The Sweetest Plant
One sunny morning, a boy named Eli was walking in his grandma's garden. He loved visiting her on weekends. Her garden was full of flowers, vegetables, and tiny fruit trees.
"Eli," Grandma said, "today I have a special surprise for you!"
Eli's eyes lit up. "What is it?"
Grandma smiled and pointed to a small pot. "This is a magic plant. But it needs something different to grow."
"What does it need?" Eli asked.
Grandma whispered, "It doesn't grow with just water and sunlight. This plant needs a tiny bit of sugar!"
"Sugar? Like the kind in cookies?" Eli laughed.
"Yes," Grandma said. "Just a spoonful each day. But you must take care of it with love."
Eli was excited. He named the plant Sweetie.
Every morning, he gave Sweetie a little sugar water. He made sure it had enough sunlight and even talked to it.
