Andrew rolled back as the goblin attacked him
Causing the flower shelves to fall, the scene was complete chaos, unlike me Andrew had spent his energy conjuring wind blasts and was probably left with no power to fight back
I immediately grabbed a nearby flower pot and threw it at the goblin who was about to hit the downed Andrew
"Hey! Fight me you. Green crayon!"
That seemed to grab the bastard's attention as it ran towards me, shouting gibberish that I couldn't understand
*Bam*
Maybe after fighting for a while, I had come to understand how to deal with these critters, or maybe the guy as already on
It's last leg, but I easily smashed it's head in
DING! Two Level 3 Goblins killed
Ding +100 Exp= ten times the gain=1000 exp gained
Both of us were shrouded in a bright light before it shimmered down
Andrew also felt much better as he exhaled
"Thankfully we both infested points in Vitality, or else I would have died" he said as he wiped the sweat off his body
Ding! Congratulations to 'anonymous player for being the first person to reach level 10
A notification sounded out as both of us looked at each other
I knew it wasn't me considering I was still short of a few points to level up
"Damn! Someone took the lead" Andrew smashed his fist
"What does it matter?" I said offhandedly as we both got out of the now-dilapidated shop
"You don't understand bro! This world will only grow more dangerous, plus all these achievements give you one perk or another" he spoke
"Oh! That's good I guess" I replied
"Yeah! Say what! Me and some others from our class who got combat combat-oriented talents are planning on going through the forest to the novice village, you want it?" he asked me suddenly
"Huh! Novice Village? What's that?" I couldn't help but ask
This caused Andrew who was looking around to be surprised once again as he looked at me
"You really don't know! The info was revealed by a player who somehow ended up in the Novice village, this novice village is one of the many new villages, cities, and kingdoms that have magically appeared, the NPCs have become real people, and one of the beta players even posted a guide on the Chats"
"What Chat?" I asked again feeling a little out of the loop
This caused Andrew to grow dumbfounded as he looked at me with a weird gaze
"W-what?!" I asked, feeling weird
"Sigh! It's nothing, you should pay more attention to these kinds of things, the player interface comes with several functions such as Chat server, Trading server and some other things"
Andrew ended up giving me a detailed overview of all the things I need to look out for
"So are you coming with us?"
He asked
I thought for a while, although my peculiar innate skill might garner the wrong attention, it was best not to go alone into the forest of solitude, that's what the place is called
This game that we have been born into is made by the famous company that is known for making games that are terrifyingly difficult
"Alright, I will come with you" I accepted his invitation
"Haha! Great! I will send you a friend request and a party invitation later, we will meet near the school in two hours"
The dude left off quickly as he came, and I was left alone in the streets, soon I heard the sound of police sirens as several police cars arrived
What are they here for? Nothing left for them to do now that we have dealt with the monsters
I thought, I made a run for it as well, I always disliked the police and their dismissive attitude towards normal civilians in my previous life
Plus I didn't feel like explaining myself, who knew what they were up to now that the world has changed greatly
I was not strong enough to guarantee my own safety
——-
As soon as Allen ran away from the place, several Police cars arrived at the scene, the police immediately left their vehicles armed to the teeth ready to take down any enemies
You could see that they had seen better days
"Chief! There are no signs of Goblins!" one
Of the policeman spoke
"What! We clearly received reports that some monsters had broken loose, look for any monsters" A voice came from the comma
"Copy that!"
....
"Phew! Finally lost em" Allen sighed with relief as he sat on a bench in Block D of the Granite City B
His house was on the other side of the forest which was Granite City B according to the new map service
There was enough time till the appointment time so Allen decided to check the two features which he had somehow missed before
"Open Chat"
The window opened in front of him, it was divided into Friends Chat, Groups Chat, Guild Chat, Kingdom Chat
The Guild chat was greyed out and
The Friends chat was already known to him as he had previously used it when adding Andrew as a friend
Allen's eyes focused on the Kingdom chat, he opened up the chat and realized that the kingdom name was actually the country's name
There were options to talk in other kingdom's chats but they were greyed out for now
Considering that the kingdoms in the chat were actually countries, Allen realized that he couldn't remember the names of a few countries among all the names
Whatever, I can think about that later, let's set up a proxy name for myself in case I want to speak in the chat in the future
[Lowprofile69 welcome to the chat feature, would you like to use the same name in the Trader platform, note that the two platforms are interconnected so it's best to use the same name]
"Do it"
Soon enough the Trader platform was made available to him, unfortunately, just like in the chat, he could only trade among people of the same country for now
Let's see if I can find some gear for myself to wear, I should have enough money to buy
[Ding! The game currency is needed to buy]
Damn it!
Allen couldn't help but curse as he was stopped from buying a sword that he found might be useful to him
"And where can I get this currency, can I buy it"
Allen pulled up the Newbieguide.pdf that Andrew sent him
Inside was information regarding Gold coins
Gold coins could be earned through various means
Such as by doing missions, Defeating mobs, Selling stuff in the trading platform
Monsters had a chance of Dropping loot that included myriad stuff, beside that, it seemed that the beta player had players like him in mind as the players had set up an internet platform where those that had gold coins were willing to sell them for a price
It involved certain risks as you might get ambushed by other players and lose anything valuable you had on you, PK killing was another thing to consider when purchasing coins illegally
Another thing mentioned was Auction houses which were accessible once some one reached level 25.
Guilds would be unlocked once the first player reaches level 50
The guide also mentioned many things that Allen felt that even the beta players shouldn't know such as what changes had happened in the world
Such as what the kingdoms that appeared were and which races they belonged to
The whole worlds geography had changed to accommodate the new people that appeared as well as certain other things
Dungeons, Trap Dungeons, Dungeon Breaks, Jobs and Sub Jobs, Other Races and many other things were disclosed in the pdf
It seemed more like some main character that was trying to make sure the humans were prepared to face the apocalypse which was rather true
Allen just didn't know how close to the truth he was right now
