Fallout Verse 2

Them men handled their first battle in the Fallout Verse well, but it did give them an idea just how dangerous some of the "animals" of this place were truly dangerous even though the smaller mirelurk were killed with a little work with higher caliber rounds.

So we made camp for the night and in the morning we will be making a more permanent housing as for now the men were sleeping in expanded tents. While the officers are using the garage after we used a heavy use of Magic, Tech and Golems to clean and put the thing together.

Near the end of the first morning we allowed the men to scavenge the island to find anything of interest, as they were told each new piece of tech they and their families would get a bonus. So most brought small things like tools, a old T.V, and a bunch of random from the old container ship that washed ashore on the Eastern side of the island.

Someone even found a broke down fusion tractor, while the core is dead and a little rusted it will be a great help in reverse-engineering some of the tech here.

The craziest thing was someone found a mini-nuke.

Soldier-"Sir, I found this in the collapsed house while we were clearing it for equipment storage. I have no idea what it is but I think it is a bomb, it says on the side "Mini-Nuke."

Hal-"Oh that nice put i— WHAT YOU FOUND A NUKE STAY WHERE YOU ARE DO NOT MOVE AND DO NOT EVEN FLINCH. EVERYONE CLEAR THE ROOM AND BACK OFF.

-The men scatter from the temporary storage area that we had set up. They altered my wives of the situation and they went and got a stasis chamber, which was a lead box infused with gravity Dust to prevent the contents from touching the sides.-

Now, son I need you to be perfectly still while I put that in a secure container.

-I then casted a modified telekinesis spell to slowly take the nuke out of his hands, once the nuke was out of his hands he promptly passed out-

Hal-"IT'S SAFE, come on in and get that kid to the medic."

Thankfully that was the last excitement for the first day on the Fallout Verse. But not the end of the work, once the camp was set and guard duty delegated I went and opened another rift to allow our local trade ship to come over.

I only requisitioned a decent River Boat, it could hold two cargo crates side by side and as we would only be trading here along the coast or up rivers so we had no need for a bigger one.

For now we would not be using aircraft as we did not have the infrastructure on this side of the rift to keep it kept to a decent condition.

I also set up the radiation absorbers, which had been made by Lilly and the Research Institute when she heard we would be heading here. They are a mix of magic and technical know how, in basic terms they are a 12Ft towers that have a large rotating fan that sucks in airborne radiation with a Runic matrix that then condenses it into a useable form to be used in Nuclear Reactors.

For the camp it self we only made basic short term housing, the garage had been taken over by my family as officer quarters while the adjacent green house has been changed to specimen storage till better facilities can be built.

The collapsed house was gutted and had temporary wall and roofing put up so the men could set their tents inside the houses as extra protection from the elements.

And before lights out were sounded a message came over from The Castle.

-This is Radio Freedom calling in we have been asked for an updates about the situation on Spectacle Island, we are pleased to say that the Queen was killed and the group that was fighting it is still kicking.

Now, this is a message for those on the island the General want to set up a meeting as we are now neighbors here and he has some questions about the fire power you guys are packing. So shoot off something loud to confirm a meeting tomorrow morning-

-I got our mortar team to shoot a shell at one of the destroyed buildings near the coast-
