𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐑𝐔𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐍 hit Zion's cheek when Hunter's fist collided with his cheek. He cursed himself for not defending his handsome face better - now he would have to face Celeste with that ugly bruise.
He stumbled on the ground of the rink but got up instantly, not giving Hunter a chance to attack him with his legs.
This championship was important for him since he needed the money now more than ever. For a month he had been practicing for it and there was no space for loss. He hadn't even spent much time with Celeste and his brother. Meeting Ryan was like a ritual for him, so he was there for him every day. But with his and Celeste's busy schedule, all they could do is sleep in each other's arms and have breakfast together.
He missed her voice and her smile.
He just wanted to spend eternity with her.
A painful kick in the stomach snaps him from his thoughts and his attention gets back to the opponent in front of him. Zion loathed Hunter with all his heart.
"Are you ready to lose, Noah? I am pretty sure that tonight the only one out of the both of us who will be eating a delicious pussy will be me. Damn, I can't wait for Celeste to spread her legs for me!" Hunter chuckles out.
Hunter had always underestimated Zion, mainly because of his manly ego and the fact that Zion tried to play as much civil as possible. But when he says shit like that, there was no way he was going to stay silent as he fully planned on replying to Hunter in the only language he ever understood - the language of fists.
His blood boiled as he replayed Hunter's dirty words in his mind, it riled him more.
The crowd in the complex went wild and chanted Zion's name - making the adrenaline rush into his blood faster. With murder in his mind, he pounced on Hunter.
Knowing Hunter's weakness, he kicked him on his left leg, causing him to stumble down. He didn't wait for him to get up as he grabbed his face and then hit his chin with his knee. Blood splattered from his mouth as Zion punched him on the face with his hand.
They had been fighting for about fifteen minutes now, so it was the time that this comes to an end. Hunter tried to defend himself by shielding his body with his hands but Zion wasn't having it. This bastard was going to lose hard.
He trapped Hunter's face in between his legs, choking him. Hunter continued to hit with his hands but he wasn't going to let go until he wins. The crowd watched in awe as Hunter's face turned red from suffocation and the referee waited for Hunter to signal his defeat.
As Hunter felt himself lose his senses and was aware that Zion wasn't going to let go of his neck, he banged the floor thrice - declaring his defeat.
And with that, the fight came to an end.
With bloodied face and knuckles, and bruises forming on his stomach and legs Zion screamed in delight and grinned.
Everything was going to be alright now that he had his money.

"𝐈 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐖 that my daughter's boyfriend was a street fighter," Zion heard a voice behind him.
After being bombarded with congratulations and having a nice long bath in the locker room in order to cleanse himself of all the blood and filth, he had changed into his normal clothes of black shirt and jeans and was more than eager to meet with Celeste.
So, this interruption was totally unwelcome.
Zion lifts his eyes to see someone he knew of.
Celeste's father.
He had no idea as to why Mr. Knight was doing here, probably what all the rich assholes were doing - betting on the fighters. It still came like a shock to him since Celeste never liked the arena and he had concluded that the same will be the case of Mr. Knight. The Knight family was considered very elegant and powerful, so finding Mr. Knight in a street fight arena was unusual.
"I have the tendency to surprise everyone, Mr. Knight. What brings you here?" Zion asked.
He didn't particularly like Celeste's father. Although his image was mainly based on how Celeste described him, Mr. Knight was a man who cheated on his wife who loved him with all her heart that his unfaithfulness drove her to suicide. That reason was enough for Zion to despise Celeste's father with every cell of his being.
Zion had although, respected the businessman in Mr. Knight. The way he had handled his company was exceptional and he had inwardly wished that he could be as successful at the villain standing in front of him one day.
"Curiosity brings me to you, young lad. You should be courting my daughter, not fighting. But then with your history, I expected nothing less," Mr. Knight replied.
That caused Zion to grit his teeth and ball his fist - of course, Mr. Knight ran a background check on him.
"My history had nothing to do with you, sir. Now, I need to be somewhere," Zion says as he grabs his phone and bag to take his leave. He can't stand the sight of that monster at all.
"Have you ever thought if you are capable enough for Celeste?" Mr. Knight asks him a question out of the blue.
Zion takes a halt, the question had hit him in the heart.
"Of course, I have. Every single day of my life. Why do you care?" Zion asks, turning to face the man.
The way the gray eyes of the man sparked when Zion gave him the reply he was looking for was dangerous.
"She is my daughter and heir to the business, Noah. Of course, I care. Celeste is just like her mother and even if I failed to be a good husband to her mother, I don't want to be a failure to Celeste as a father. So, I have something for you," Mr. Knight says.
Zion listens to him carefully. He knew that he might be walking onto a bed of thorns, but he wanted to be good enough for Celeste. Come what may.
Sensing Zion's attention on him, Mr. Knight continued.
"You see, the Knights are the boss of this city. No one messes with us. That's not only because we are the lord of business, but also because we know how to rule with our guns. The Knights have been the most dangerous mafia in the city for years," he said.
The sudden reveal left Zion shocked - Mr. Knight is a don?
The Knights are a part of a mafia?
"The sons get the business from their father. But I was blessed with two daughters. Even though I think Celeste is more than capable to take my place, I don't want her hands to be stained with blood. So, you come into the picture, son," Mr. Knight says.
"I don't kill people, sir," he says.
He might fight but killing innocents was never his intention. Having lost his own family, he knew the pain of losing their loved ones and he never wished the same for anyone else.
"Boy, if you want to be the Alpha in this world of wolves, you need to teach them how to obey. And if they don't understand it with words, then we let the guns do the talking. You have a lot of potentials, lad. Think about the money and power that might come with it. Think about the things you could give Celeste. You will never have to worry about how you are going to worry about paying your brother's hospital bill," Mr. Knight said.
And Zion believed him. It sounded insane but he knew that being a don has its privileges. He would never be Mr. Knight but he could be the great Noah Zion Black. Celeste would no longer need to spend her money on him, rather he would be the one taking care of her. He would be the one offering the entire world at her feet.
He would be good for her.
Better for her than Jason.
"When do I start?" Zion asks, his hesitation drifting away.
He is doing this for Celeste, he reminded himself.
For Celeste.
