Leap of faith!

"!!!" Seraphina opened her eyes wide in shock and for a second her entire body turned stiff.

She pushed Noah away immediately and yelled "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING NOAH??"

Seraphina always thought about Noah as her true friend, she never had any impure thoughts about Noah. So her sudden outburst was understandable and Noah knew it so he didn't stop her.

Although Noah is not a person who chases after skirts, there were several reasons why he kissed her now... Thinking about it, Noah can't help but smile smugly in his heart... '2 birds with 1 stone' thought Noah.

First and foremost he knows about her noble upbringing, due to which she will feel guilt about seeing another man instead of his brother, which was completely understandable.

Secondly, although Seraphina is his brother's fiancé only for now and she is not being forced to give her body to Luke until their marriage, even so, she will keep her purity for her future husband and not be intimate with anyone else.

Hence, Noah just wanted to put a seed of 'more than a friend' in her mind.

If he doesn't do it now, Seraphina will eventually succumb to Luke and become a bargaining chip.

Noah had other reasons as well, like messing with his father's plan. It was something personal, related to his mother, Valentina...

Also, Noah did care about Seraphina's feelings and he knew she only considers him as a friend but he wanted to change this relationship to something more for a long time as he had planned many things for the future.

But the sudden announcement of her engagement with Luke poured cold water over all his plans.

Noah could not accept this engagement and let Seraphina become a political tool, so he decided to push a little by giving Seraphina a 'choice'.

Naturally, it will be up to her whether to choose someone she trusts or Luke, still Noah had to make an effort on his part.

"Although I have many faults, I won't lie to you, I don't know about 'love' but I have always 'liked' you Seraphina." Noah said with the most honest expression in his 'book of expressions' which he accumulated over the years!

Noah didn't lie, he is too old for 'love'. Over the years he has had many lovers but all of them died due to old age so his concept of love has been broken long ago.

If he likes someone and they are loyal and kind to him, he will protect their lives and enjoy his life with them together as long as they live....but they eventually die.....

So he eventually stopped using the word 'love' and only used 'like.

"w-what do you mean?" Seraphina blanked out for a moment. Noah was just a 'friend' and she didn't know how to react to such a sudden confession. She instinctively knew that he wasn't lying.

Noah put on the most 'honest expression' and took a step forward and held her waist again and look deep into her eyes. For some reason, Seraphina knew he was waiting for her response...

So-

Seraphina took a breath to control her chaotic emotions which were going from one extreme to another....from rage, sadness, happiness to guilt..."It doesn't matter now, Noah... I am already your brother's fiancé." She spoke in a determined tone while looking into his charming eyes.

"Do you still not trust me? After seeing that...?" Noah pointed at the door behind them which was still open.

Seraphina followed his gaze and saw that the room they were in was still hovering in the air. Her head was spinning at top gear to try to understand how crazy everything got ever since she entered this 'cursed' room.

"H-how did you do it?" she asked meekly while gulping down a mouthful of saliva.

"Does it matter? If you want me to destroy this Empire to escape the clutches of my Idiotic brother then I shall make your wish come true." Noah spoke confidently.

Noah was not a simp who would chase after skirts and become a slave for his lovers but destroying an Empire is easy enough for beings of his race-[Immortals].

It is like swatting a fly away!

Plus he had other 'objectives' to accomplish so he had no qualms about helping Seraphina a little.

Noah smirked in his heart while thinking about this other 'objective'.

Naturally, he could accomplish all his goals using brute force, but [Immortals] like him are too bored to use their fists every time and he wanted to have his fun as well.

"What matters is whether you trust me enough to take a leap of faith with me or not?" Noah tilted his head in a curious manner while pulling her towards the door by her waist.

Seraphina's heart thumped but she suppressed all of it and said in a perturbed tone" I don't know, I need more time to think about it".

Noah was not surprised hearing her voice out her concerns and uncertainties.

He has already completed his task of giving him an 'option'.

Noah knew any sane person would need some time to think about this sudden explosion of information.

So he closed the door and opened it again. This time they were back to the banquet hall.

Seraphina got out of his embrace with her cheeks flushed and left the room but anyone with good hearing can hear her saying 'I'll think about it' in a low, meek voice.

Noah also left the room and started walking towards the banquet hall but suddenly he felt a sharp piercing gaze on his back which threatened to rip his spine any second.

Noah smirked and moved forwards without bothering with the owner of that gaze.

It was Ares and she saw everything from the beginning. The room was a normal room and the scene that Seraphina saw outside the doors was nothing but a cheap illusion. Throughout their conversation including the kiss, the door was opened and anyone from the other side could see everything.

Noah already knew about Ares but he wanted to make her more jealous so he didn't think twice before kissing Seraphina in front of Ares!

'Everything is going according to plan...hehe...' Noah thought while walking towards the banquet hall humming his favorite tune.

Noah already detoxified Ares and left her in her bedroom when she got drunk.

As an existence that has lived very long how can he not expect such developments with his bundle of experience.

He purposefully detoxified her so that she wakes up soon and rushes back to the banquet hall.

Thinking about his master plan Noah can't help but laugh in his heart like an evil demon.

'BROTHER!!!! YOU ARE MINE! ONLY MINE' Ares screamed and stomped her foot and walked out of the banquet hall while smoke could be seen blowing from her nose and ears even though she has no knowledge about [Fire] element...
