9. Fourth event

"Hey-" Asuna stopped when she did not see Payne anywhere. Payne tapped her shoulder scaring her. Asuna jumped away. "Why did you do that?" Asuna asked.

They chatted for some time before moving to the third level. After reaching the third level, they were informed that there was a legendary dungeon that gave legendary rewards. Payne and Asuna decided to look for the dungeon.

They searched for the dungeon the whole day but they could not find it so they decided to give up. They logged out when it was late.

The next, they logged in at the same time. They decided to prepare for the fourth event. They increased their level and did other things which would make them powerful. They all became powerful but Payne could not defeat Asuna.

They completed basic dungeons and defeated powerful monsters. Drag and Dread were also leveling up as well as powering up for the fourth event. Frederica was gathering information from other guilds.

~~~~~Monday, During the Guild Competition~~~~~

After Dorazou's announcement, Asuna and her guild members joined the event. They were given a base. There was an orb on a flower. They had to protect the orb so no one can steal it. Their base was in the middle of a place that looked like a battle took place there.

To gain points in the event, a guild has to protect its orb for six hours or steal another guild's orb and protect it for three hours. Protecting your orb would give one point and protecting other guild's orb in your base would give two points. The stolen orb returns if the time to get the point has reached.

One's stats are decreased by 5% if they die once. The decrease of stats increases by 5% anytime you die, but if you die for the fifth time, you will be eliminated. A guild's orb would disappear if all of its members have been eliminated.

Payne and Dread went to get orbs whilst Asuna, Drag, and Frederica were protecting their orb. Some of the lower members of the guild went with Dread. Some also stayed to help protect the orb.

"Oh, Look. Here they come." was what Frederica said when a group of people sprinted towards them to steal the orb.

"Shall we get to it?" Drag said smiling. "Fissure" Drag screamed and used his large axe to hit the ground destroying it. The skill killed most of the people. "Stampede" He then said. He raised his axe and sprinted towards the group of people. He dashed through them. He again killed most of them but they were still coming.

He used a lot of skill to kill many of them. Most of them died but many were still coming.

"Multi-Sunbeam!" Frederica raised her staff and shouted. A bright light appeared in the sky and went down onto the group of people shouting. All of them disappeared after the light went away.

"Looks like you can take care of it," Asuna said. She was sitting behind them when they were fighting. She then got up. "I am going to also steal some of the orbs." She said smiling.

Drag and Frederica just nodded. "Traitor" Asuna screamed and the wings appeared at her back. Drag and Frederica were surprised to see her wings. "See you later," She said and flew up into the sky. She looked down as she flew through the sky to see if she would see anyone.

She did not see many people. The people she saw were weak so she was bored. "Maybe it is because this is the first day." She said. Tired of flying Asuna summoned Blue and sat on it. "Maybe...some of the bases are in caves. Why did I not think of that" She said amazed. She looked down to see a cave just below her. She decided to go and check if her guess was correct.

She jumped down and moved inside after making her pet disappear. She heard screaming when she saw light from inside the cave. She smiled and proceeded inside. Someone she thought looked like Sally slashed someone's back killing him. She then saw many people come close to her.

She reached there but they did not notice her. "[Looks like they just finished a fight with someone.]" Yo!" She said making them look at her. Her guess was correct as the person she saw was Sally.

Asuna looked at all of them. There were only two people that she knew which were Sally and Maple.

"Lisa?!" Sally said surprised. "-What do you want here?" She asked. Asuna looked at her as if she was crazy.

"Your orb?" was what she said.

"You can not get it without going through us." She said and dashed towards Asuna. Sally slashed at her, Asuna quickly removed her sword and blocked Sally's attack.

"Should we help her?" A guy among them asked. Maple tells him that Sally is powerful so she can defeat Asuna.

"Wow! You're going to fight me?" Asuna said and blocked another attack from Sally.

"I thought you were using short swords like me," Sally said smiling. She slashed at Asuna again.

"Do you think you can defeat me? Asuna asked also smiling.

"I don't think I can defeat you, I know I can." was Sally's answer. She slashed at Asuna many times but she could not touch her.

"What's with your sword?" A girl with a sword asked. Asuna ignored her. She blocked Sally's skill again and moved to her back. She cut her but nothing happened.

"See, this is why I said you can not defeat me," Sally said. Asuna was surprised. She decided to escape because of the cloak Sally was wearing. Asuna moved back away from her.

"Nice cloak. If I can't touch you guys, then I have nothing to do here." Asuna said smiling.

"Before you plan your escape, where did you get the wings," Sally asked. Asuna looked behind her and told Sally about the quest. Asuna then summoned Blue.

"See you guys later. [Flame]" She made Blue flood the area with fire blinding them. She then used her {SWIFT} skill. She bolted out of the cave. When she was out of view of the cave, she made Blue disappear again. She flew up into the sky. She went back to their base and rested when it was nigh time. The event would last for a week.

The next day, Asuna snatched orbs from some guilds and defeated some of the members. Payne and Dread were also collecting orbs. Drag, Frederica and some of the other guild members were protecting the orb as usual.

Asuna returned to their base when it was in the afternoon. She put all the ten orbs she got into their orb. Drag and Frederica were fighting off all the people that came to their base.

Frederica received a message from one of the low guild members saying that someone was causing trouble but they had surrounded her. She decided to go and check leaving only Drag to protect the orb because Asuna also decided to follow her.

They reached the area to see Sally fighting with some of their members. Asuna sat on a cliff so that she would look at Sally's fight. Frederica ordered them to attack her altogether.

Sally used some skills to block and dodge all the attacks. "This...was the skills Frederica was talking about?" Asuna said surprised. She knew they were made-up skills just by looking at it. Sally killed many of Asuna's members.

She killed a lot of them until Frederica decided to join the fight. "Interesting" She exclaimed. Sally then became tired. She stopped attacking but no one was attacking her because they were afraid she was planning something.

More guild members appeared to fight Sally making Frederica happy. She used her {MULTI-BARRIER} skill to protect the people from Sally's attacks. Frederica and the people were about to attack her when Maple flew towards her and used her skill to create a defensive wall. The wall protected them from the attacks of the people.

Asuna smiled watching them. A red light was seen from behind the defensive wall. The light disappeared and Maple flew upwards. She was in something that looked like a robot or so Asuna thought. She then began to attack Asuna's guild members.

Everyone was running away. "Wow! This is...interesting. I have to protect them. They should not be killed this many times." Asuna said. "TITAN" She screamed. She then transformed into a giant monster with short black her. She screamed gaining the attention of the people including Maple and Sally. They all looked at her surprised.

Asuna sprinted towards Maple at high speed. Maple attacked her with a skill. Asuna dodged and continued her sprinting. When she reached them, she jumped high into the air.

"Ehhhh" Maple screamed surprised.

Asuna kicked her with full force sending her a far distance away from them. Asuna thought they would calm down but they continued to run away.

"They don't know who I am. But now they are safe so I should get back." Asuna said and ran towards their base. She reached the base to see everyone there. They were surprised to see her because they did not know who she was.

"The last time I saw you was during the first event. Who are you?" Payne asked and held his sword.

Asuna saw they were about to attack so she quickly transformed back when she reached them.

"Now you know who I am," She said smiling.

"Are you a monster or something?" Dread said staring at her surprised. They all calmed down and sat down to rest.

"So...we are leading. Right?" Asuna asked and Payne nodded. "You're are weak. Getting your ass kicked by Maple" She said pointing at Dread. They chatted for some time as usual before they went to sleep.

The next day, they did what they always do. They went to steal orbs and some protected their orbs. Asuna also went out to steal some orbs.

Anytime she reached a guild's base, their orb had already been stolen. She flew to many places until she reached a place. She looked down at them. They were wearing red cloaks.

"Those I saw in the third event?" She asked herself. She then saw Maple and a girl she got to know as Mii fighting. The people wearing the red cloak run away leaving the two of them to fight.

Maple was in her robot uniform again. Mii moved behind her and said something. A blue light formed around her and Maple, and the place they were standing exploded destroying the area. Smoke covered the whole area. When the smoke disappeared, it was left with only Maple.

"Wow!" Asuna exclaimed. She then saw other two people on a flying tortoise. She made Blue move exactly above them. She looked at them and opened both of her palms down at them. "This skill must be enough to get rid of them." She assured herself.

"Force Blast" She screamed. A small round blue thing appeared. The thing became very big. Asuna pushed her palms forward a little. The blue ball went towards them at high speed. It hit them pushing them to the ground. Asuna saw that it was only the tortoise that was there when the skill disappeared.

"Nice hit." She exclaimed. Maple saw her and became angry.

"I won't forgive you." Maple flew upwards towards her at high speed. She stopped when she was in front of Asuna. "Full Beam" She screamed surprising Asuna.

"Shit!" Asuna said. She made Blue quickly move downwards evading the attack. Maple quickly targeted her and used another skill to fire large red beams towards her.

"This girl is really serious. Even if I want to fight her, I can't because she is in the sky." Asuna mused. "But I have my wings so maybe I can fight her for some time because I am not good with being in the air." She said.

"Seize" Asuna screamed. Large chains appeared at both of her sides. The chain moved towards Maple and chained her. Maple could not move anymore because of the chains. "Sorry, Maple. Your health is only half so maybe I can use one skill to defeat you."

"Devastate" Asuna screamed and pulled out her sword. She moved towards Maple and slashed her. When she hit her, Maple exploded because of the skill Asuna used. The chain disappeared and Maple fell. The robotic thing she was in, disappeared.

Maple looked at Asuna surprised. "It disappeared?" Asuna asked herself surprised. She made Blue come down. Asuna then jumped from her pet and landed on the ground. "I thought only one of my skills could defeat you but I am wrong," Asuna said smiling.

She sprinted towards Maple and slashed at her. Maple blocked Asuna's attack with her great shield.

"Your devour skill," Asuna said making Maple look at her. "It can instantly defeat anyone right?" Asuna asked and Maple nodded. Asuna slashed at her again and Maple blocked. Asuna jumped back and sprinted towards Maple. She threw her sword towards Maple and moved behind her. Asuna's sword hit Maple's shield and fell.

Asuna, now behind Maple put her hand on Maple's back. "Fire Ball" Asuna screamed. The ball of fire hit Maple's back sending her stumbling forwards. Maple turned her back to face Asuna but was too late as Asuna used her {WATERBALL} skill to hit her back.

Maple turned back again. "Hydra" Maple screamed. The three poisonous snakes appeared in the sky and charged towards Asuna. Asuna was surprised Maple used that skill because she had poison immunity. Asuna passed through the poison and sprinted towards her sword. She grabbed her sword and turned back to face Maple.

"Mega-morph, Mother Nature, and Spirit Cannon" Maple screamed. Maple's pet became large and large roots emerged from the ground. The roots chained Asuna making her unable to move. A bright light in the form of a circle appeared in front of Maple's pet. The light was then sent towards Asuna.

"Bulwark," Asuna screamed. A wall appeared in front of Asuna, protecting her.

"Predator," Maple screamed making some weird things come out from the ground. The two snake-like things attacked Asuna from both sides killing her. Blue also disappeared after Asuna got killed.

Asuna respawned at her base after getting killed by Maple.

"Interesting" was what she said before sprinting in the direction of Maple. "I won't accept defeat." She screamed.

Asuna reached the place but Maple was nowhere to be found. She looked for her everywhere but could not find her. She decided to give up on her search. She then went back to her base.

Every one of them returned in the evening with stolen orbs. "Are we ready?" Payne questioned after they decided to go and attack Maple's guild. Everyone answered with a yes. They decided to leave all the lower members because they would slow them down.

They walked into the cave when they reached there. "Just five of them?" A girl in a black outfit said sitting beside a girl who looked exactly like her.

"I figured we'd be more than enough to defeat you" Payne mocked them. Their expressions change making them look scared.

"Howdy, Sally. You won't be tricking me this time." Frederica said smiling.

"Come on and show us what you've got. Hello, girls. It's time for round two." Dread said referring to the two girls that looked like each other.

"Maple. I've always wanted to fight you." Payne said looking at Maple.

They all looked at Asuna when she did not say anything. She noticed and asked them why they were looking at her. They shrugged it off and got ready for battle.

"Payne...I've heard you are the strongest player there is, but...I will not lose!" Maple screamed the last part and took her shield. All her friends also took out their weapons.

"Fight me!" Payne screamed and dashed towards Maple. Maple and all of her guild members dashed towards the five people in front of them.

"Loving Sacrifice," Maple screamed. Her hair became blond. She stopped and held her shield in front of her. Sally jumped towards Payne to stop him from attacking Maple but Payne slashed at her with his sword making her fall down. A girl with a sword caught Sally so that she would not fall.

Payne continued to sprint towards Maple. Dread went to fight with Sally and the girl with the sword. Drag used a knockback skill to push Maple and the twins back reducing some of their health.

Maple was about to use a skill when Payne slashed at her. Drag moved towards the twins to attack them but a guy with a shield and a sword came to block his attack.

"I will sit here and watch," Asuna said and sat at the entrance of the cave. Frederica ran towards their orb to attack the people protecting it. She tried to attack them with a skill but they blocked it.

Payne slashed at Maple many times pushing her back. Maple lost her balance giving Payne a chance to attack her. Payne cut her many times and Maple screamed.

Sally told Maple something and Maple canceled the skill she used. Immediately after she canceled her skill, Payne sprinted towards her. Drag, Dread and Frederica used a skill to increase Payne's attack.

"Sword of Judgement" Payne screamed and appeared in front of Maple and cut her, reducing almost all of her health. Maple's health was now 1%.

She looked at Payne making him smile. "How long are you going to last with one percent HP?" Payne smiled.

Maple used a skill to make the hydra and that weird thing she used to kill Asuna appear. They charged towards Payne and he slashed them making them disappear.

A girl with blue hair tried to move close to Maple but Frederica used a skill to block the area with fire. Payne used a skill to move very fast toward the girl. She slashed her killing her completely.

Everyone fought hard whilst Asuna was sitting down watching them. Frederica killed the girl with the sword known as Kasumi and used a shield to trap Sally close to a wall.

Dread slashed Sally's pet when she tried to use it to attack Frederica. Payne killed the person who was protecting the orb and told Dread to take the orb.

Payne blocked all of Maple's skills. "I'm going to end this with everything I've got," Payne said and raised his sword. A blue aura surrounded him. "Sword of Destruction" He screamed. He then sprinted towards Maple.

Maple brought her shield in front of her. She threw down her shield to reveal her now robotic right hand. She opened her palm towards Payne and fired a red beam at him. Payne blocked the attack surprising all of them.

"Sword of Vanquishing" Payne screamed and the aura appeared again. Maple closed her eyes and a red aura appeared around her too.

"Atrocity" She screamed. Maple transformed into a monster with four hands. "He tried to grab Payne but he cut her hand off. He cut her other hand off but Maple managed to grab her with her other two.

"Titan" Asuna screamed and transformed into a giant monster. She screamed and sprinted towards Maple.

Maple was about to bite Payne but Asuna held her mouth and pushed her back. Payne was now free from Maple.

"Don't forget about me" Asuna said in a loud raspy voice. Everyone looked at her with surprise. "[Her health is low, so this is easy for me.]" Asuna dashed towards Maple and tried to kick her. Maple tried to block the attack but nothing came.

Asuna transformed back. "Devastate" Asuna screamed and slashed Maple five times quickly. The area around Maple exploded five times completely reducing her health. She then disappeared leaving only Sally and the twins.

"Should we get rid of them?" Asuna asked smiling, looking at Sally and the twins.

"Let's just leave them alone..." Payne said looking at Asuna. "...we just wanted to fight Maple." He completed. Asuna agreed and they all went back to their base. They put the orbs in theirs and chatted for some time. The next day, it was like hell. Maple trees were on a rampage. They were trying to wipe out all of the guilds so that no one could compete with them anymore.

They managed to wipe out almost all of the guilds. The event ended on Friday evening and all of them got their rewards. After the event, Maple invited all of the top three guilds to join her in her guild. They celebrated together and watched some of the battles they had.

They talked about many things. After that day, they did many quests and other things together.
