Team E was one of the first to start following the Examinator; after a few minutes of sprinting, the entire team had left the plain where they were all located, and they were now hopping from tree to tree, while looking for potential traps that may have been set.

After an hour of running through the forest, two things happened: the forest became more dense, making traps harder to see, and the instructor did not slow down at all, making the trial more difficult because it was difficult to spot and avoid traps while keeping a fast pace to follow the instructor.

That is how they saw some genin jump into explosive traps or any other traps that the examiner had placed , all while jumping from tree to tree to follow the instructor.

They ran and jumped for another 3 hours, the only positive thing that happened during the run was that the forest became less dense, unfortunately while jumping from tree to tree Asato from team Y stepped into an explosive trap, he only had time to jump backward before the explosion, sadly for him he still got hit by the explosion even though he didn't have any serious wounds he still got knocked out by the explosion. His companion had to check on him to see whether he was okay before continuing to jump from tree to tree. That's how one of Iwa's genin failed the Chunin exam.

In comparison to team Y, which had lost one of their members, team E was doing well. Okura, who was probably the strongest in their group, was leading the group, and because she had good reflexes, she managed to avoid any trap that was set for them. Even though they were doing well, they were getting tired and probably couldn't continue to follow the instructor for another few hours, luckily for them after another hour, the instructor came to a halt in a small plain.

The first team to arrive next to the instructor was a team from Kumo, followed by a team from Konoha, and in third place was team E from Iwa. After the fastest team arrived, other teams slowly started to arrive, even though some teams had one member less. After 15 minutes of waiting, the instructor stated that all teams present here will pass to the next trail, the only ones who didn't pass were 1 genin from Iwa, 2 genin from Suna, and 1 genin from Konoha , from 24 participant only 20 remained.

Only four genin failed the first trail, but the second trail was designed specifically to reduce the number of genin.

The instructor grinned as he looked at the genin, knowing that after the second trial, at least half of them would be gone, making his work simpler because less genin means less responsibility, and by the way genin who failed this trial ( probably wounded or unconscious ) would be cared for by the medical team.
