Necromancer saves the day [BL]

Jua Gu peered at the young man struggling to climb out of a deadly pit. "Do you need my help? I'll climb down and assist you," he gestured from atop the cliff. "I don't need your help!" the young protagonist shouted, gritting his teeth. "Really?" Jua Gu blankly gazed down at him. "Really, I can do it on my own..." the next second, the young man tumbled down from the great height, falling to his death. "For God's sake!" Jua Gu howled. "This is the tenth time he has died! Why won't he accept my help?" He quickly rewound time until the young man was hanging for his life. This time as well, the young man gritted his teeth and shouted that he didn't need his help. "But I need you alive, buddy!" Jua Gu climbed down and grabbed him by the waist. "The world depends on it, and for God's sake, if you die again, I will kill myself." The young protagonist's eyes shone brightly. "You love me so much that you can't live without me?" He hugged Jua Gu's waist tightly. Jua Gu raised a brow. "No." The young man smirked mysteriously. "It's okay to love me." "No, I don't!" "Because I love you too." "You misunderstood!" Jua Gu, panting, gazed at the lunatic. "Why does every single protagonist think I love them?!" "Because you're lovable," the young protagonist grinned widely.

Chapter 14 - Sodomy?!

Jua Gu ate the hospital dinner while gazing intently at the young nurse. She had been nonstop reading her books without taking a single look at him. "Is it good?"

"Hmm, very good," she mumbled with a strange grin on her face.

"Can you lend me some of your books?"

"No, it's not for kids." She gazed at him with her brows raised.

He let that matter go and happily gazed out the window, enjoying the spring breeze.

Country C, the country he was born in, was an eternally cold ice land. Everyone wore thick bear coats, and their faces would always be covered with a layer of snow and frost.

Seeing such a green, vibrant sight was such a rarity.

A rarity that he did not enjoy in his last life.

He enjoyed it as much as he could.

Slowly the sun set behind the towering concrete buildings, casting the whole city in a beautiful orange glow.

He raised a hand, touching the warm light shining from between the fluttering curtains. His cold skin instantly turned slightly warm.

"This world is so beautiful. I guess it's worth saving."

But the method as to how was still a mystery.

Jua Gu let out a soft sigh.

The glowing sun had receded, leaving behind darkness. The ward's overhead lights were still on, casting a harsh artificial light on him.

He laid down on the bed, hugging the sheets over his face, dazedly gazing at the blurry shadows of the overhead lights.

'Do I even deserve this comfort?'

After the loss of his precious master, he undertook the path of revenge, and along the way, he had killed a lot of innocent lives. His soul should be roasting in hell for all the sins he had committed, not lying in a warm bed.

'Retributing system, huh? Maybe this is my living hell. This is to pay back for all the people I have sinned upon.' He closed his eyes tightly.

Before he could realize it, the overhead lights were switched off.

He removed the sheet off his face and gazed at the nurse next to him. She was currently sleeping with her head on his bed. The book she had been reading was carelessly spread out by his feet.

'Hmmm, I'm technically an adult so I can read them...' He secretly pushed the book up to his hand and picked it up.

In dim light, he was not able to make out much.

Sighing, he placed it down. 'I'll read it after sunrise.'

Without even realizing it, sleep overtook his consciousness. The next time he opened his eyes, the overhead lights were switched on, and the sun had risen.

Dazedly, he looked at the foot of the bed.

The nurse was nowhere to be seen.

Instead, there was a smaller figure sitting on the other side of his bed.

"You're finally awake. It's ten a.m." Ying Mao mumbled, gazing at him with his brows raised. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm good." Jua Gu took a look at the young master. He was dressed in a white hoodie and casual pants. But what stood out was his hair. It was tussled as if the owner had just woken up and rolled out of bed.

'Gosh, he looks so cute… just like my shidi.' He gently touched the top of his head, touching his soft locks. "Did you have your breakfast?"

"I did." The boy pushed his hand away. "Do you feel pain now?"

Jua Gu nodded. He was in excruciating pain all the time that he slowly got used to this feeling.

"What did the doctors say?"

"They said I'm recovering fast."

That was the only saving grace of this weak body. Even though he got fractured bones often, he was able to heal much faster than normal people.

"Good." The young boy stoically gazed at him.

Noticing his unblinking gaze, Jua Gu gently touched his face. "What is it?"

"Nothing." The boy pushed his hand away. "Do you like having such perverted hobbies? Tsk, you're really promiscuous."

"Huh?"

He was utterly confused. 'Was touching a kid's head considered… perverted?'

But then he noticed the young boy's gaze focused on his pillow.

Looking up, he saw the book. On the cover were two men hugging and kissing each other naked from the waist up.

He hurriedly hid it under his pillow. "Kids must not see this!"

"What? You're a kid too!"

Jua Gu shook his head hurriedly. 'No wonder the nurse said it was inappropriate for me… this… this book contains sodomy… why was she even reading this in public!! This is illegal, right?'

He started to sweat.

Sodomy was considered a crime in their world. The accused would be hanged in front of the whole city.

"Why are you overreacting? It's just a gay book. Read it if you want to."

Jua snapped out of his panicked state. "W-what? It's okay to read such books?"

"Yeah…" Ying Mao gazed him up and down. "Jua Gu, did you really forget everything? This book is just a small sample. You actually did much worse than that cover. My brother never tried to hide it anyway."

Jua Gu felt a massive headache forming. 'Aghh, what kind of body did I inherit...'
