SHARED LOVE Princess Emilia was no longer at ease with how she started behaving since they got back late from their last outing. Trying to talk to her was not helping matters at all and that's the worse it can get to. "Wendy, what's the matter with you? You made me almost got into trouble with my father and you still act like it don't matter to you. Nobody still knew what happened with you on friday and here you are with attitudes?" Emilia said in a very terribly loud tone which attracted the Empress' attention. "Young ladies! What's going on here?" She asked the two girls, with her eyes peering straight at the princess. "Mom, Your royal highness! They both chorused. "Quiet! One at a time. What's the matter? Wendy speak first". Ruby said. "Your royal highness, On friday we were away, I had the most awful day ever. Someone I love dropped a message for me to help with chores while he was away and would be back soon to spend time with me. I did all I was asked of and more. It was getting late and dark, I still haven't set my eyes on him. I couldn't wait any longer and I went back to the girls. I would have been fine but I saw him with them, beside the Princess and they were laughing, playing and having fun without me. I was so mad that I didn't want to speak to anyone" she said and the Princess was already wild with silent laughter. "So that's it?!!!" the Princess Screamed with laughter. Ruby just looked at the two young women and walked away smiling as she patted Wendy on her head. Ruby knows her daughter so well. She knew the matter was not over yet but the two ladies needs time to sort themselves out. Wendy was a grown girl older than Emily. She was two years older but mentally and character wise, she behaves, think and talk like a 15 year old teen. Maybe this is because she has spent more part of her life growing up with kids whom she looks after. Since she was 10, she has been in royal service. She lost her both parent to a pandemic that ravaged the whole province. Due to the faithfulness of her mother as one of the top royal cooks. After her demise, the emperor took pity on the young girl and decided to bring her into the royal service instead of her roaming the streets, hungry and dirty. Ever since, Wendy has been in the royal service of Blue Dragon Empire. "Wendy? Really, was it because of Mario you ghosted us all? Just so you know my dear Wendy, I have no interest in Mario. I see him as a fun company. No romantic interest. He was just talking to us about his escapades with the circus animals during feeding and training times. Moreover you never told any of us about you two having a thing. I was just hearing it for the first time now." Emily said raising an eyebrow to Wendy, checking if she've got something to say before she continue what she was saying. "It's okay to be in love but do not let yourself be used when you are not sure if whom you love reciprocates the same feeling. Okay?" Princess Emily said holding Wendy's hand. "Okay princess. I need to speak to Mario. I think he is trying to play around with me." Wendy said breaking grip from Emily's hand and walked around the room, trying to calm the anger building up in her. "I totally understand how you feel Wen. I still don't think approaching him would be the best idea. What about we do it this way; I go talk to him and come tell you. Believe me girl, we would definitely know if he truly feels anything for you or not. I know I will find out something for sure. Just be calm." Emily said, walking out of the room and towards the exit door of the building, going out to find Tania who would accompany her to meet Mario. By the way, Wendy really did a professional job in there putting up a clever show. She never met Mario and was never in love with him. She was only trying to buy herself some time to do what she wants to do with the major. Their plot is to create an incident that would publicly disgrace the Princess and bring her honour to naught and it has to be done publicly; so as to convert the minds of the subjects who has already believed in her being the heir to start doubting their beliefs. Wendy has a kid brother who was adopted as soon as he was born to the church to grow there. There was no sufficient resources to take care of multiple children but the proper reason for his parents giving him out for adoption was because of the ongoing pandemic hitting the whole corners of Blue Dragon. Unfortunately, they died but their children survived. All the time Wendy goes out to see the acclaimed love of her life, she visits her brother in the church and bring in food items to support his feeding. He was 15 at the time. 4 years younger than Emily. The major had sent in message to Wendy to meet him in an hour time by the Orchid behind his office wall. Just as Emily left, the Major's errand boy came with the message. Emily went with Tania to the circus arena talking about what happened on the previous friday. "To be honest, I never knew she had a thing with Mario." Tania said folding her arm in amusement. "The annoying part of this all is that, Mario who claimed to be our close friend hid it from us. It was not like any of us were showing him any form of private affection. Or were you?"Emily asked Tania who was rubbing her thumb together. "I have asked him once if he likes girls with red hairs. And he said yes. That was the only time I've had a secured private conversation with him. If that makes him feel like i feel anything for him, then he must be very mistaken." Tania said with a glitch of face she did, to show disgust. "Why the look girl? We're here already. Sire, we are looking for Mario..." before she could finish speaking, here is Mario walking stealthily like a tiger trying to sneak up on a prey. "Hey!!!" He said placing his left hand on the shoulder of Emily. "y'all came by today?" he asked holding their hands and leading them away from the old man. "Yea, we did. where went you on the day of our last visit. Emilia asked carefully. "We had been together all day, except for when I went to check my carriage". he answered this honestly. "Okay, did you by any chance set your eyes on wendy?' Emilia asked him, giving him a 'be honest look' Okay, listen. I did not. I only get to back to take care of some important matter. Why do you ask?" Mario asked in awe. "Listen Mario, she came back late that night and was not speaking to any one of us. Now this morning because of my inquisity, i really wanted to know why she has been the way she has been. She was saying you asked her to help you take care of a few things here for a while you were away for an errand. But later came back to us to find you with us after you have promised her to return to her which you never did until it was getting late. She only started coming back home to us was because she did not see you returned and she left". She stopped and watched Mario's facial reaction all these time and suspected that Wendy was lying all these time...
