Omnipotent Odyssey

Omniscience; the ability to know and understand everything, everyone and all there is to both existence and nonexistence. Omnipotence; the ability to do anything both sensible or not. It is the capability and authority to do as one please when one pleases. However, do these two really grant freedom as one expects. My name is David Stone, I am nigh-omnipotent and nigh-Omniscient. However, I do not think I am free. Responsibility is a bitch. ××××××××××× You can read ahead on my patreon @patreon.com/Ink_Verse

Hunting an Elder God

"David?" a voice called out in shock.

Without turning, David already knew who it was but didn't bother to face her. To Jean, they appeared human, but they weren't, and even if they were, it wouldn't change a thing.

"What is your name?" David asked, pointing at one of them.

"Lilia Calderu, my lord," the lady replied.

"Ah, the gypsy queen. I have a new, glorious purpose for you and your coven. Do you accept?" David said as he squatted to their level.

Looking at the lady he had just interfered with, David didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He may be omniscient, but he wasn't suited to do any of the teaching.

Wanda would need a teacher, and who better than these people, who had good intentions toward her? Besides, he saw this as a suitable payment because what would take place after this scene would hit her harder than it would her witch friends.

"I accept, my lord," Lilia answered.

"Excellent. Come to this place in a week. Accommodation and food will be guaranteed. Payment should be good, even if you ladies don't need it, but from next week, you shall work as teachers of magic to my children—and her," David said before rubbing his forehead.

Charles was affecting him a little more than he thought. He was developing a savior complex... or had the complex always been there but was only showing itself recently?

"Thank you, my lord," the group said.

Lilia had no idea what was going on, but she knew one thing: she couldn't go against the man before her, even with their combined powers or that of the Serpent Crown.

They couldn't win this. She also knew that this being cared for Wanda for some reason, and above all, they had found favor in this being's eyes.

"Good. Now recreate that circle again; I need to talk to a bastard," David said.

"My lord?" Lilia asked, confused.

"You all were trying to initiate her before, weren't you? Continue... there's a bastard I'm after."

"Yes, my lord," Lilia answered, still confused, but they went about preparing for the initiation ritual.

"What are you doing? How could you kill them so easily?" Jean shouted in anger.

"Jean? They aren't human," David said.

"What?" the girl replied, confused.

"Humanity is not the only race in existence, and those two are demons now," David explained.

"Oh... but what are you doing?"

"Doing the multiverse a favor. Take care of her for now; I'll be back soon," David said as he went to oversee the preparations for the ritual.

Turning back, Jean saw the young girl, who looked to be around the same age as her, lying unconscious on the floor. Jean couldn't lie to herself—she was curious about who the girl was.

This entire thing was because of her, and what did David mean by doing the multiverse a favor?

"Why does he have to meddle in everything that exists?"

Soon, the ritual circle was completed, and the now-conscious Wanda was placed back inside. Unlike earlier, though, the witches weren't taking center stage in this ritual—David was.

He had no plans to initiate her into anything; however, he also didn't have permission to enter another god's realm. The Flickering Realms weren't a place for a being such as him.

With that in mind, he planned to lure the Chaos Elder God to him. Chthon needed Wanda, as she was his only means of escape from the Flickering Realms.

He needed to mark her to have any chance of taking over her body. After all, his domain was shared between them, and Wanda had the greater number of shares. In business terms, it meant that she owned the domain—Chaos.
