Ch 21 : To the battlefield!

Early in the morning the following day.

After spending a whole night with Konan, Chisaki went to the appointed meeting place where Sasori and Karura has been waiting for him.

" You are late, Chisaki!"

" Hehe, sorry. I have been lost in the way of life!"

The two children bickered with each other for a bit, and Karura, on the side could only smile at the conduct of the two little kids.

To Sasori and Karura, Dan might just be another Konoha Jonin, but Chisaki was no less familiar with this name.

The last sentence of the scroll made Chisaki frown. Based on his memories, even the ninja alliance took a lot of trouble to finally take down Dan Kato, and now the village sending just the three of them to this mission, he really didn't know what the village thinking was.

With everything ready, the group of three departed to the border, where the Suna's army confronted Konoha's army.

Since the three were only a small group, they moved around a lot faster than the normal ninja group. Although Chisaki and Sasori were still kids, they were one hailed as a Genius, and therefore they would have no problem reaching a normal Genin or even Chunin's speed.

A half day later...

" Sasori, Chisaki, we have just left the safe zone. We are no longer that far from the battlefield." Said Karura, explaining the condition of the battlefield to them.

"Then, I'll try to use my abilities to recognisance."Said Chisaki as he closed his eyes.

After the short mental breakdown when his father died, Chisaki began to realize that his ability was not as simple as he thought.

' Let's see, since the area was filled with sands, I'll use the sand to check whether there was trap or ambush laid in front of us.'

The group of three continued to move forwards. Every 500 meters, Chisaki would explore the surroundings to confirm safety. After going 5 kilometers in, he finally found some Konoha Ninjas waiting for them in an ambush.
