The sound of his footsteps pounding, echoed throughout the lonely hospital hallway. It was eight in the evening, and he was crazily running from the lobby to the fifth floor hallway of the hospital, where his wife had just given birth this morning.
"Honey, sorry I'm late."
Jayde was out of breath. But he didn't stop to just take a breath in the doorway. He immediately ran over to his wife who was sitting on the gurney with a weary face because of exhaustion.
"I'm sorry I couldn't accompany you to give birth to our child."
When Jayde offered a hug, Ivy wasted no time and snuggled into Jayde's arms. She sighed softly, relieved to see her husband around again.
"Was the birth difficult?"
"No. The delivery is very easy. Your mother and my mother were in the delivery room to accompany me to give birth. Everything is very fast."
"Oh thank goodness."
