Thrusters

It was pitch dark in the vault. I could hardly see the person next to me. Master Leao was the only one with a source of light amongst us and he was at the front.

When Jane entered first, Katie followed, Rio and Alex went after her and I was the last person to go in, so I was at the back of the group. I was struggling to keep up with the others as I place my feet on every step.

The stairs were narrow and curved in an S shape. The space got larger when we got to the larger part of the stairs and it opened to another big hall. The hall was empty and our voices echoed as we speak.

There was nothing notable about the hall as it looks like the one that is up. Master Leao led the way to a rigid-looking iron door on one side of the hall. The door has a wheel at its center and requires a pattern to be unlocked.

Master Leao went ahead and made some marks on the wheel. The wheel began to roll on its own after Master Leao finished whatever thing that he was doing on it and soon after the door opened with a creaking sound.

Unlike every other place that we have seen since we entered this basement where complete darkness fills the whole place, this place radiates with yellow light. The light looks natural as if it's not powered by modern technology. It looks so beautiful from the outside that we are being drawn into the room.

Jane was the one who took the lead again and ran forward to the room. She wanted to behold the spectacle she was seeing, from outside and inside. The room along with the bright light was filled with good-looking weapons for combat.

"Wait!" Master Leao screamed.

It was quite late though because Jane was already midway through the door. As she took a step into the room, spears began to shoot from every side of the room and blades shot out of the floor.

Jane had stepped in much enough for one of the spears to hit her. I closed my eyes as the weapons began to shoot out and Jane was on the floor when I opened my eyes. There was someone else on the floor with Jane, the person was holding onto Jane as she lay on her back.

"What are you guys looking at? Help her up!" the person under shouted.

"Darn it! Kids are just too preposterous. Oh My! What to do now?" Master Leao paced about in the open hall.

I rushed across to where Jane was laying and I saw that she had passed out already but there were no visible injuries on her body. As for the person that was beneath her, it was Katie.

Katie was the closest person to Jane when she decided to walk ahead into the room. She had noticed the danger Jane was going to face earlier than any of us did. Katie stepped in at the last moment and drew Jane back just fast enough for the spear to only tear through her cloth.

Jane must have passed out due to the shock but aside from that, she looks perfectly okay. Master Leao left his murmurs and got to work soon after. He moved her qi towards her brain and used it to activate the cells in them.

Jane woke up after a while and the torn part of her cloth left a significant part of her upper body uncovered. It makes her feel awkward and she was kind of improvising by using her hands to help cover the space.

"You can have this" I pulled my shirt and hand it over to her. She glared at my body for some time, not collecting the cloth I was stretching to her.

"Hey Jane" I called and she snapped out of it.

"I'm sorry, thank you!" she said. Her face was all red.

"I must say, you have a nice body," Katie said smiling.

"You want Jane to kill you" Rio whispered to Katie but it wasn't a whisper because we all heard it.

"Oh! I forgot. I'm sorry Jane, no offense meant" Katie said. Jane's face flushed red again and she had to face the other side.

"You guys should stop this," I said already feeling uncomfortable as well.

"You know what kids? When I met my wife, that was how my friends talked about our sweet love and..."

"I'm sorry sir, but can we just keep moving," Katie said cutting Master Leao off.

"You brat!" Master Leao frowned.

After the initial thrusts from the spears, they went back into the walls. Master Leao explained that the spears react to the first thing that entered the room when the door opens.

The weapons that were on display in the room is to lure any intruder into the room. Anyone who knows about the room wouldn't just jump in so it is assumed that anyone who dies in the room is an intruder.

Master Leao would have used a weapon on him to activate the Spears before we entered. Little matters though, no one is injured and we are all good. We kept moving.

"Thank you," Katie said to Alex as we followed Master Leao again.

Master Leao led through the iron door. We all hesitated before entering and it was after Master Leao went way into the room that we followed.

"You see, the weapons in this room are imitative weapons of the actual ones. The real weapons are not kept here because this place might get infiltrated. There are weapons that were wielded by great warriors of Silverland so they wouldn't want to lose them easily by allowing anyone in.

The weapons contain magical powers of different types. They are weapons that will help you in this fight. The weapons are in a specific room. The door to the room is here but we must find it. The door might not be hard to find but the task is how to open it.

I knew who would be part of this group before it was formed. There's a weapon I found that when yielded will let one see into the future. I used that weapon once and I saw everything that will happen. Leaving it at that, I also saw that the blood of one of you is what can be used to open the door when we find it."
