Cassandra smiled gently at Ivy, then turned to her son with sparkling eyes that made Jayde snort in exasperation. Her mother must have known why he had come so late at night and brought Ivy with him. For a long time his mother wanted a future wife. And now is the time for Jayde to introduce his future wife to his mother.
"Finally brought a woman to this house. What's your name?"
"Ivy Milano. Thank you for welcoming me. I feel touched."
"Don't be shy. Come on inside. I'll make you both a cup of green tea. You've come a long way from Cleveland."
"Thanks," Ivy said nervously.
Jayde pushed her shoulder into the immaculately clean and well-maintained cabin. There is a set of brown sofas in the living room and jars of cookies on the table. Cassandra acted as a gracious host and offers Ivy homemade cookies which are arranged in cute glass jars.
"Jayde, you didn't tell me that Ivy is way prettier than any photos you ever showed me."
