6 | Death

At the place far away from the village, where Minato gave his life to protect his son and Kushina who was on the verge of death, the barrier surrounding them started to wear down. Lord Third and two of his men rushed towards Kushina and the baby boy that was on the altar.

As they reached there, they saw Minato who had a big gaping hole on his stomach, Kushina who also had a hole on her stomach and looked haggard, lying next to Minato and a baby boy with blonde hair.

As Hiruzen went to pick up the baby, two of the other shinobi who were with him checked if Minato and Kushina were alive.

The shinobi who was checking Minato called out "Lord Fourth! Lord Fourth!" But there was no response.

The other shinobi who checked called out her name once "Kushina-sama."

"Take her to the hospital immediately! Summon the medical ninja." With the baby in his hand, he ordered the Ninja.

Before he could continue, Kushina said, "Lord Third.... please take care,..... of the kids." She's heartbroken that she has to leave Ichigo and Naruto in this world and go to the pure lands.

"Of course, you don't need to worry," Hiruzen assured her.

"His name is .... Naruto. Minato and I ..... picked it from... Jiraya Sensei's novel... make sure Ichigo knows about... Naruto."

"Naruto, you say? Fine. I take full responsibility for both Ichigo and Naruto. So for the sake of the children, you must rest!" Saying that he looked back at Kushina, only to see her dead.

"Kushina, I promise.... "

Hiruzen sighed and thought 'Ichigo will be an orphan again, and Naruto too.'

Just as he thought that three-man landed near Hiruzen seeing Minato on the ground dead a man who had two scars on the right side of his face which were probably his most noticeable feature, he had dark hair tied up into a spiky ponytail, dark eyes as well as a goatee, he muttered "Troublesome.... "

Next to him was a man with long ash blond hair reaching into his lower back, which he wore spiky on top and ending in a long ponytail, light green eyes and strong facial features, which included a well-defined jawline.

And the last person was a tall, plump man with naturally brown hair, but seems to wear a long, spiky red hair-piece. He has purple markings on his cheeks.

Seeing Minato and Kushina on the ground, both of them sighed, after all both of them were their friends.

Seeing these three Hiruzen said "Shikaku sent someone to get Ichigo, he should be with Naruto, even though Ichigo was adopted by both of them they always loved him just like real parents would. Inoichi, send a message to the jonins that the Nine-tailed beast is subdued. And Choza, get Kushina and Minato to the hospital. I'll take care of the baby."

"Hai Lord Third. "All three of them said that and went to do what they were ordered to do.

As they went on to do their duties, Hiruzen looking at the dark sky muttered "What am I going to do now."

Unknown to them, an orange blur came right after Kushina died from her injuries, and it disappeared in a second.

At the house of Minato and Kushina, inside Ichigo's room, we can hear the sound of crying and punching.

Inside the room was a mess, and Ichigo, who was in the middle of it, just cried his heart out while saying "If I just wished it was four years, I could have saved both of them. Damn it!"

Even though he got his memories of his past life and the meeting with the universe, those were all just memories and nothing more. He was sure that he was born in this world thanks to the universe, but the past five years where Kushina and Minato raised him as their son has made an impact on him, so the memories only started to hurt him as he thought about his wishes.

A couple of more minutes later he heard a knock on the front door. Knowing that it might be the ANBU or Kakashi, he wiped his tears away from his eyes and face. Then he walked towards the front door and opened it to see an ANBU member. Seeing Ichigo, the shinobi said, "Lord Third is calling you."

Ichigo just nodded at him and locked the door and went with the ANBU.

After walking for a bit, they reached the Konoha Hospital and went inside.

A couple of rooms later, the ANBU said "This is the room."

Ichigo opened the door and went inside, only to see a baby boy in the crib and Hiruzen sitting on a chair near the table with Shikaku.

Seeing Ichigo, Hiruzen said, "Ichigo-kun, come here."

So he went towards them and Hiruzen while taking a deep breath told Ichigo "Ichigo, this is your brother, Naruto."

Ichigo looked at Hiruzen and asked, "Where's Ka-san and Tou-san, Jiji?"

Hiruzen sighed, knowing full well that the news of Minato and Kushina dying will have a deep impact on Ichigo.

Then looking at Ichigo he said "I'm sorry Ichigo, but Minato and Kushina are dead."

Hearing that, Ichigo lowered his head and tears started to fall from his eyes onto the ground.
