Chapter 3

Even though the werewolf was out of sight I ran towards my dorm while looking over my shoulder just to make sure it wasn't there. I ran into something and ricocheted off of it and to the ground, I looked up to find Jason standing over me.

"Wow, you really need to be careful" he said with a chuckle. I felt my back sting moments after I fell to the ground. I got up, took Jason by the arm and tried to drag him into the dormitory, it wasn't working though, I didn't have that much strength.

"Come with me I need to tell you something. Its not safe out here" I said frantically, he showed some resistance.

"What's that smell? It smells like blood." Jason sated, I gave him a pleading look and he followed me to my room. Thank God my roommate wasn't home. Jason sat down on my unmade bed.

"I saw a werewolf! In the woods! Behind the football court… and I'm not crazy I know what I saw." I said while Jason looked at me with a worried look, he didn't even seem bothered by the fact that I said I saw a werewolf.

"Are you sure? Maybe it was a bear or something else" Mason said trying to convince me that it wasn't a werewolf, his enthusiasm died down as he saw I wasn't buying it.

"could a bear do this?" I said while turning around and showing him the torn skin on my lower back.

"You're hurt!" he said while jumping up from my bed and grabbing supplies from my first aid kit.

"You know bears have claws right?" he asked while applying antiseptic to my wound and wrapping a bandage around my torso. He seemed to be so content and gentle while doing it.

"A bear? Really Jason? I know what I saw, that guy brad or whatever that you hang out with is the werewolf, you need to get away from him." I said staring deeply into his eyes, he looked at me sympathetically before he squinted his eyes as if a light bulb went off in his head.

"Bradley." He said with an aggravated look. was he mad at me?

"I need to call Alex, where's my phone." I checked my pockets for my phone. It wasn't there.

"Shoot I think I lost my phone while running for my life" I said in a stressed tone.

"Here use my phone, but only tell Alex nobody else, do you understand? People will think that you're crazy. And its best that you stay away from the woods and Bradley" he said while making his way towards the door.

"Jason! Are you leaving me here alone?" I yelled at him out of fear that Bradley… the beast would come back to finish what he started.

"You. You want me. To stay here with you?" he said in a deep voice and a bright yellow flashed across his iris. Was I seeing things? Or did that just happen? Must be the lighting.

"Yeah, what if that thing comes back." I looked at him with doe eyes, he moved away from the door and stopped in front of me.

"If you want me to stay then I'll stay" he said with a childlike look in his eyes. Be held eye contact for a moment before he turned towards the door.

"first I'll need to get my pyjamas" he said, then he left. I placed his phone on my night stand and switched off my light so the old light that was in the room was my desk lamp.

I jumped in the shower and washed my body while avoiding my wound dressing. I quickly dried myself and pulled on my panda onesie. I sat on my bed trying to think about anything other than the incident that occurred moments before. What's taking him so long? Maybe that thing got him. My head was racing with thoughts. It was roundabout fifteen minutes later that Jason returned with a bag on his back and my phone is his hand.

"You went there! Why did you go there?" I yelled at him, he looked surprised at my question, I could tell as he had both of his eyebrows raised.

"I found your phone, but no Bradley though or a werewolf." He said is such an annoying tone.

"Please don't go there ever again" I pleaded with him. He had a strange look in his eyes, one that I've seen before, it's the look he gives a hotdog when he's hungry. I began to get a bit nervous so I got into the bed and told him that he could change in the bathroom. He entered the bathroom and came out wearing nothing but a sweat pants, my face turned bright red.

"Where's your pyjamas?" I asked him in a high pitched voice, he chuckled and walked towards my bed.

"This is my pyjamas" he said with a stupid smirk on his face, that annoyed me to the point where I just turned around in bed with my face to the wall.

"I thought you wanted me to sleep here" he said in an amused tone. I turned around and looked him dead in the eyes.

"I do, but you're half naked" I whispered, but loud enough for him to hear.

He lifted the sheet and slid under the covers and switched my night stands light off, I closed my eyes and I could feel his warm body pressed up to my side and the odd sound of sniffing. Was homeboy sniffing me? what in the creep was going on here? He rested his head in between my neck and shoulder. Suddenly I felt a hand slide across my stomach and it stopped at my hip, he pulled me closer to him. I wanted to say something because this was just getting weird but at the same time it felt right, it was like a part of me wanted this.
