“Really glad to be here,” said Adam as he kissed Brendan again.

“And that there’s the cement pond,” Brendan said pointing to the swimming pool as he took Adam on a tour of the property.
“You sure get into this hick character don’t you?” Adam said, laughing. Although to be honest Adam didn’t think Brendan looked anything like a hick. He had changed into his ranch clothes and looked every inch the handsome, hunky cowboy in his boots, jeans and cowboy hat. He wore a sleeveless flannel shirt which emphasized the linebacker’s massive upper arms and shoulders. No, this man was no hick. Adam sighed at the thought that he was hisman.
They walked down the lane to the barn. Waldo and Josie greeted them as they passed the pond where a dozen ducks were either swimming or resting quietly on the banks. This time Adam didn’t retreat from the gander’s advances, and the goose, his bluff called, did just as Brendan predicted he would and backed off.
