Sorting Mess

It was almost noon by the time both the sisters were done eating and freshening up. Their Mom had to leave for St. Mungo's when they were in the middle of their breakfast.

"What to do now? I was thinking of visiting Al's and Sten's places first." Sierra suggested.

"Ya, let's do that. At least we'll be able to come up with something together," Kar agreed.

She called out loud, "Peach."

And just as her voice died, there was a pop.

"Yes, miss Karalyn." Peach asked.

"We want to visit the Knight's place today. Will that be possible, Peach?"

"Yes, miss. But young master Alpheus already plans to visit you today. An owl arrived when you were freshening up, I was just about to deliver it."

"Oh, when is Al arriving? " Sierra asked.

"In an hour, miss Sierra."

"That's good. Send him to my room when he arrives, Peach. We'll be waiting there." Karalyn said.

"Alright, miss."

Both the White sisters were waiting in Kar's room, reading some of the books on magic that they were able to find in the Library when Alpheus arrived. He looked about 10.

Sierra hugged him as soon she saw him. He is her favorite cousin, though she loved all of them.

"Hey, Al. When did you wake up?" Kar asked as she came to hug him.

"Yesterday at about 6p.m. You?"

"At 9p.m. And Sia at 9a.m. today. This is all so messed up."

Sierra and Alpheus laughed at that. It was quite weird to hear an eight year old curse.

"Hm. I think before we start talking, we should call Sten and Sam too." Alpheus said after calming down.

"Ya." Sierra agreed. "Peach."

"Can you visit Sten and Sam's place and ask if we will be able to have them with us."

"Yes, miss." with a pop the elf was gone.

Half an hour later, the five siblings were all sitting on Karalyn's bed in a circle. Sierra observed how all of them looked so innocent.

She looked very fair and her hair still has those blond streaks in them.

Karalyn still gave off that I-don't-give-a-damn vibe, but it seemed softer than before. She looked less like the rebel that she was. And the tattoos that she had gotten on her 18th birthday were also missing (of course).

Alpheus still had his curly hair, but he did not have spectacles yet. Though he was only 10, he still looked quite mature.

Stensen on the other hand did not resemb the tall fit boy that she remembered. Ya, the face structure was still the same, but he looked like a fluff ball now.

Sam has become cuter than before, like a kitten.ᓚᘏᗢ But his flirty playboy personality that everyone fell in love with was missing.

[Awww.]

"So, How much information has everyone collected till now?" Al asked.

"We are in the wizarding world where magic exists," Kar said.

"And to me, it seems like none of my parents is a muggle," Al said. "Ours too," Sten added.

"And our father works at the Ministry in the Auror department and mom at St. Mungo's," I said.

"Dad at the Ministry in the department of International Magical Cooperation and mom is a housewife," Al added.

"Dad at the Ministry in the Department of Magical Transportation and mom runs a shop in Diagon Alley," Sam continued.

They all grimaced. All of their fathers worked at the Ministry. That was not a good thing.

"Oh, and the year is 1985," Sierra reminded.

"That's one of the biggest problems," Alpheus said.

"Ya. I don't even know any songs from this period," Sten added. They all laughed though all of them agreed.

They had never paid much attention to anything from the 20th century. When Sia was 8, their family had transferred to India for 5 years as her dad had a project there. That was when they had gotten a little tanned losing the usual paleness and learned Hindi. Their grandparents (both maternal and paternal) were from India orignally, so staying there was fun for the kids. But because of this, they had never really read about British history. And though the brothers had spent relatively more time in London, they too were more inclined towards science.

"It is a good thing that the wizarding world won't need much knowledge from the muggle side," Karalyn said.

"And we are still kids. We have no knowledge." Samuel smirked agreeing with her.

They all nodded. He was correct, they were still kids, they could learn and adapt.

"Now to the next problem. If my memory is correct, which I think it is, and if this is like the books. Then Harry Potter is a year older than Sia." Kar pointed.

"No matter what we need to be prepared," Alpheus said nodding.

"I think we should try finding if we can control our magic," Sierra suggested excitedly.

"Good idea." they all agreed.

And with that they all started to try and feel something or tried to make something happen.

But even after almost one hour of futile attempts, only Kar and Al were able to lift a pencil very slightly, just a few centimeters. And that too happened when Kar lost her patience and got angry.

"This means that emotions and intentions are important factors while performing magic," Alpheus noted.

"But then I should have been able to do it too, as I lost my patience quite early," Sia huffed and pouted.

"I don't think you have performed accidental magic yet, Sia," Kar said.

"Hmm. Plausible."

"I think I was able to feel something but, it was too weak. I will have to try harder," Sten said. "And I was not able to feel anything," Sam informed shrugging.

"We are in the same boat, Sam, poor us," Sia joked making an exaggerated pitiful face. They all smiled.

"I think I will ask my parents to get me a tutor for occlumency. You should too, Kar," Al suggested. "Hmm," she agreed.

"Alright then. It is 5 now. We should get going," Sten said.

They all bid their goodbyes and left.
