Chapter 19: THE SHARINGAN

"Huh?!" Uchiha Obito almost fell off his stool when he heard those words, staring at Yuuki Yuichi in disbelief.

Not only him, but all the kids around him were looking at Yuuki Yuichi, equally shocked.

"Why are you all looking at me?" Yuuki Yuichi asked, tilting his head, then casually applied the eye drops Obito had given him.

Nohara Rin watched, pressing her hands to her chest, unsure how to respond. "Yuichi, the Sharingan is something only the Uchiha clan can awaken."

Yuuki Yuichi threw the eye drops back to Uchiha Obito after feeling the coolness in his eyes. "It's fine to try, right? You never know."

"How is that possible!" Obito sneered, jumping up. "There's no way you could awaken it!"

But before he could finish his sentence, Yuuki Yuichi opened his eyes—now transformed into the distinctive red Sharingan.

"You! You! You!!!" Obito pointed at him, trembling, his eyes wide with disbelief. "How could you awaken the Sharingan?!"

Yuuki Yuichi felt the cool sensation in his eyes intensify. The world around him seemed to change—colors became more vibrant, and everyone's movements slowed down slightly. He could even make out the tiniest details, like the movements of a lizard far off on a tree.

This was the power of the Sharingan, offering him hypnotic, perceptive, and eventually, copying abilities. For now, with the 1.5 magatama Sharingan inherited from Uchiha Sasuke, Yuuki could only see through movements and assist with casting genjutsu.

Meanwhile, Uchiha Obito was in a state of utter confusion. As a lesser-regarded member of the Uchiha clan, he didn't know much about the Sharingan, except that it had different stages: one, two, and three magatama. But even so, he knew that only someone with Uchiha blood could awaken the Sharingan.

Seeing Obito's stunned face, Yuuki Yuichi smirked. "Isn't it enough to just have eyes?"

His words struck like a dagger to Obito's pride. "Could the eye drops really be the key?" Obito muttered, doubting everything.

Yuuki Yuichi left with a laugh, having pulled Might Guy aside earlier to complete his "experiment." Unlocking the Sharingan through this chain of events was a pleasant surprise.

As for exposing his Sharingan, Yuuki wasn't concerned. His father was from the Uzumaki clan, and with allies like Uncle Shinku, Uzumaki Kushina, Namikaze Minato, and even Jiraiya, Yuuki knew he had ample protection within Konoha. Danzo and Sarutobi Hiruzen wouldn't dare make a move against him—especially not with a Jinchuriki like Kushina in his corner.

Feeling assured, Yuuki Yuichi made his way home, where he found Yuhi Shinku watching TV, with his daughter sitting next to him eating fruit.

Upon hearing the door open, Yuhi Shinku's daughter, excited, jumped up and ran to greet him. "Yuichi!"

Yuhi Shinku sighed in exasperation, staring blankly at the TV. "Family... who understands," he grumbled inwardly, feeling like his daughter had been 'stolen' by Yuuki.

"I'm back!" Yuuki said cheerfully.

Yuhi Shinku didn't even turn away from the TV. "Oh."

"Uncle Shinku!" Yuuki Yuichi stood in front of the TV, waving.

"Yeah, yeah, I see you. Move aside," Yuhi Shinku sighed again.

But Yuuki grinned and pointed to his eyes. "Look at this!"

Yuhi Shinku glanced lazily in Yuuki's direction, but his expression quickly shifted from disinterest to shock when he saw the Sharingan in Yuuki's eyes.

"Sharingan?! When did you awaken the Sharingan?" Yuhi Shinku's tone grew serious.

Yuuki Yuichi casually replied, "Just now."

"How did you awaken it?" Yuhi Shinku asked, anxiety creeping into his voice. He was beginning to wonder if Yuuki had done something drastic—like killing a close friend—to unlock the powerful Uchiha ability.

Sensing Yuhi's concern, Yuuki Yuichi quickly explained the situation with Uchiha Obito and how he had borrowed his eye drops. However, he conveniently left out the part where he had beaten Obito.

After hearing the full story, Yuhi Shinku's expression became conflicted. He had seen countless Uchiha desperately striving to awaken the Sharingan through dangerous missions or intense training, yet here Yuuki was, doing it through something as mundane as eye drops. It was so ridiculous that it almost seemed funny.

"Good boy, I knew you were something special!" Yuhi Shinku clapped Yuuki on the shoulder with a proud smile. "I've always said you would become a powerful ninja someday."

Yuuki Yuichi could only smile back, unsure of how to respond to the quick turnaround in Yuhi Shinku's attitude.
