Hello World

The time unfroze and Ellen started walking inside the room right then everyone heard the heavy steps running down the corridor. Ellen looked back to find Sebby there holding the door and breathing heavily.

Ellen smirks looking at Sebby. Just then Sebby says taking heavy breaths," You have improved huh."

"Have you ever thought that it's not me who has improved but you who has not improved at all?" Ellen said with an evil smile on his face.

Ellen shifted his gaze to Maria and Richard then went straight towards them closely followed by Sebby. The first thing he did there was snatching the pendant from Maria's hands finding it somehow suspicious.

Sebby looked at the baby in the woman's lap first then to the baby beside her. Now he was confused as two newborn babies were in front of him.

"I thought killing just one would be sufficient but looks like there is double work for us," Sebby said looking at the babies one after another.

Listening to Sebby, Richard shoots the death glare and the same blue light towards Sebby which captured Max inside a bubble. But Ellen was fast enough to block the light creating a mirror in between them. The light reflected which touched Richard instead, locking himself inside the bubble.

In case your power backfires, one could not use any other powers for a minute. So, Richard was now captured in a bubble powerless for a minute.

"Nice Shot!" Sebby exclaimed.

"Back to the point. Which one of the two is the dragon? Just say it now although we will find it after the babies open their eyes." Ellen stated looking at Maria with a monotone voice.

Richard was worried now as he was captured and her wife and daughter were in danger not knowing what will happen now as he thinks that his daughter's spirit animal has not been sealed.

Instead of answering Ellen, she looked at the worried expression on Richard's face and blinked her eyes signaling to him that everything is under control and he does not need to worry. Richard understood right away and nodded his head but was still concerned for their safety.

Sebby noticed the signals between the two and said, "Oho! What was that? Unless you tell us the truth there is no way out for you all."

Sebby paused and said pointing towards Ellen, "I don't want to accept it but there is no one in this country who can beat this guy. That's why he is the personal secretary of the prime minister."

All the people were aware that the person that has come over was the prime minister still no one cared to greet him as they all knew he was a prime minister only on papers and had no power for real.

Sebby didn't make a fuss about it, he was quite used to this situation as it always happened no matter where he went.

"B..but you won't.. be able to s..see the eyes," Maria said with every inch of strength she had left.

"Why so?" Ellen replied.

"Because the baby is dead," Richard said popping out of the bubble.

Ellen and Sebby were speechless because of what they heard.

"We had twin daughters but unfortunately our elder daughter has passed away," Richard said pointing towards the baby on Maria's lap.

Ellen put his index finger under the nose of the baby for a few seconds but he could not feel the baby breathing. Then he holds his fingertips to the baby's left side of the neck but he could not feel any sign of a beating heart.

Ellen took a step back and looked at Sebby's curious face then he said," This baby is dead."

Sebby didn't want to trust his words but he knew that he was not joking so he just blurted out," How can you prove that this baby is the one with the dragon?"

"Well just wait for my youngest daughter to open her eyes and you will know," Richard said confidently although deep down he was nervous and had doubts about things not going as planned.

Sebby felt like a fool for asking such an obvious question but had no other option but to wait.

"Excuse me," a voice came from the dark side of the room where the image of the doctor slowly came into the scene. Until now both the doctor and nurse stayed so quiet that everyone forgot they were still there. They had well blended into the background.

Everyone looked towards the direction of the voice.

The doctor again said," Ms. Kim is hurt a lot. I have done some first aid but she needs to go to the hospital. And the baby is also stable, it won't have much problem at least for now, so can we go?"

The doctor was worried that Ms. Kim might be infected from the burns leading to other serious problems. But she could not speak till now as the atmosphere was really tense and finally mustered up the courage after the silence filled the room.

Richard was still worried about his wife and daughter so he said sternly "No, what if..."

"Let them go" Maria once again spoke collecting more strength.

"But..."

"It's ok."

Richard gave in to his wife and just shook his hand in the air implying them to leave. Then the doctor and Ms. Kim bowed to everyone in the room and left.

Unlike Max, they knew Dr. Rania and Ms. Kim for a long time as they had been working for them since they had moved to the city 'Pliko', the city next to 'Hays'.

Now everyone was waiting for the baby to open her eyes to give proof of her not having a dragon.

It was about after 2 minutes of wait the baby girl finally started opening her eyes. Except for Maria everyone else was nervous and held their breaths until the baby girl opened her eyes.

Seeing the baby girl's eyes were normal, Richard breathed in relief while Sebby could not hide his disappointment on his face and Ellen had a poker face leaving no way to figure out his emotions.

One of the ways to figure out if a person has a spirit animal dragon or not was to look at the person's eyes and it was the only way to find out in the case of babies. Only the eyes of the person having the spirit animal dragon are in the color gold.

But the baby girl right in front of them had pure black eyes which were sparkling bright.

While everyone was looking at the baby, she smiled along with her eyes making everyone else smile. Even the cold Ellen was twitching his lips controlling not to escape the smile.

A baby girl was wrapped in a white cotton cloth where only her head was visible. A cute little reddish face, black eyes, a pointed nose, small round ears, and pink lips. Although she has not got her facial features yet as she has just been born, everyone could say she would be a great beauty in the future.

When she smiled it was as if the world became brighter, such a pretty smile. As if she was saying hello to the world with a bright face.

While everyone was mesmerized by the baby, Ellen looked at the Pendant in his hand curious about what it was. He felt like it was something important yet nothing. Also how the couple was not showing any grief toward their dead daughter. Everything was weird.

Maria then looked at Ellen who was staring at the pendant and said," It's like an heirloom passed to the daughters of our family. I just wanted to put it on her. If you don't mind please return it to me."

Ellen had his doubts but still passed the pendant to Maria and she put it around the neck of her daughter although it looked a bit big for a newborn baby.

Maria smiled sadly as she knew that this was the first and last time she would see her daughter smiling.

"Richard, Can you bring me a bottle of water?" Maria asked as she had to make him go out of the room.

Richard looked around the room but there was no water so he excused himself to go the kitchen downstairs to bring water.

After Richard left the room Maria quickly picked up her daughter from her side and gave her daughter to Sebby who standing close to her.

Sebby was startled by Maria's action but managed to hold the baby.

As soon as he hold the baby, Maria started catching fire from her foot. She holds the baby on her lap dearly and says," Please do not kill my daughter or husband. They are innocent. She is the one with spirit animal dragon so I am taking her with me."

Sebby and Ellen didn't knew what exactly was happening. They weren't understanding how the fire was catching and how to put out the fire.

All the humans were told that the dragons were killed by other humans not that they sacrificed their dragon and caught fire themselves burning to death. No one knew that sacrificing your spirit animal meant death as no one knew that sacrificing one's spirit animal was even possible.

Richard came back to the room with water bottle but dropped the bottle as soon as he saw the fire burning his wife. The fire looked like the aurora. Richard picked up the water bottle and poured the water on the fire but it was on use.

He saw a small blanket on the basket and started putting out the fire but it was not even showing the sign of being put off.

So he just jumped straight into the bed hugging and rubbing himself to his wife but to his surprise the fire didn't catch him at all. He didn't even felt hot. But Maria and the baby were burning.

Because the baby was now a part of Maria as she holds Maria's dragon she was also being burnt as Maria holds her tightly. If she had put the dead baby away from her then she would not be burning right now.

Ellen and Sebby were also surprised how Richard was not burning.

"I am sorry, Richard. Take care of our daughter. I love you both." These were the last words of Maria before her whole body burnt into ashes.

Richard could not stop the tear which were dangling on his eyes to fall and also shouted.

"Mariaaaa."
