Nightwalker ~when the devil sings

He loathed her. So much so that he was numb from the hatred. He wouldn't kill her~maybe not yet. She glared at him from where she sat on the bed. "Glare all you want since that's what you would be doing from this moment on". "What do you want?" "I will be the musician and you'd be the dancer. Whatever song I sing, you must dance to it. I don't need your will, you just have to obey me". He was the devil himself and this time, she has to be a dancer for him.

Twenty-four : A loyal assassin

Twenty-four : A loyal assassin

Ezekiel walked to where Kim had made a reservation for him for him. On his way, he had witnessed the conversation between Monalissa and Elijah, though he didn't see the face of the man but that of the girl, was one he could never forget. It was moulded into his mind. His fists crumpled to balls when Monalissa traced her fingers across the man's chest and he was about to move from where he was when she kneed him. He smirked at the man, giving Monalissa a credit in his mind. When he realized what was going on through his mind y, and how he has been reacting towards her from the moment she stepped out of tht dressing room at Alpha gardens, he pinched himself reminding himself of the heartbreak she had caused him.

"Boss, Miss Walls has made her way to the target".

He nodded and took a seat. "Any news about the soul-sucking org?"

Kim arched a brow. "None sir. They haven't made any move of late. But sir..."

"Yes?"

"May I ask the reason why you suddenly asked of them?"

"That's...they tend to saunter in parties like this. Be at alert Kim. Don't give me stories".

"Yes boss".

Ezekiel clicked on the earpod that was in his ear, as he wanted to communicate with Monalissa. He couldn't let things go wrong. Mr Banks was the one to lead them to the spies in his companies.

"Walker", his deep voice called

"Yes?"

"Any progress?"

"Well...yes. Just listen in on the conversation if you want to", she said before turning to Mr Banks who was pouring her drinks.

Ezekiel was about to hang up but heard that hoarse voice turn very sexy in an instant.

"No Mr Banks. You can't pour me drinks. That's for me to do", Monalissa said with a chuckle.

"Really? You're one beautiful creature. Why haven't I met you?"

"That's because, this is the perfect time for us to meet ".

The old man guffawed noisily, which earned a disgusted frown from the girl sitting across him.

"Pretty thing, why don't we go to a place for ourselves? Don't you find here noisy?", Mr Banks said his eyes ogling over her body.

Monalissa sneered at him in her heart. "Oh...Mr Banks, this place isn't so noisy but it would be better to go to a quiet place".

The man chuckled, calling her stupid and naive in his heart. Unknown to him, he was falling to his own damnation.

The duo arrived at one of the gardens that was situated at the Fords mansion. His bodyguards stood some distance away inorder to ensure their space.

Monalissa looked at the man closely, not giving any leeway for even the least important thing to skip her eyes. They sat on a bench like any couple would do, holding a glass of wine their hands. Mr Banks had drunk a lot and was almost at his wits end.

Seeing this scenario, Monalissa who was a tad tipsy smirked as she advanced towards him. She stretched forth her feet down to his groin stroking that area. This ignited that flame that were still in amber mode within the old tycoon as he let out a satisfied moan.

"Sweet thing, let me have you", he said, his voice in a plea.

"Of course you would but you know you can't have me for free"

"I already have a compensation for you".

"Really?", Monalissa said and moved closer to him. With her face behind his ears, she whispered some words into his ear, her breath fanning his wrinkled neck.

"I need to know something".

"Ask away".

She chuckled. What a fool!, she screamed in her mind.

"Do you know Alpha network?"

"Who doesn't know the great Alpha network? Of course I know it".

"Thought you wouldn't know ", she said moving away. The man grabbed her arm, drawing her back. Monalissa's heart did a jump as she shot a look at him.

"Is that the only thing that you wanted to know?"

"No. I want to know those moths that are invading the floral garden!"

The man went silent. He looked at her with those astute eyes of his. Monalissa felt her palms turn sweaty due to his gaze. She was getting nervous as well.

"Those ones... they're my people. I kept them there".

"Really?", Monalissa asked as she breathed in relief at his obliviousness.

"Ezekiel Don has more than he can handle. Losing Alpha network won't be a hit at all to him", he chuckled at the end of his words. He reached for her face, trying to stroke it but she warded off his hands and sat on his leg.

"Oh...you sly one", he giggled. Monalissa smiled forcefully at him. Her mind wandered to everything that he had said. He knew how influential Ezekiel was and how powerful he was as well but he still wants to bring him down?! Unless he has swallowed the gall of a shark!

She looked at him again as another question came to her mind.

"But, why would you do that? Aren't you afraid that you'd be found out and brought down?"

He scoffed. "I can't be brought down. Don might be very rich and powerful but...a force cannot defeat a group of forces".

"But it can if that group of forces isn't so strong "

"Don't worry sweet thing, my backer has me covered".

Monalissa chuckled. "You're so good sir. So, can you include me among those moths in the floral garden?"

"No baby, you're too delicate for that".

Ezekiel almost spat out blood when he heard that. Walker? Delicate? She was far from that. Who was she? The one who snaps the necks of battalions without batting an eyelid. Who kills at just a command. A loyal assassin.

Monalissa chuckled when the man said that. She looked into a distance and in two seconds, Mr Banks was seated down on the bench, alone with no memory of who was with him an hour ago.
