New world order: Global transmigration

What would you do if you were dumped into a new world with no plan, no friends, and no idea how you were going to complete your objective? What is the objective, you may ask? World domination, obviously. Join Alex as he navigates his way through twists and turns to complete his hopeless objective. He was not special, but he had one advantage; he was hard-working. But was that enough in this world of ungodly lucky protagonists and murderous villains? I'll guess you will find out, if you read the web novel. :) (The art is not made by me and if you are the original creator you can ask me take it down by commenting so on any of the chapters)

A normal day

I woke up the next day feeling refreshed and motivated. I had already planned what I was going to do, so I just needed to execute it.

Firstly, I need to inform my citizens what they are doing.

I got up on my roof and called everyone to the square, where I could speak to them properly.

"Good morning, citizens, and what a fine day it is today. Today you will be training until lunch, where you will then eat, and then you will have an hour of free time where you can do whatever you like. Finally, we will have to complete a mission before the end of the day.

Please note that you will also have an hour break after dinner as well.

I hope everyone has a productive day and works hard.

For the future of the empire! "

Only now do I realise that my speeches aren't great. Luckily, they are demons and are therefore a lot dimmer than humans, so I only need to employ basic techniques to get them motivated.

So after they chanted my last line, they all got to work, including me.

I had city planning to do.

What is city planning, you may ask?

Well, a dumbed down version would be: city planning is the planning and design of all the new buildings, roads, and parks in a place in order to make them attractive and convenient for the people who live there.

For demons, is this necessarily important? Probably not, but like I said before, this city would reflect me. Therefore, I wanted it to be the best city it could be.

For the next 4 hours, I took into account future residents' housing, administration, some parks, and even planned out a business district. Sadly, to implement my design would have destroyed all housing previously built.

It's annoying, but oh well, what can you do?

Ah yes, I also showed Dante my training regimen and they are practising it right now, I believe.

So, I wandered over to a square they had marked out to be the training grounds and found them all to be swinging pieces of wood at each other's bodies.

This, in my opinion, was the best way to train. Have the trainees think of methods themselves. If they were in pain and wanted to get rid of it, they would have to think up a way to stop it. It relies on the user, not the manual, and could potentially be limitless in how far you train in it.

As long as one had any sort of battle talent, I would be able to suck it dry with this technique.

It also fit the demonic way, as they healed fast and had plenty of battle talent.

Talent was an odd thing to describe, but I liked to think of it as passion. If you were passionate about a subject, you could do great things in the field. Consider the mad scientist trope: they are usually very passionate about the subject, which drives them to study to the point of insanity, but in the process, they become the best at it.

Demons loved combat, and I could see it on their faces. All of them loved my training and wanted to improve quickly. Pain was little more than a tool for them to grow.

The lower demons had been slaves all their lives and had always wanted to grow better but had no way of doing so.

Regular demons were the middle class and had the most ambition to grow.

Dante was a bit of an outcast. He called my training regimen "barbaric," "unnecessarily brutal," and, okay, they are both true, but so? Who cares? They were clearly fine with it. The only one who didn't like it was Dante, who wouldn't even do it anyway. He was meant to teach it.

Dante was just fine now and had even come to apologise for his words, which was surprising. It was weird now that he could even apologise.

So, as a former human, I completely expected demons to be unreasonable, but so far I have had a great experience with them.

To be fair, I hadn't seen them during the war, when their problems were supposed to be amplified. The loss of a loved one was easily the best motivation for demons to go insane, and there had been no deaths yet.

Moving on, I had some exploring to do.

I looked at my holographic map and was ready to do some exploring.

First, I came across a dark cave that had some silvery thing in it. I want to assume it's iron, but I'm no geologist.

Next, I came across some massive bears and what looked to be their den. They were a bit like the Hawkes in size, but all my remaining instincts told me that they were much deadlier.

Next, an exit actually led to an exit. That's right. For the first time since I came here, I reached the part of my map that said above ground.

Then I had a few more mines with different coloured gems. Not knowing what they were really didn't help. Hopefully, at least one was useful.

By that time, my simple mission had refreshed, and it was just a big house called a town hall. Supposedly, I could set missions on it, which was useful. For now, though, I just collected some wood with my regular demons and completed it.

I set up the design and some lower demons to do it in intervals, then I ate some food that the hunting party had hunted and started my 3-hour meditation.

Relaxing was really hard in this environment, but I found sanctity in my breathing.

Focusing on my surroundings was what I did this time. My worn out suit was touching the cold floor. The cobblestone was cold and made my back ache at times, yet when I rested on it for a long period, it would grow warm and would make me feel at home.

The air in the cave was non-existent. The mountain that protected us was a study and let none of the elements inside.

My house that I surrounded myself with was one made through sweat and hard work. I still remember when it would all fall down, and I would curse and have to start again. My building now stands tall, a testament to my hard work. It was the only thing I would not move when doing city planning as I wanted to remember the time. I worked hard to make this house mine.

I could hear the sound of my citizens' training. Their grunts and thwacks were surprisingly rhythmic, which led me to believe Dante was doing a good job.

I did all this in just 3 days, and I honestly think I did my best.

So what am I doing tomorrow?

Slice a life.

A very odd life.

As always, have a nice day,

Author.
