Bloodhound gang

'Please be okay,' Aster pleaded with all of his heart.

'Stupid, stupid, why the fuck did I forget information like that? Fuck'

He ran with all of his might and his energy was decreasing considerably.

He kept running and eventually found a police barricade and jumped past it.

He kept running, following the signal of the contract.

Eventually, he saw something that made his heart freeze. The hotel was burning and there were people fighting on the field next to it.

He saw at least 2 corpses and a woman about to be killed. She was one of the hunters he had hired.

'Then that means, the corpses I saw were the other two?'

He felt guilty and became even guiltier when he saw the miserable condition the hunter was in and the terrified expression of his family.

He identified 3 people in blood red clothes and his anger boiled. Two of them were surrounding the woman and a guy with a staff was walking towards his family.

[A Quest has arrived]

He ignored the quest and launched three slashes of wind with [Gale cutter], one aimed at each of them.

The person with a staff, presumably a mage, avoided the attack due to his excellent mana sense and the swordsman blocked the attack with his reflexes. However, the assassin wasn't so lucky.

With his attention fully focused on the female hunter, the wind attack hit him from the behind with such great force that he got vertically cut in half.

The assassin was assassinated before he knew it.

For a moment everyone was stunned.

Aster was stunned because he was staring at the drops he got and the bloodhound gang members became stunned because a random kid came and killed one of them.

The swordsman was the first to break out of his daze and rushed to Aster, trying to cut him into a thousand tiny pieces. Aster unsummoned the blue holographic screen and launched another two wind slashes at him.

The swordsman then swung his sword horizontally, somehow destroying the magic attack without losing his momentum and approached Aster with great speed.

"Too weak!" he roared and laughed.

Aster picked up his sword and slashed at him, to which he responded by breaking his sword with a single slash and proceeding to punch Aster in the gut.

Aster was sent tumbling by the attack but he got up, picked up his daggers from his belt and cross slashed in quick succession. The intermediate dagger mastery was showing it's effects.

The swordsman blocked his attack but he didn't break his weapons like before as he was stupefied.

'He's clearly a mage with that wind attack but how can he shrug off my hit like that and attack with this much force?' he thought in disbelief. 'He must be a relatively higher level than me then, a kid who properly invested all of his points equally. Only a rich spoiled kid could be that dumb. Hah! He fights like one too. If it's a incompetent brat like that then I can beat him even if he's a level 100!'

Only if he knew Aster was at level 7. He gets one attribute point per attribute every time he levels up. That means he got 42 attribute points in total from just leveling up. Add 18 on top of that along with 30 points he got from absorbing soul fragments. In total he got about 90 attribute points which is equivalent to Level 30 D rank awakened.

While Aster was fighting with the swordsman, the mage observed them calmly.

'That's the boy the boss ordered to capture. Appraisal!' He calmly thought. But then his eyes widened beyond what was scientifically possible. He appraised all of his traits and skills. Thankfully, the unique skill was not visible to him as it was being hid by the greatest thing in Aster's arsenal.

"You idiot! Don't kill him!" He shouted as the swordsman stabbed Aster in his right shoulder.

"What the fuck are you spewing? He killed Jake!" He roared back, temporarily diverting his attention away from Aster.

He took this opportunity and stabbed him in the neck, killing him.

Aster lost.

He was already worn out and there was one remaining.

He was injured and his hp and energy was decreasing extremely fast but nevertheless he stood up and faced the mage.

Before he could do anything though, the mage fired a paralysis spell along with a sleeping spell and he plunged into slumber.

Aster woke up feeling sore all over his body.

He was in a room that resembled... no, it was a prison cell.

Aster expected this much, he was an earthling who killed 2 people after all. He got up and saw his family in separate cells next to his.

A system notification was heard.

'I will see them later, I need to do something' he thought.

In front of his cell was a big bulky man. He was bald and he had a tattoo of red dog on his head, he wore all red, a bit lighter color than what the attackers wore.

He opened his mouth and Aster saw that his teeth were imbedded with blood red jewels.

"Welcome to your personal hell, brat" He smiled.

But Aster did not pay attention to him, he was already using [True sight] to analyze his situation and [Inscribe] and [Erase] to tinker with his memories.

He found out that the dude was called Baub, very similar to the earth name Bob, and that he was quite a high ranking individual in the gang, only second to the leader. The leader was currently out, Aster suspected he might be giving a personal report to Blake.

Aster then messed with his memories and made it Baub's life mission to serve Aster.

He did not feel any guilt doing this nor did it felt wrong. He had deemed Baub was an irredeemable piece of shit. He did not feel guilt when killing the 2 gang members either. In his eyes, they stopped being humans the second they decided to become something they currently are so he was doing Gaia a favor by killing these pests.

'At least human waste can be turned into a fertilizer, I will make sure to make this guy fertilizes me... Wait'

You have to understand, Aster's brain gets mushed every time he uses his unique skills.

Deeming that he needed rest, he gave Baub a few orders.

First, put his family in the same cell as him. Thanks to some ungrateful fuck, they were hellbent on torturing him and his family. He can't allow that.

Second, give him as many monster cores he could in secret.

Third, order his men to get away from the cell. They were at least 10 different guards watching over the cell.

Fourth, report everything that happens outside and in the gang.

Fifth, give him a bunch of poison, toxin, stimulant and depressants. Aster needed to prepare and acquiring bunch of resistances and leveling them up is a good way to prepare.

Finally, the sixth order, spar with Aster as much as possible. He needed to gain combat experience and increase his proficiencies.

While Blake and the bloodhound gang leader believed that Aster was confined in the gang's headquarters being tortured, he would use it's resources to gain strength quickly.
