The Beginning

--3 Years Later--

"Good both of you. Look at my sons, two of the greatest geniuses the Hyuga clan has ever seen!" Hizashi, who looks near identical to his brother Hiashi, praises his two sons who were practicing the Kata's of the Gentle fist technique.

The Gentle Fist is a form of hand-to-hand combat used by members of the Hyūga clan. It inflicts internal damage through attacking the body's Chakra Pathway System, subsequently injuring organs which are closely intertwined with the area of the network which has been struck.

It is a very defensive technique meant to be used to slowly weaken your opponent while providing a powerful defense.

The two boys then smile and slightly bow their heads glad for the praise. Hizashi smiles as he looks at his two sons. The eldest is his son by blood Neji.

Neji has pale fair skin, long dark brown hair, and a very regal face which will in the future be very handsome. He like all the other members of the Hyuga has featureless white eyes which house the Byakugan.

He then turns to face his youngest son Zenoshiki. Is slightly shorter than Neji, but Other than his eyes, he looks completely different. Zenoshiki has long silky white hair with peculiar black and yellow streaks.

He also has incredibly fair snow white skin, and a crown of small 1.7 inch white horns with yellow tips with the front two horns being nearly 3 inches tall. One could even question if the boy was Human, but of course he was. What else could he be?

Although Zenoshiki was not born to him he had quickly taken to the young boy and treated him the same as Neji.

After his wife died in childbirth, he had not had time to grieve for long as he wanted to personally care for his two children rather than leave them in the hands of the nurses.

Just a few months ago the two of them had turned three. After turning three he helped Neji unlock his chakra and pretended to do the same for Zenoshiki, who already had his opened.

Through these past few months he quickly realized that both his children are geniuses. Neji has a rather large chakra pool for his age, but Zeno's is perhaps the second largest in the village for his age, second only to the poor jinchuriki boy.

Not only are they're chakra levels high, but they also quickly learned nearly all of the basic Kata's in the Gentle Fist Technique. While they of course were far from mastering the Kata's, they had the basic motions down.

However there was one thing that is irking Hizashi. After considering his choices for a moment he then turned to Zeno.

"Zeno, do you not like the Gentle Fist?" He asks in a gentle and warm voice.

Zenoshiki hesitates for a moment before nodding, "I'm sorry Father, I dwon't. It feels weird."

Neji nods but stays silent. He also noticed that something was off with his brother's Kata's.

Hizashi nods, "I thought so. I don't think that the Gentle Fist Technique suits you. You are too fierce in your movements and you don't have the gentle and graceful fighting mentality of most Hyuga's."

Zenoshiki looks down slightly depressed as he worries that he will fall behind because of this. After a moment he decides to voice his concern, "Um, Father, I will try harder. I can learn it."

Hizashi shakes his head, "I'm sure you could, but learning it will stunt your growth, instead, I would like to teach you a technique that I have been developing. I believe it will suit you perfectly."

Zenoshiki looks up excitedly and nods with a big smile, "Yes please!"

Neji also has a slight smile on his face. His father had told him once when they were alone about the style he had been creating. 'So, brother will be learning father's technique? This will be interesting.' He thinks to himself.

Hizashi then turns to Neji, "Neji, could you perhaps practice Leaf Concentration Practice on your own for a few moments and train your chakra control while I teach Zeno?"

Neji nods, "Yes father." Before turning and heading into the courtyard and sitting beneath a tree to begin the exercise.

Hizashi then turns to Zenoshiki and begins to speak, "Are you ready?"

Zenoshiki nods excitedly as he then sits with his knees folded under him. Seeing this Hizashi then begins, "What I am about to teach you is a brother of the Gentle Fist Technique. It's called the Searing Fist Technique. As I have already taught you, the Gentle fist is very defensive and is used to slowly disable your enemy.

But the Searing Fist Technique is extremely aggressive. It sacrifices defense for attack. Unlike the gentle fist which is used to slowly disable your opponent and wear down their defense, the Searing Fist aim's to shatter your opponents defense.

When you strike with the Searing fist, instead of cutting off the pathways by using a quick and sharp blade of chakra, you will instead burn them away with powerful blasts of chakra.

While this is less effective in disabling your opponents and they can usually still use the pathway it will greatly decrease their control.

While it's less effective in that area, its advantage is that each strike causes far more damage and it can break through many strong defenses that the Gentle Fist cannot.

The final benefit of using the searing fist is that it's far more versatile as it also includes kicks, something that the Gentle Fist is strictly against. Do you understand?"

Zenoshiki nods dutifully as he tries his best to memorize what his father just explained. However, he is unable to hide the excitement on his face. "Yes father!"

Hizashi smiles, "Don't worry if you don't remember it all at once. Under the rightmost floorboard in my room, I have a crate filled with scrolls with all the instructions I have made for it so far. So don't worry you can always use those to review."

Zenoshiki then nods understandingly. After a few moments Hiashi then asks, "So, are you ready to begin?"
