Sou's face turned to gloom as he gathered elemental mana of Lightning at his soles, turning his soles in radiant blue.

<Humans tend to infatuate themselves with things that can give them power or a sense of superiority. Those girls probably thought I had some kind item which allowed me kill those guys... and they wanted monopolize for themselves.>

<As expected of Master's intuition.>

(Sub-space.)

A homing sound rang inside Sou's ears as he summoned his dagger from the void space. Sou bent down a little and took one of his legs back, assuming a position that runners take before running. The lightning gathered at his soles started to fluctuate aggressively.

<What are you going to do now, Master?>

<Escape. >

Boom!

Swoosh!

Sou kicked off with lightning trails following his back. With every step, he gained extra speed because of the zapping lightning at his soles, which ultimately led to him gaining extra force.

<With Master's strength, I am pretty sure Master can break through the Mansion's walls. Why bother with weaklings?>

"Hey! Stop there!"

Five guards wearing heavy armour stood at his path with their shields erected, taking up an arrow-formation to block Sou's path.

Sou smirked looking at the four men as he closed the distance.

"How am I supposed to miss such an opportunity to get strong? After all, I am also a human."

While running, Sou raised his left arm towards the guard who was standing in the middle and used Mana's Authority on him, covering the man in mana, squeezing him tightly until blood burst out from his skin and mouth.

Sou quickly dispersed the mana around the man and gathered an absurd amount of mana around the guard's armoured neck like a coil binding something thick. Sou jerked his arm backwards, pulling the mana coil along with the guard. Since the amount of mana was greater, the strength required to pull the absurd amount of mana along with the well-built man was also great, but because of the points he invested in strength in his fight with the 'scum' group, no one could rival his strength at the moment.

The man came flying towards Sou's hand, which was clenched tightly into a fist.

"UWAAAHH!!"

Just before the guard's neck made contact with Sou's fist, Sou released the mana coil used the dispersed mana to reinforce his clenched fist. The white mana engulfed Sou's fist and he drove the punch.

Bam!

The reinforced fist, along with the extra force and his unrivalled strength, broke through the armour covering the guard's neck.

Crack!

The sound of his neck breaking made its way to everyone's ears.

Boom!

The guard was sent flying to a huge door which they were guarding. The door broke down and fell, making a loud noise, enough to alarm everyone in the mansion.

"What is happening here?!" the Lord's wife came running to the scene along with two maids, one with brunette hair and the other with black hair, who obediently stood beside her. Rina saw the guard lying listlessly and then glared at Sou who was opening and closing his palm.

(Those are not normal maids...)

"You...! How did you escape?!"

"With guards like those brutes, anyone can escape."

Rina gritted her teeth and clenched her fists to show her anger.

"You two! Go and assist the guards!" Rina scoffed at the two maids. while giving a scornful look to Sou.

"As you wish, Miss Rina."

The maids bowed to Rina and suddenly took out a pair of daggers and rushed towards Sou with killing intent.

The brunette maid passed the other and swung her daggers, intending to slice of Sou's face. Seeing their speed, Sou backed off a little and limboed to dodge the incoming daggers by hair's breadth.

As soon as the daggers passed by his face, the brunette maid jumped over Sou and the other maid delivered a kick, aiming for Sou's guts.

Sou kicked his right leg upwards, resulting in his body spinning in mid-air, evading the kick. Sou threw his dagger, accelerated by mana, at the brunette maid who was also advancing towards Sou. She tilted her body slightly and the dagger passed by her ear, piercing a wall a bit.

"Tch!"

She didn't stop her advance and rushed towards Sou who just landed and attempted to slash Sou's chest. Sou quickly summoned his sword from the Sub-space and swung it at the dagger before they could reach him, making the daggers fly away.

When Sou was engaged with the brunette maid, the black-haired was chanting a spell.

Sou quickly looked at the black-haired maid who was still chanting.

(Chance!)

Sou used Mana's Authority on the stuck dagger and threw it towards the black-haired maid who was focussed on the chanting. The brunette maid grabbed her daggers off the ground and threw one of them towards Sou. Sensing the dagger coming towards him, Sou quickly clad the dagger in white mana to reduce its momentum to some extent.

(Tch! It's hard to use Mana's Authority on two objects simultaneously!)

Sou's dagger went through the black-haired maid's throat while the brunette's dagger pierced his right leg.

"Guh!"

The brunette maid rushed towards him, without caring for her comrade and swung her dagger at Sou, but this time he could not defend or dodge the attack, as a result, the dagger slashed through his arm, inflicting great damage and excruciating pain.

"Gahh!!"

Pain spread in his body and he could no longer feel his injured arm.

Sou knelt to the floor, holding his cut arm tightly.

"You idiots! What are you waiting for? Now is your chance! Go and kill that boy! I must have his mana!" Rina shouted at the guards who were dumbfounded by what was unfolding in front of them.

"Y-Yes, Miss Rina!"

The guards took up their swords and charged towards the fallen Sou.

"Heh... fools..."

Boom!

An explosion occurred where Sou was kneeling which sent everyone flying. Sou stood up. His eyes burned with fuming flames along with his weapons and hands.

"With my Adrenaline raised, I can finally use it."

A smirk appeared on Sou's face.

"Eyes of Destruction."

The flames spread and the temperature shot up to an extreme degree. The walls started to melt. Rena and the others were gasped for air while Sou seemed to be unbelievably fine in these piping flames. Sou just casually made his way through the blazes.

"First, the pests."

Sou appeared in front of one of the guards out of nowhere and drove his burning dagger through the guard's chin and then swung the dagger sideways, leaving the guard's chin hanging. As the man dropped dead, Sou shifted his glance towards the other guards and used the 'Eyes of Destruction' as it was meant to be used- to burn people to ashes. The guards screamed in agony as their armour melted and flesh reduced to nothing but ash.

Sou glared at the brunette whose expressionless face turned into a horrified one.

The flames in the surrounding slowly circled the maid before completely swallowing the maid. She also screamed, begged to spare her life but to no avail.

"That wraps up the pests... Now for the main one..."

Sou death-glared Rina who was shivering because of the presence of the little devil.

"Kyaa!" She fell to the hot floor, still shivering in fear as she watched Sou tread his way over the burned bodies.

"S-Stay away you monster! I-I am the wife of a Lord! You cannot do anything to me!"

She paused for a while before opening her mouth again.

"Yes! The mana of the dead!"

The mana of the people Sou finished off started to gather inside iena. As Sou saw the mana being extracted with his fiery eyes, his brain was flooded with different structures and his vision changed.

(What?)

Several particle-like structures bonded to each other, moving and gathering at a single point of a figure. After a few seconds of experiencing the new vision, his vision became normal suddenly and he saw that the figure was none other than Rina.

(Mana Extraction, huh...)

Finding something valuable, Sou no more waited for Rina to finish her thing and raised two swords lying on the floor using Mana's Authority and flew them towards Rina's face.

Squish! Schwing!

The sword simultaneously pierced her face and she fell to the ground, showing no more movements.

All the flames which surrounded Sou died and his body started to feel the backlash.

"Ugh!"

Sou slowly sat down and leaned against a wall that survived the melting heat.

As he sat there, healing himself using Mana Manipulation, he shifted his eyes towards the burned bodies of the maids.

"Heh..."
