Naruto: Ninja for Hire

I know this is where I should tell you about how I sacrificed my life to save a young boy or girl and got hit by the legendary reincarnation truck. But, honestly, I have no idea what is going on.

I try to move and press the keys, however I noticed that I didn't have a body, which.... was just weird, even weirder the keys I wanted to press clicked themselves as if I had pressed them.

Everything other than Naruto was blocked out for some reason. I stared at the name and recalled an anime I have watched years ago about ninjas, one I liked very much. With no other choices available I selected it.

Depending on what time period I land in, I guess living in the hidden leaf village will be better than the stone, mist or sand. The cloud may have its flaws but not many traitors, psychopathic jinchuriki, or blood purists. Plus they are pretty quiet until near the 4th ninja war.

My clan situation looked rather... strange. So, I wouldn't be part of a clan, but, maybe I was descended from two clans? Does that mean I wouldn't be able to use their special abilities? Ahhhhhhh all these questions and no answers is driving me CRAZY!!!!

After a while feeling slightly depressed I let out a small sigh, which let me tell you, just feels weird when you have no body. Whatever, might as well accept. I quickly pressed the quick yes button.

Whoa!? ok. So my system seems to have some kind of issue, It has simplified in a way, I was no longer showing any stats, just the level of my body and my chakra level.

Ok, ok no use in complaining about it, this basic system is better than no system at all. So let's sort this out. I wouldn't be able to get skills just by picking up scrolls or doing the same action again and again, I would need to actually put in some work to get stronger.

I wouldn't be able to get points to put in my stats either, I would need to train my body and chakra like everyone else, great as if I won't have enough to do.

I would get some quests, but it says that they are limited, but not in what way, would I only have so many in a day or week? or maybe I would have a main quest and no side quests? or vise versa?

I would have an inventory but it would be limited..... Limited to what though!?

Ok lastly I can create a custom skill or equipment or item or a combination of them. I wonder does that mean I can create a piece of equipment with a skill built in to it? like a piece of amour with a healing skill or a weapon with an attack skill? I can also pick out a skill the system already has in place, though I feel if I select gaming system the same error will occur.

Well might as well get a move on with it.

After a while I had created my custom equipment (This will be a surprise :))

I had also selected Instant mastery from the system library's list, however a message appeared saying it was quote *Broken* and again quote *Attempted to repair* leaving me with a quick learner trait, according to the description it allowed me to learn things much faster than ordinary people, whether I was being taught by someone or learning on by myself, I would be in a class of my own. I would be regarded as a prodigy or genius just based on this trait alone.

As I finished reading the the darkness that filled my surroundings fell away. I felt my body laying on something very soft. I moved my new body and got up from what I assume is my bed. I looked around the room and saw dirty walls, bare furniture and a few sets of clothes piled up in the corner.

Memories flooded in to my mind, this was my room, I've lived here since my parents died, I remember almost everything about my life. My parents raising me, loving me, the last day I saw them. I felt a small tear form in my eye and fall down my cheek. Strange, I know I didn't really experience these things, but it felt more real than anything else I had experience since this whole situation began.

I turned to see an old woman walking through the door. She had black hair and eyes, she was wearing a black gown with a white apron and a white coif that covered her hair.
