Chapter 43

Nina observed herself in the mirror. Turning sideways she looked at the large bump. Not long now and Jackson junior would be born. The baby's room was finished and she went to look at it again. Sitting in the chair by the window, everything was so peaceful and the moment was savoured.

Heaving herself out of the chair, Nina headed downstairs. Neither the vase nor the light had been interfered with and that meant that her day was off to a good start. Rory would be at work by now and he would be on the phone soon. He rang several times a day to make sure that she was okay and that nothing was happening with the baby. There were still three weeks to go, but he was already on alert.
