Nitocris : Standing Out From the Crowd Edition

Xing Han and Nitocris were out on a date today.

Since Xing Han had been wanting to go to an amusement park for a long time, Nitocris had reluctantly brought him here.

However, seeing Xing Han's happy face and joyful beaming, Nitocris felt his previous apprehension fade away. After all, what did he have to fear?

And if his puppy thought that he was going to come here with anyone else, he was dead wrong.

Knowing Xing Han and his adorable cuteness, he would go out, play around in the amusement park a few rounds, and attract a boat load of suitors that would fight Nitocris for his hand.

The thought was the last straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak.

Look at his puppy!

With his beaming and innocent face, was this not the type of face that attracted those pesky kinds of stalkers that were too introverted and perverted for normal social interaction?

Unacceptable!

So, Nitocris was here to take his puppy out on a date, but also to ward off whatever pesky flies that tried to fly close to the sun and ward them off.

The amusement park was crowded since it was a weekend. While Nitocris would have liked to come on a weekday, Xing Han had to take care of business, after all.

"Cookie, that one!" Xing Han all but bounced forward, his eyes glistening with such happiness that Nitocris felt his entire being bathed in soft, warm sunlight from his puppy's smile.

Xing Han bounced forward, but Nitocris calmly pulled his hand back, threading their fingers together. Xing Han didn't notice as he continued bouncing on the spot, pulling attention towards them.

See! He was already attracting so many flies' attention to him. His puppy was too cute and too blinding for his own good!

Various people, both male and female, turned their heads to look at the couple as they passed, but unbeknownst to Nitocris, it wasn't because of Xing Han.

Nitocris himself was a looker, and his height was far above the average population. Because his features were usually set in a cold, expressionless look, he came off as cold and aloof, yet he was here in an amusement park, stunning the people there.

Since Nitocris' cold look faded when he looked at Xing Han, a warm, flickering ember in his eyes, his icy cold features melted, causing not just one but many females and some males to bump into each other when they saw him.

Of course, Nitocris noticed the way females were collapsing left and right but thought that it was Xing Han causing it instead. His killing intent spiked, warning them not to get near.

Xing Han pulled his cookie forward by the hand, incomparably excited.

"Let's go to the gift shop first!"

Xing Han let go of Nitocris' hand the moment they stepped into the shop, dashing off with glee and happiness.

Nitocris looked at his slowly cooling hand and felt desolate.

Xing Han dashed around with sparkly eyes, ooh-ing and ah-ing at the various merchandise on display. In the end, he picked up two pairs of matching cat ears, grinning when he imagined his cookie wearing it with his cold features.

The man headed to the cashier to pay, placing the two cat ears on the counter, digging for his wallet to pay. He frowned, realizing that he'd forgotten to bring it out since he had all but dragged his cookie out with excitement.

Xing Han smiled politely at the cashier, who smiled back at him, charmed. He hesitated briefly, yet he still wanted to see his cookie with it on so badly!

Xing Han pressed speed dial 1 on his phone, calling his lover. "Cookie, can you come to the cashier for a moment?"

The cashier felt her smile creep up at the cutesy nickname that was heard over the phone. She was right! This man here was here as a couple, and he looked so genuinely happy that she felt happy for him too. It was always nice to see couples that were so in love in the gift shop.

It was only a moment later when a tall, stunningly handsome man came over. His features were cool and aloof, his face naturally set in an indifferent look. The cashier felt her heart pound as he came closer.

Xing Han turned around and beamed, his eyes sparkling even brighter now. "Cookie! I forgot to bring my wallet."

The cashier was thunderstruck. Cookie?

Cookie?!

He was calling this cold man 'cookie' of all things?!

"Mm," Nitocris said, his eyes landing on the cashier's face. He pressed a chaste kiss to his puppy's cheek, pulling out his wallet obligingly.

Xing Han beamed at him, his cheeks gaining just the barest hints of a flush.

"Can you pull off the tags for us?"

The cashier absently nodded her head, her eyes still blank as she moved on autopilot.

Xing Han took the cat ears and stuck it on the aloof man's head, and the cashier felt like screaming.

Nitocris didn't resist, only looking at his puppy. He brushed soft hair behind his puppy's ears, his fingers lingering and drawing a shiver from his lover, placing the matching cat ears on his face.

"Very cute," Nitocris said seriously.

Xing Han too was staring at the sight that his cookie made. There was something that he couldn't describe when he saw the black cat ears on his cookie's head. Was this… was this what they called gap moe!?

The couple left hand in hand, but not before Xing Han thanked the cashier for her help. Nitocris' hand tightened slightly.

The cashier thumped her chest, burying her face in her hands, screaming silently. Ah, they were soooo cute together! She had just become a fujoshi…

Meanwhile, Xing Han and Nitocris had went on all the exciting rides, Nitocris buying all the photos that had been taken on the rides without blinking. These were all treasured memories, and his puppy was making a cute face in all of them.

Xing Han looked at the photos with dark lines on his head. Was this some sort of revenge! He was screaming in every photo while his cookie still looked so calm and composed in comparison.

The lights in the sky were dimming, and there was only one place left for them to visit.

There wasn't a long queue for the ferris wheel, so they managed to get on relatively quickly. They ignored the strange look that the operator gave them as two men boarded together.

The ride moved slowly, and both lovers sat on opposite ends.

Xing Han placed a hand on the transparent glass keeping them separate from the outside world, the smile on his face couldn't be contained at any moment.

He was happy.

He really was.

He knew that Nitocris didn't like coming to these types of places, yet the man had accompanied him the entire day without a single complaint, compliantly going along with his every whim and fancy, even wearing the cat ears the entire time.

His heart felt soft, like a ball of cotton candy, sweet and able to melt with just a mouthful. That was how Xing Han felt right now. He had never been happier, with this man as his partner.

Nitocris moved over beside Xing Han, wrapping a hand possessively around his waist. He pressed a kiss to his cheek lovingly, and his eyes were so soft that Xing Han couldn't breathe.

He couldn't put his thoughts into words. Just how had he managed to capture the heart of this man, he would never know, but he was thankful and grateful for it every day.

Nitocris was similarly enthralled by the soft light that bathed his puppy in a halo, casting him in an angelic and natural light. Even without the photos, this sight had been burned into his memories for eternity.

His puppy was all he needed in life, and for him, he would give everything.

When they reached the top of the ferris wheel, as if attracted together, they exchanged the first kiss of since they'd stepped into the amusement park.

There was no pressure or any hard emotions. Their love flowed between them like sweet syrup. Slowly, slowly.

Their hears beat as one heartbeat, as if confirming their vows to remain together for eternity.

There were no words exchanged between them, yet they could hear it as clear as day.

'I love you.'

'I love you.'

'I love you, and only you.'

'For now, for eternity, my heart is yours.'
