Chapter 6 - The Region’s Guardians

The Continent of Jide has 5 regions. The north, south, east, west and lastly the central region which is the largest region, even if the other 4 regions were to be combined it could not compare the central region. The central region is where the Capital City and the palace where the Emperor is at.

A few days ago a merchant passed the area where the battle against the bandit happened fortunately the merchant reported what they saw. The entire green land were covered with blood the beautiful scenery was tainted by rotting bodies.

The army from the Southern Region have arrived at the location reported by the merchants. The army is consisted of 2 Region Guardians and 50 cavalries. They are familiar with the scent of blood and dead bodies so they weren't that affected but what troubled them was that they were brutally slaughtered, there were signs of torture even.

"Check the cabin" Ordered the old man who was the 6th regional guardian. The southern region has 10 regional guardian and the ranking is from the lowest to highest number.

The one who came today is the 6th and the 9th guardian.

""Yes!"" The soldiers replied in unison as they went to the cabin. After searching the cabin thoroughly they noticed a trap door below the bed so they called the guardians. What they saw after opening was a woman who was sleeping while holding a sword, her skin was so dirty and her face was dry for some reason.

The 9th guardian went forward, she looked at the woman below looking for any injuries or any unusual signs.

"Her face is so dry, she must have cried a lot" the 9th Guardian said, her name is Sarah.

"Sarah, any report?" The 6th guardian is called Maverick. He was superior to Sarah so Sarah must report to Maverick at times.

"There is a woman here hiding so we're going to fetch her out and interrogate her after she wakes up."

Unexpectly Milia woke up. After explaining everything and seeing Dravi and Dave's outcome, she cried until she cried blood. Yes she cried true blood. The soldiers sympathizes with her after all if you are in her situation you would do the same. Imagine seeing your husband's body being impaled on the ground although the body is rotting away she recognizes her husband even though his arms were severed he knows its him, as for his son's rotting body that had 3 swords impaled all over with a big cut on his neck, even with rotting body she hugged her son.

"If the two of them died then who killed the bandits?" Said the Maverick. He was puzzled as the others suddenly Sarah went to Milia and asked few question. After discovering that someone came at their place before the bandits arrived, the guardians speculate that the person was the one who could have killed the bandits or he was related to the bandits coming here.

After investigating the entire area and finding no clues anymore they left bringing Milia with them, they went straight towards the south region's capital. A few kilometers a way from them on the top of a mountain stood a man with black coat fluttering with the wind, he stared at the region guardians. Yes he was capable of looking from such distance.

"Where should I go next?" Custos thought before putting it at the back of his head.

"Never mind, i'll just go head straight from here. Traveling is simple you go from point A to point B, simple!" He added. He was climbing a tall mountain that almost reached the clouds. This world is 10 times larger than earth so the mountains were taller as well.

Somewhere in the continent, on a large lake a castle could be seen in the middle of the lake.

There was no light inside the castles but you could hear people walking. Inside the castle in a secluded room with a long oval table sat 12 people, their face covered by darkness but their eyes shone brightly, dark red yet they emit a noble aura.

A voice resounded. "It seems someone from the table allowed there descendant to roam free without consulting the council."

A voice replied "We must apprehend this vile descendant to dare take our rules lightly!"

"Indeed. That child must be taught a lesson, what say you, 7th Elder?" A feminine voice asked mockingly.

The 7th elders cheek muscles twitched abruptly as he replied "I will go out and apprehend that brat myself"

"Ohoh, do you fear that one of us might send someone to eliminate your descendant?" Replied the woman who was naturally the 6th elder.

Naturally the smaller the number the stronger the vampire, so the 6th elder is more powerful than the 7th in terms of battle prowess.

"Insolence, is that a threat!?." The 7th elder slaps the table as he stood, his red eyes emits deadly aura.

"Hahaha, if you think of it that way then it is a threat" the 6th replied without fear as she turned her eyes to the 7th.

"Can you keep it quite, you fools" a voice reverberated inside the room. When they heard the voice they instantly went quite.

"Go get your descendant, 7th Elder or must I do it myself?" The man from the high throne said. The 7th elder was scared as he instantly replied to the one who sat on the high throne.

"Forgive this lowly being, my lord. I will go get that brat myself!" The 7th elder replied respectfully. The man who sat on the high throne waved his hands signaling for the man to go. The 7th elder bowed then he suddenly vanish.
