to get fire the fastest for my current situation. Then I will go take a dip to get catch some fish after making a wooden spear."
*It had been about an hour of learning how to do the Hand Drill method before he got the hang of it.* "Ok that is learning to make fire done, onto something more challenging! Catching something to feed my tired body." *Makes a small spear by sharpening the edge of a stick with a small rock, which took a good thirty minutes.* "Damn, I have wasted a good while trying to do that and its only semi-sharp. Ah well time to go spear fishing!" *Heads over to the little pond and jumps in looking under water.*
(AN: The water is pretty clean, so he jumped in to make seeing fish easier.)
'Damn it hurts to open my eyes under water, that and only swimming a few times in life makes this twice the challenge. Oh a fish, although it is a little small.' *Stabs the spear at the fish missing the first time, to thoroughly pierce its side the second go around.* 'One down' *A few times of him taking breaks for air and stabling another four fish, Ethan arrives back in front of his fire pit cold.*
"Ok, I officially hate the cold. Now time to light a fire and prepare the fish." *Another ten to twenty minutes later, of getting the fire started and preparing the fish, Ethan finally takes a break while it cooks.* "Ah finally some time to rest my sore legs and arms. *Rustle. Rustle.* Son of a!" *Out from the bushes crawls a little fox that was no bigger than his wrist to elbow with white fur.* *Fox Noises*
*Ethan realizes the small fox is looking at the fish.* "You want some, here *Stretches out a arm with a fish towards the fox*. *Grabs the fish and lays it's small body down to eat* 'At least I am not the only one alone out here. Wait maybe I can take this little guy with and make him my pet?' "Hey little guy. *Small fox looks up at Ethan* You want to travel with me *Stretches out hand towards the fox only for it to lightly bite his hand.* That wasn't very, *Bright flash comes from the top of Ethan's hand and blinds him a little.* nice? Ok let me again, Do you want to follow me little guy?" *The fox squeaks and a few seconds later inside his head he hear "Y.es".*
'Ok that answers my question.' *The fox after finishing the fish proceeds to jump on Ethan's lap and falls asleep fairly quick.* "Well good night pal." *Ethan looks at the Omnitrix and sees that is still flashing blue, but it seems to have slowed down each blue flash.* 'It seems I still have a bit to go, but this is only the beginning.

AN: I hoped you enjoyed this chapter. It took me a little longer as I had to research a few things and take my ACT test the other day, but I should start releasing chapters faster. The schedule will probably be one chapter Monday, one Thursday, and maybe Saturday. Have a great day!
