Volume I: Beginning End Chapter 9: Hyuga Affair

I'm nine years old now, and it's been three years since I got my memories. Last year has been fun, playing around with Shika, talking with Naruto from time to time, being in the clan meeting and the joint clan meeting of the Nara-Akimichi-Yamanaka alliance, working in the Yamanaka flower shop as a mission, and even being a waiter Yakiniku Q, and having a get together at the Ichiraku with Izumi, Hana, Itachi and Me. 

Other than monitoring Naruto, Inoichi-san has been giving me missions to do that are only a half day's travel from the village. So that I could come back to the village by the time I have to report for the duty of monitoring Naruto. 

Most of it is information gathering from the merchants, finding the route to the bandit hideouts, being a logistics person to carry the supply for the border patrol etc... were some of the missions I have taken. And if my calculations are correct then, I have almost completed fifty missions. That's because monitoring Naruto is a monthly mission for me, because of that my thirty-six missions are monitoring him and the rest fourteen are the other C Rank missions and D Rank missions. Thanks to that I've got lots of money in my hand so as a good citizen I am, I started to write some novels, adult novels to be exactly like the Icha Icha Paradise by Jiraiya. I've only started to write about it, to publish I'll need to be Jonin so that I could get some free time and they won't mind me going out of the village for a long time. 

Right now I'm on my way to the Hokage office with Inoichi-san as uncle and the Third has called us for a special mission. I don't know what this is about but I hope that it won't be boring. 

As we were reaching the Hokage office, Inoichi-san asked me "Are you nervous?"

"Nope."

"And why is that?"

"Well, it's just uncle Shikaku and the Third, there won't be anyone else. That's what my uncle said."

Hearing this Inoichi-san just smiled and we entered the office and I saw the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, sitting in his chair with the Hokage attire and uncle Shikaku standing behind him. 

Seeing us, Hokage said "Inoichi and Bokuto, you're on time. We will make it short."

"Hai Hokage-sama." We both said. 

Nodding at us, Hokage looked at uncle Shikaku and said "Shikaku, explain the details for them."

"Hai." Saying that uncle looked at us and said "In a week, we will be having some Kumo Shinobi in Konoha. And their team will be led by a Jonin ninja of theirs. So your job is to monitor them, the Anbu will be watching them too."

"That's it?" I asked in confusion. 

"No." The Hokage answered me and continued "We know that your specialities are infiltration and information gathering. So I would like you to find out if there's any kind of nefarious plan on their part. As they have already tried to take one of ours during the second Ninja war." 

'That must be the time when the Kumo Ninja tried to kidnap Kushina.' Thinking that I asked the three of them for confirmation "So, you need me, a genin, to find out about the real intentions of the Kumo Ninja and inform any of you about it?"

"Yes. This will be a B Rank mission only for you, but we're giving you full authority to take action if there's no time to inform us, but make sure to capture them alive, don't kill them." Hokage said

"Hai."

"Good, you can leave now. But Inoichi stood back."

"Yes." After that, I left the office to stack up my supplies and to be ready for whatever is coming.

A week after I got the B Rank mission to get information and spy on the Head Ninja of Kumogakure this time, he arrived in Konoha with an envoy and he was assigned to one of the best inns in Konoha, there wasn't any kind of movement when they arrived for the first day. So as my mission I sent three shadow constructs to each of the envoys, including the Head Ninja.

On the first night they arrived I didn't get any signals from my shadow constructs, so I thought that there would be nothing going on. But on the evening of the second day, the envoy was invited to the birthday of Hyuga princess, Hinata. The Nara clan was also invited so I went with my uncle to greet Hinata for her birthday. After wishing her, I gave her a small gift, which was a necklace of a deer, as the symbol of the Nara clan. Then I went back to where my uncle and his team were, but they dumped the kids on me, so right now I'm babysitting the next generation Ino-Shika-Cho trio. I was watching them like Shika is sleeping while standing, Choji is eating his chips and Ino is looking around at the beautiful dresses of the guests while holding my hand. As this was going on the Head Ninja of Kumo entered the party with two other Jonin Ninjas from Kumo. So I observed him discreetly and saw that most of the time he was looking at the compound, and Hinata as if she was the precious thing in the world. Seeing this I thought 'Is he a pedo?'

As the party ended, I tailed the Head Ninja while I sent a shadow clone with my uncle, and another shadow clone with me so that I could send any important message to my uncle on time. 

As the Head Ninja reached the Inn he entered, so using the shadows to make me invisible I entered right after that, but instead of going to his designated room he went to the loo and created a clone and sent it to the room. And from there he used transformation jutsu to look like a civilian and went out. So I followed him to the Hyuga compound, when we reached there I said to my shadow clone "Inform uncle that the Kumo is after Hinata." Nodding at me the shadow clone dispelled itself, me and the shadow clone near uncle got the memories. A minute later I got memories from the shadow clone with a message from my uncle to engage in combat.

With their permission, I went ahead to Hinata's room, and I saw that she was still there, so I made a shadow clone and told it "Take care of Hinata and the Hyuga clan, I'll take on that idiot."

"Yes" With that said my shadow clone took Hinata from her bed and blended into the shadows, and I changed into Hinata and lay down on the bed. 

A minute later the Kumo Ninja arrived after making sure that no one saw him, and tied my hands and feet with rope, and shut my mouth with a cloth. I didn't resist him and he took me away from there. On the way, he didn't have any kind of trouble but a Hyuga clan member who was just outside to be in the presence of the moon saw a non-clan member in the compound so he activated his byakugan and saw me as Hinata. Seeing that he ran away to inform Hiashi and Hizashi about this. 

As we got at least three to five kilometres away from the village I got the memories from my shadow clone who was left behind to protect Hinata that Anbu has been dispatched and the Hokage have asked me to capture alive so that the T&I division can take care of him. 

Right as I got the memories I took action by using shadow paralysis jutsu on the ninja and a little bit of paralysis poison so that he won't kill himself by biting off his tongue. Thanks to the surprise attack easily subdued him and a couple of seconds later the Anbu arrived with Inoichi-san, looking at me he nodded at me with a little bit of pride. Smiling at him I watched as the Kumo Ninja was taken away by the Anbu to the T&I division. After I reached back to the village the Hokage issued an urgent mission to guard the village from every corner. 

The urgency of the situation led to every Konoha Anbu being dispatched out of the village on a single mission, leading to the village's key ninja being on standby in case fighting broke out.
