Chapter 16- Estranged Mate and Injured sister?

"Miss Suzuki, you aren't finished yet? Did you receive a punishment or something? It's already too late" chuckled one of her colleagues watching how she had been glued to her desk since she returned from the meeting.

"No.. not yet, Mr.Perri asked me to review some old files... Hopefully, I finish before eight" she said smiling a bit as she crossed her fingers in front of her male colleague.

"I wish you the very best, Miss Thea" saying this the colleague left, leaving her alone on that floor.

Riki was brought to their apartment by his mate, and even though he wanted to stay, she just assigned him the task- the one she meant to handle. And she will, he just has to bring him to their base. She knew letting him go alone was risky, but it was a chance to see how well his mate is going able take care of him, and she didn't want to be a third wheel on their supposed "Evening date " as Riki quoted to her as soon as she entered their department, swooning over how his mate's deep laugh made his anger perish off.

She has yet to tell her brother about the incidents, which she knows he will need full details about, so she postponed it. She needs to finish her work soon, and being selfish, she wants to see her mate before leaving. Hopefully not with extreme emotions surfacing this time like they did earlier today.

"Miss!? Miss Suzuki?! Miss Strange Alpha?! THEA!" came the riled-up voice of her mate. Her Mate!?

Standing up, she frantically looked around, only to be met with Dark Blue Eyes, once she turned back. Gulping, she bowed her head and apologized.

You are always in your thoughts, why? Isn't it 7 p.m. already? Deliver the files and all the work I asked you to do, in 30 minutes. By eight, we need to return the files we took from the archive room this morning and leave the office." He said it all at once, without giving his mate even the chance to respond.

"O-Okay, okay..." she says as he finishes and turns around to pick up some files, "Here, these are already reviewed and only 2 files are left--which will take 25 minutes approx., do you want these now, or with the two at last?" taking the files, with widened eyes- obviously impressed, the omega leaves without answering, leaving his alpha mate with her 25 minutes.

Finishing off her two files, she walked over to Symon's Office- hands full with files and walking barefoot so as not to fall and embarrass herself.

"Yes, come in."

"Oh, you are done... Put the files on that shelf and the reviewed work on my table."

As she picks up the files, she says "Okay, Let's go to the Archives," not wanting her omega to handle anything.

"Do you want any help, Alpha?" he says while raising an eyebrow.

"Wha-No... Mr. Perri, please lead the way..." she says, too shocked to answer.

"Gosh, he will be the death of us, won't he Axel?"

"My Kazuto is as sweet as a pie, he's just so lovely and fluffy-- I don't know about your human but my baby wolfie will surely be" answers her wolf who is totally whipped for the omega that has his heart.

The human and her Wolf are both gone. Following her omega once again, the alpha breathes deeply as to take her Omega's scent- head still high and ears on alert.

"Keep those there and leave. It's already late."

"Aren't you coming? We do have the same destination..."

"I have to visit someone on the way- Don't Try to be nosy." came her omega mate's cold voice. Shrugging her shoulders, she kept the files and left turning to look once at her omega.

"Riki? Are you home yet? Have you finished what I asked?"

After a pause between each yes, the reply came, "Yes, no, and yes".

"Okay, I will visit the Center. wait for me..."

"What about dinner?"

"Will ask Ms.Dara to cook it, do you want to have the homemade food? Should I bring it?"

"As for my dinner, Zen cooked it at his apartment and we had it together..." he said in a not-so-confident manner- shying away while giggling.

"Riki, please tell me your mate is aware of your allergies and restrictions," said she sighingly

"Yes, he does know..." came an instant reply, slowing at its end.

"Okay, good.."

"Thea... something happened on my way to the HQ, after dinner..." Riki said hesitantly.

"mmhm.. what happened?" asked his sister.

"I may have gotten a fractured hand while fighting some rogues... I don't know what it is yet-- the doctors at the HQ are done checking me and I am waiting for the results..."

"Who attacked? Our trainers or some other gang?"

"Well, WE were attacked on our date by our trainers- but my Alpha is very well trained and handled 5 of them, while I handled 2 of them. It was someone else who attacked me alone, possibly breaking my arm - they had a G.Z tattoo on their wrist... finding which gang had that tattoo, it turned out to be the ZICO G's," said the Omega, who was a bit furious at their involvement.

"Why would you send our trainers this early? We had an EVENING DATE, and my Alpha was walking around the streets and our trainers attacked. He was so furious and upset that I had to see his mad side. You know, it took a lot of convincing to even get out of the apartment. " said the Omega suddenly.

"I am sorry, but it was needed. Let's meet and talk at HQ. Yeah? I will be there in 10 minutes. Can you ask Aunt to bring some food?"

"Yes, come safely."

"Haven't you left yet?" a voice asked from behind her.
