Other side of the world

"Hmm, are you spacing out, Killi-ya-ma-kun?"

Both their won't take their gleams from each other as if they would go round and round at any moment.

"Masamune Kou, teacher of class 2B, and our homeroom teacher. Even though sheathe within his glasses, the specks of his eyes were all black reflecting the intent to kill me. His affiliation with that mysterious voice shows that he knows something about the death of Hikaru.

"The hypothesis that he is the suspect might be plausible due to the fact that he even include me in their kill list even if I'm just nobody."

All of this thoughts were all being processed in the mind of our protagonist. One is standing up straight at the back of the room and one is in front of a class having 32 students.

The other students can't seem to notice what's happening right that moment.

"You're gonna blow your mind thinking like that, Toby-kun," Hina mumbled out of nowhere.

"Huh?"

"Huh!?", said by the whole class.

The whole class were shocked to what Hina have said despite all of their busyness doing their thing. All of them mumbles to each other on what's happening between Hina and Toby. Calling someone with their given shows the closeness of person are with each other. Commonly, family members and friends use this kind of callings, but in case for them two, Hina is a transfer student who just met the class only yesterday. To have Hina say something like that, then something fishy is going on.

"What's with them?", "Does Amamiya-san knows about this?", " What's between them two?", "*whisper, *whisper."

The boys were turning target locked to Toby while nonstop mumblings and criticism were being thrown to him by the girls.

"Hmm, killing me would be beneficial to them, but... But what are their intentions all along?", Toby said to himself, he's unfazed to what's happening around him nor affected by the mumblings of his classmates. He just continues going eye to eye with Mr. Kou ensuring that he won't gonna slip through his hands.

"Toby Kiriyama," Mr. Kou is having an internal monologue, "a students of mine whom I don't really care about since the start of the school year. I thought he's just another normal student I would be handling this year. Yet I didn't expect that he'll be the one who will mess the whole plan of a clean job. I need to dispose him as quickly as possible before he can become a nuisance to Boss' plan."

Both of them were having their internal monologue that they were not moved by the agitation of students. No one's gonna break the eye contact unless something really distracting will happen.

*grab

"Huh?" All of a sudden, the staring contest held its conclusion as Toby was the first to break the contact.

"Huh? Oi!" Toby's neck was like being hurdled by something resembles of an arm.

To bring back Toby to reality, Hina grabs the collar of his uniform and pulling it through the direction of their seats.

"Ah, Ow Ow! What the hell!", Toby uttered to express what he's reaction at that rather hostile reaction of the new girl. Despite that, Hina continues to hurl Toby down to his seat and settle down there.

"Miss Amamiya what are you doing to Kiriyama?", the teacher asked after being back to his senses. He don't seem to remember Hina being present in the Guidance office that's why he can't turn his hostility towards her.

"Hmm, nothing of it, Sir," Hina replied. "Kiriyama-kun looks sleepy today so I thought he passed out in the start of the class while standing."

"Hmm, then why you smack him to his desk?" "It's just that I'm kind hearted enough to let him rest to his desk in case he would really pass out."

Of course, what Hina have done wasn't without issues with their classmates, although all of it were all towards Toby.

"How rude of him to let Amamiya-san do such a thing for him." "Wait, perhaps something's up with them?", all of this were spurted out by the rest of the class.

"Oi, what the hell was that for!?", Toby said to Hina. "Hmm? It's just act of kindness from me."

"Wha-!", Toby's about to fluster to Hina when suddenly...

"Seat down, Kiriyama! Or else you'll get punishment for real," Mr.Kou shouted to reach the back of the class and to ring in both eardrums of Toby.

Their eyes clashes again as if to start a new round of hardcore staring contest.

"Tch." Toby' still the loser for this time as he settled in his chair not to cause any further hot takes.

The class starts right away after Toby putted his butt on his chair, leaving him no chance to confront Hina further until the class ends.

"Hina Amamiya," he said while analysing Hina who's just in neighboring seat. "A transfer student from Nakano All-girls School. It's strange that someone like her would transfer to our school when her previous was all prestigious.

"Anyways, a part of me says that this girl doesn't deserve to be trusted at all due to the fact that she might be the one who killed Hikaru. Although, my intuition says that she knows something behind the 'reset' so confronting her might still be a good choice."

The class went on while Toby is all eyes on Hina as if he has any devious intent or something.

Hina noticed the awe behind Toby's glances, so she turns to her side and directly facing Toby. Remember that they're sitting at the back near the window that's why nobody could notice what's happening behind, only if they just turn their backs.

Their eyes meet, again, crystal-brown speck and amethyst-colored eyes. Hina leans to her hand, resting her smooth white face to her palm. She then said something...

"Hmm, you seems like to have fallen to me, Killi-ya-ma-kun," in a soft voice that echoed through Toby's ears.

*yawn

"*sigh," Toby turned on a sigh signalling that he wasn't moved to what Hina have said.

He immediately breaks the eye contact and turns to the front, to the blackboard. *yawn, again, he letted out another sigh to mark to Hina that he's not interested.

"Ugh!!!", he's hurt through his heart. He wonders why his pumping circular system is palpating so hard.

"Her eyes a-again... The cosmos... Amethyst crystal... Light and Dark... What the hell is that!", again, his internal monologue.

To not bursting his feelings into the outside world, he turned on a poker face while facing front as if listening to the class.

"Hmm..." After seeing Toby's reaction, she letted a smile emerged on her beautiful face, "How cute."

The class went on as like that until the first period ends. The suspected teacher says his last words and leaves the classroom.

There's a small free time in between class periods because of the time it takes for the next teacher to reach their classroom, after all, their classroom were quite a walk away from the faculty room.

Every student has their ways to spend that small free time. Others would talk each other, the boys would huddle to play some mobile games, and of course talk their plan on Toby. Others will study their notes in case there's an unexpected quiz incoming while others would take bathroom breaks.

For Hina, it's quite a bit busy, the girls tries to get close to her and talk with her.

"Hmm? What's the crack, Toby?", Yamato asked while leaning back to his chair towards Toby's desk.

For Toby, he would just lie down his face to the desk and acts as if he was sleeping. "Hmm... What?", he replied to Yamato.

"You seems down right now, Toby. Is something happening between you and Amamiya-san?" "That's not the problem for you, Yamato."

Yamato letted a sigh. "Nice game yesterday there."

"Huh!? Wait," Toby bursted out for a moment and immediately asked Yamato. "Yamato, didn't I refuse to go with you to arcade, right?"

"Did that bam to your head shakes off your memory? Of you course you went with us."

"Huh?"

"You even pride yourself up after defeating my friends in a streak yesterday." What Yamato have said matches to the paradigm his sister have said.

"Hmm, so that's how things were going..." "Hmm? Did you say something?" "No, nothing."

His thoughts shift from thinking about what he felt lately to figuring out the match up of reality.

*ka-chak

The door opens and someone emerged from the outside. "Alright, sit to your seats students. The class will start," the teacher said right after entering the room.

The short break have been cut off earlier than expected and the students went to their respective seats with a slight disappointment in their expressions.

Yamato leans back to his seat while Toby begins to flood himself with organized thoughts and hunches. Hina also settled after the girls went back to their desks as the class will start.

"That's right. I'll confront Amamiya right after the lunch," he declared to himself.

(Three hours have passed)

"Toby-kun, do you really wanna know who killed Sato-kun?"
