chapter 4

After regaining their composure, they continued to follow Tompa until he entered a small restaurant. Imori followed him inside.

The waiter greeted them: "Welcome, dear customers, what would you like to order?"

Tompa replied, "Hello, I would like the Dragon Boy spicy menu for one."

The waiter asked, "How would you like it?"

Tompa replied, "On-site, with a powerful breath, in a room."

The waiter smiled and said, "Very good choice, please wait in room 3."

Tompa headed to room 3. The waiter then turned his gaze to Imori, just as other customers were entering the restaurant. It was Amori and Umori.

The waiter greeted them: "Dear customers, hello. What would you like to order?"

Amori replied, looking at the waiter: "Does it work if we say we want the same thing as the big guy earlier?"

The waiter responded: "Ah, you don't even want to make an effort, young ones! I'll bring you our Dragon Boy. Please proceed to room 3 with your friend."

They nodded and went to room 3. Tompa was already gone. After two minutes, they realized the room was not a room but an elevator. It began to shake and they started to descend. In less than two minutes, they arrived at their destination. The elevator opened and as soon as they took two steps, they felt several eyes on them. The other candidates were evaluating them to determine if they posed a threat.

A man in green approached: "Gentlemen, welcome. Here is your respective number." They received the following numbers: Amori 317, Umori 318, Imori 319.

After receiving their badges, they found a corner to discuss mundane things to avoid revealing information to the other participants.

Amori reminded them: "Don't forget why we're here. Don't start anything you can't handle. Death can come to anyone." Imori and Umori nodded without lowering their guard. Even though the exam hadn't started yet, no rule forbade immediate fighting. While looking among the participants, Amori recognized some of them, but one in particular made him shiver. Hisoka, this guy was known to be a madman, a dangerous joker. Amori had to find a way to inform his brothers of Hisoka's presence, as he had forgotten that Hisoka was participating in this year's exam.

Meanwhile, other candidates were entering. The only person Amori recognized was the bee girl, whose name he didn't remember, deemed unimportant to him. Thirty minutes passed before a man without a mouth stepped forward and announced: "The Hunter exam for the 286th promotion is about to begin. I will supervise the first test." The participants were fixated on the examiner, hanging on his every word.

The examiner announced: "The test is to follow me."

Some participants were not surprised by the test, probably used to it or confident in their abilities. Others, surprised, didn't seem scared, thinking the Hunter exam shouldn't be that difficult. After announcing the test, the examiner turned and began to walk briskly. Amori signaled Imori and Umori to follow him. They stayed together to avoid certain traps, staying at the end of the group to monitor their competitors during the course.

Amori warned his brothers: "Among the candidates this year, the most dangerous is the clown number 69. If you find yourself alone with him or even in a group, abandon immediately."

Imori added: "Number 27 is also dangerous. I passed by him, he reeked of poison and did nothing to hide it."

Umori and Imori shared their concerns about the candidates to watch out for. They took note of each candidate to avoid or considered too dangerous. Suddenly, the walk turned into a run. In less than three hours, out of 387 candidates, about fifty had already given up. And this was just the beginning
