Chapter 20- Taking first steps now.

Waving his hands firmly with a pout on his face Zen bid goodbye to his Omega.

Symon was there. Standing there, waving too. Just a bit less effort into his short wave compared to his pouty Alpha brother.

"So, are we planning to stay here?"

"No... let's go, I want this time to pass soon, I want to see my omega soon."

Is every Alpha this eager for their Omega? Are they so eager that they forget their usual selves and act like fools? Is the mate bond that powerful that it changed my always calm and collected brother into this Golden retriever boy who waits impatiently till his mate arrives?

My Alpha acted like a fool the whole day too? Didn't she? Just to get my approval? Yet. Yet I hurt her. Words pierce more than swords don't they? I made her feel insecure and imperfect the whole day, didn't I? Gosh. Why would I do that? Is my anger still valid? Is her one mistake significant enough for me to punish her this long for it? It's been three years...

Finally deciding to try to be kind and give a chance to his Alpha, Symon came out of the shower and slept, still a bit fidgety.

"Good morning my shark"

"Good morning, where are you headed?"

"The HQ, then the office. You wanna come to the HQ?"

"No, I will make lunch for my Alpha...With the help of maids, of course, just my recipes, nothing else" said Riki, asking Thea to let him get away with it and not give him 'the look'

"Okay, call me when you have finished making lunch."

"Thea, should I apologize to Mr. Symon? I was way out of line yesterday... Can I pack him his lunch, if you agree?"

"Well, no need to apologize. He apologized yesterday, and I acknowledged his apology on your behalf. And offered an apology too. Still, if you want, you can..."

"Yo--you apologized? That's quite big. Ms. DARAA!! Thea APOLOGIZED."

However far Ms. Dara was, she rushed into the room huffing and puffing.

"Young Miss, WHAT NOW?"

"SHE APOLOGIZED."

When she saw her face, the lips on Ms. Dara's mouth burst open as she faked her fall.

Giving Riki and Ms. Dara a look, she headed out of the room with her bag and decided to start her day.

"What's wrong with apologizing to your mate? And when do I refuse to apologize?"

Entering the HQ, she asked for her assistant who came rushing in.

"Quick answer me, do I look like someone who is rude enough to not apologize?" she asked, glaring.

"Uh.."

"Quick I said!!"

"No ma'am, you are not that rude. Just scary and cold, as you should be. It is impossible to handle a business this big if you don't have boundaries and are not scary," replied her assistant, after he ensured that his words were true enough for his life not to be at risk.

Nodding her head, she entered her cabin.

"Get me all the reports right now. I don't have time. Bring me my juice and breakfast, followed by coffee, coffee in a travel mug."

"Yes ma'am. On it."

Once she receives the reply, she begins checking all the documents he has already kept. She signs all of them while breakfast arrives and then leaves after filling her stomach.

It is at 10 a.m. that she enters the corporation, to see her mate surrounded by Alphas. Some have their heads down while some have lust in their eyes while he orders and scolds them.

"Are you sure this is what I asked for? Change everything. What have you been doing here? Get me that file from the archives. All the files should be on my table as soon as it's lunchtime."

She watches as they all scatter away when he gives them all a glare. Moving towards her mate, she bows her head.

"Good Morning Sir, is there anything you need?"

"Good morning!"

No, find your team leader. He was asking for you in the morning meeting"

"Okay, Sir," she says, bowing to him, being professional.

Earlier in the meeting--

"Sir, we have completed the changes you asked for. The legal team is working on the terms and conditions. But we can't get in touch with the man you met yesterday. His signs and all are finished but he is yet to send someone from his firm to check it all once before the installation."

Symon says, recalling that rude alpha, "You should ask his senior for it, he is not a priority for us."

" Yes sir, and sir we couldn't get in touch with Miss Thea either. While we received all the work, there are still a few clauses that need to be amended. When she comes, we will forward you all the material," said the team leader.

"Just entered the corporation and is already lagging off, what a bitch" whispered one of the legal team members to another who agreed with a smirk and said

"I don't think she will last like this"

Symon heard it. Symon heard that from Omega. He had sharpened his skills quite well. Getting angered by how they addressed his mate, he walked up to the members and raised his eyebrows.

"Did you say something?"

"No sir"

"Good, keep mum if you don't have relevant things to say," he says, standing up nodding to the people in the conference, and taking his leave, while still glaring at the gossipers.

"Are you sure he is an Omega? How can he hear my whisper?"

"Shut up, we don't want to be on his wrong side."

Now--

"Sir, you asked for me?"

"First of all, why are you late?" the team leader asked, trying to intimidate her.

What a joke he is.

"I live far away and there was traffic," she replies with a straight face.

"Okay, don't think I will let you go next time if you are late."

"Yes"

"Yes, what?"

"Yes sir"

"Okay, now coming to the topic, we have to alter a few clauses in the file you mailed yesterday "

"OK sir"

"Find out what happened to that Alpha who we met yesterday" he ordered on the call

"Yes Sir Symon"

"Zen, open the door," Riki shouted as he reached the cabin from the back door.

Rushing to open the door for his Omega, he hugged him as soon as he caught sight of him. While holding his Omega, he carefully removed the lunch from his hand.

"I missed you SO MUCH."

Chuckling at his big Alpha, he replies " I missed you too, My big baby"

The Alpha lifted his mate and placed him on his desk just to scent him with his scent while taking in his Omega's scent.

"Let's eat, yeah?"

"Have you had your lunch?"

"Not yet"

"Okay, let's feed you"

"I am not a baby to be fed." huffs Riki

"You are my baby, love"

Riki froze upon hearing that. Sure he was babied by his remaining family but this was different. He now had a love interest- a mate. For the rest of his life, he now belonged to his mate and his mate belonged to him. Forever, until their last breath.

"I love you" he blurted out. Sincerely.

"I love you too, sweetheart," Zen says, closing the distance between them.
